    Liked the format. Lake breakdowns and seasonal bait recommendations are always good. Thanks.

      Thank you for watching and the feedback. I wanted to talk about baits more but the video was already long enough. I will get better at these the more I do them.

    I have been fishing Melones since the 70's, for both bass and trout. One of our favorite lakes. Its great to find a local fisherman that i can get the motherload lake reports from. Good report. Subscribed. Thank You.

      I am glad you liked it! If you watch my other Melones videos all of these spots show up consistently.

    Well I can vouch that your information is accurate. I was there April 28th 2022 and you pointed out one spot that I fished and the information you gave was 100% accurate. I only fished about a 200-foot area of that bank and I would say I caught a fish every 15 minutes. I decided to get out of there when the Whitecaps got real bad the wind came up and I'm in a small boat. Thanks for sharing your info. Ken

      I am super happy it was able to hep you catch fish! This was all meant for someone to be able to have a point of reference so they could think of other spots on the same or different lakes to help build from. Thank you for watching and taking the time to give me feed back.

      No problem. I am glad you liked it. If you ever feel like your in a slump or want to learn a new technique, Melones is a good place to just get bit. There are a ton of small Spotted Bass that seem to love to eat whatever moves at times.

    I hit that same bank but waaaaaaay off shore in 50 to 70 in the winter. Killer spot between those rock fields and the trees. Also there's a massive point that goes out before Carson creek. That's my special spot. Mormon creek by Tuttle has been good to me. I'd also recommend Carson creek.

      Those are some good places on that lake! I picked these three community holes to talk about because there are other places on this lake and multiple other lakes that set up the same way. In no way is there not better places on this lake that are better then the ones I talked about. Haha

      @straithookedfishing of course my friend. Good video. Always good to try to be relatable to most bodies of water and not spot specific

    Lake breakdowns are one of the most valuable things to anyone, man. Sub’d immediately- almost went up there this weekend and I’ve never been. awesome job would love to hv a quick synopsis of the lake like what’s where, what’s it called would love to know good campgrounds to stay in also where are the worst places to fish? Where are the dangerous spots? I know a dude that almost threw out his lower unit in one of those big coves. Great job again thanks!!!

      I am glad you liked it. That place holds fish year round. That isn't the only place in that lake that sets up like that. All of the places I meantion are repeatable in the lake. That is why I picked them.

    Great video! I’m heading there from out of the area next week, do you have any advice that we could use with the higher water levels? Thanks

    • @straithookedfishing
      @straithookedfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. I just fished these areas a couple months ago. These same areas worked for me. They are consistent areas wven with the water levels as these structures run all the way up the bank. If you look around Google earth and look for simular set ups to these areas you can easily find more. I hope it helps! Good luck!

    • @straithookedfishing

      Water temps were average of 62-63. I saw up to 68 and down to 60. Depended on what part of the lake you were at. Thank you for watching.

      I was debating doing it for that lake but I am not completely sure on water level. I don't want to do a video and have most of my spots I know of be out of water. When I fish the lake again I will probably do one then.

    Ruining spots for people that found them on their own lol.

    • @straithookedfishing
      @straithookedfishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      All of these spots are community holes. It is not like people cant drive by them and see that there are always boats there already. I am sorry you feel this way. The intention is to help people grow in this sport that we all love.
