Stress level zero lore hunter here, here's some answers to your questions. 1.the guns being added most likely have to do with cryptids, void anomalies, rogue nullbodies, and pretty much anything that would be a danger to the users of MythOS. 2. Death was most likely added as a way to keep the peace, if someone or something were to go on a giant rampage destroying cities and stuff, jail probably wouldn't be an immediate option. The "This can't be good for our psyche" is most likely referring to how when your in the void/mythOS, dying simulates actual death which can cause a lot of physical and emotional distress, it isn't confirmed but thats just my theory. 3. Dying being added also is the same reason as the first point, its to prevent havoc and keep the peace. 4. slz in-universe actually create video games too, duck season, hover junkers, and most of the other cartridges you see in duck season are all games they've developed. They are the fantasy land devs, but after a part of fantasy land (Heavens reach) gain sentience, monogon wanted to quarantine that specific part of fantasy land to study their behavior. As for why slz ran from monogon and flushed everything, it isn't exactly known but i always thought they had some other plan against monogon since they used Gammon tech (The body log) despite it being banned. 5. How saberlake actually covered up the deaths of ford isn't known, personally i theorize that ford was very lonely (no offense to ford) and had little to no contact with whatever family he may have (if his family were alive, ford is an orphan theory lol?) ford also doesn't have any public affiliation with slz, he was the security director for the boneworks project. 6. Alex knoll has said "time/clock stuff is generally related to cryptid happenings." so do what you will with that info, what it exactly means for 3:14 though is unknown as of now. The 7. the 1996 discrepancy might just be the date that the stuff was copyrighted. Void energy itself can't help you get into the void, You need a way to transfer your mind out of mythos and the boneworks engine straight into the void, or whatever other gateways that exist out there. 8. I'm realllllyyy excited to talk about this. If you look at early concept art of project 4, you'd notice how incredibly different what we originally were meant to get from what we actually got, and a message from Alex Knoll says "project 4 and HOTMK are sabrelake focused games , Boneworks is Monogon focused , Duck Season and Curvelight are Gammon NOTE: because yall love going through ancient msgs for screenshots - This was pre-narrative split. Bonelab is a LavaGang focused game." So whatever the books that say project 4 are referring to, is definitely not the bonelab. 8. The box labeled with hayes could mean a bunch of things, it isn't confirmed but here's some of my theories. 1. Hayes is working with Lavagang as a double agent against monogon, It's unlikely but still possible if we assume hayes is still working with monogon after the incident with ford. 2. This is a fake security signature of sorts to hack and get the emergency elevator. That's all the answers i could think of for your questions, if you have any more questions feel free to join the official slz server and check out the #bonelore channel to ask questions, seriously its the only way to find reliable answers on the lore. Do not use the fan wiki.
I laughed at the idea of Ford being an orphan, but i don't think he is. In the breakroom of Boneworks, Ford wrote on a sticky note something along the lines of "reminder to call mom".
1. is kinda wrong, fantasy land was an experiment (i think) at first, they delivered items through the wishing wells (you can see one of them in a secret keycard room), and slowly they started adding weapons and stuff like that to see what would happen if they introduced brutality to them
Fantasy at first was meant to be a mmo/RPG game, but after monogon took over the Heaven's reach part of fantasy land, the well was meant to be a way to interact with the AI under the guise of the items being sent up was from some sort of god, so the ai wouldn't find out they live in a simulation. After a while some of the higher ups decided to experiment a bit without the permission of monogon by sending in more violent weapons such as a war axe and other weapons, some of the lower employees express they're distaste with how they're breaking the rules monogon had put in for the wishing well lift, but the higher ups brushed them off. and of course as you know, after a while they had become a more violent village killing eachother. So technically heaven's reach is an experiment, but fantasyland itself at the very least was originally meant to be a game.
They added guns look for Fantasyland is what I think. I dove into the lore and found a bunch of videos saying that they needed to feeds the MP she's violence and executions to keep it running properly
I think hayes made the elevator as a result of one fantasy land worker not able to use his ID to leave mythos. It's not directly linked but it is coincidental. Either that or he is working with lava gang since he seems pretty worried that Saber Lake worker where at his door despite him not causing the shut down
take this all with a grain of salt I haven't dug that deep and have a pretty bad memory, also these aren't perfectly in order and I skipped some things 1: I think with the guns it's because of limited resources which sounds weird but in Bone lab they talk about how deleting/adding things straightaway without going through a process is what causes void leaks, so guns are just for practicality 2: I'm pretty sure that in mythos you have a fully simulated body as its physics are in game the same as those of the real world (or close) so to support a human mind you need a body and a body can be damaged and it might take extensive research to be able to remove pain from the body and keep all the other feelings 3:in bone lab I think they pretty much say that SLZ is leaving because they don't like the way Monogon is run, and I think the reason they go to the void is because you can do pretty much anything there (Jimmy talking about how in the void you just have to think to do things) 4: I mean I don't think it'd be that hard to cover up Fords death considering that Saberlake has real world counterparts to the hazmat soldiers suggesting they're pretty big 5: I mean even if they were moving to a more modern design if you flush Fantasy Land, they can't really do that they have to start from scratch rather than convert it 6: for the copyright dates I don't think it's really a thing to change the copyright date on an object every year 7:in the museum basement you can find a whiteboard in a hidden room where Lava gang was trying to figure how to get "a package" to the void and the emergency portable elevator was an idea pitched by Hayes
Im really excited to see the next update and the next bonelab game, the feeling of these games is like no other-,the closest thing i could compare it to is half life two, i really hope- SLZ isent lazy with the next like like they were with bonelab
for the 5th: 3:14 he stopped time, but never in the story you start back the time don't you? could either be a second breach, could still be ford after boneworks which would explain why the time is still stopped! but knowing the game would be finished in 97 but we play in 96 i love the idea of ford being corrupted n having an agreement
so in the end of boneworks you end up in fantasylamd as ford so why in bonelab your a diffrent player where did ford go after boneworks why was bonelab so short and added nothing to the story
Ford went to the void, fantasy land was the last stop to the void.Fantasyland had direct access to the void.Bonelab You are a pesant that is called into that body at exaction and is guided to the void.
Mythos is made to be a virtual metropolis I don't doubt that they have kid centric things similar to mine dive and the wishing well that's in the hidden key card room.

i thought 3:14 was just a math reference since thats pi and game developing takes a good ton of math
on clocks being 3:14, it could also be that they never fixed the clock, as mythOS never opened to the public if i’m not mistaken.
1:48 ow my ears
My brain hurts
same

the guns in mythos are from jimmy, he gave them to you as you can hear when he gives you the red pistol
boneworks....It has a level for Guns. That were added by monogon.
does anybody know what that live action video is???
