  • In this episode of Baggers & BS we head over to Get Lowered Cycled in PA where Mike has just installed the new BST carbon fiber wheels. Along the way I get my first feel for the carbon wheels and what a difference they make to the performance of my CVO. While testing the wheels out, we come across a nice burger joint in Branchburg NJ called 30 Burgers, which had amazing burgers and hospitality. We finally arrive back at the garage and I give my brief opinion of my ride home and how the bike felt with the wheels. Lastly I close with my commentary after having the wheels on the bike for a few months and a true and accurate opinion of what the wheels are like and how I truly feel about them and if $6400 was with it.

Yeah, the wheels are definitely a game changer, I will definitely have more on them in the future., I’m gonna be trying to do a little bit more Indian content coming up but who knows maybe some carbon wheels will end up on the Indian lol

I have been debating a set of BST carbon fiber wheels for my Challenger. You pretty well covered my concerns with pot holes and really rough roads. Still on the fence due to the cost, I could go SMT billet and spend almost $2k less - which would allow me to do a few other things to the Challenger. Is the price difference and weight over a set of billet wheels really worth it?

I well for me i personally feel that the cost was for sure worth the money. Now if they feel as good as they do on the road glide, they will be even better on the challenger brother. In my opinion, the Challenger handles better from the factory than the Road glide and with these wheels forget it.

@@Baggersandbs Alright, you are the second person that has told me it's totally worth it. I'll probably contact Kyle early this next year to order a set. Still have a few other things to take care of before I can swing the cost of those carbon fiber wheels. Rebuilding the front forks this winter, plan to upgrade to the Big Bear drop-in cartridge kit and replace the neck bearings with All Balls Racing upgrade kit. Thanks again.

Ironically enough, I plan to do the upgrade kit for the front end as well with the big bear chopper dropping cartridges. Again that’s gonna be another game changer. Stock suspension is so good. I can only imagine how much better it will be once the cartridges are done.
