Barbarian can feel clunky at times because of the high resource cost of the core abilities, I've put together the best tips and methods for increasing fury gain and by extension your DPS all in this video! Hope it helps.

One note about the Umbral aspect - You don't actually need challenging shout for that! As long as you have 1 point in the 'slow' node, you will always be Crowd Controlling every enemy you hit, as long as you have the 2h sword technique. You'll bleed every enemy, which slows them, which counts as CC.
Can also use berserk ripping to enable bleed so you can free up your sword expertise to 2H axe for vulnerable
Easy just picture the idea that they will nerf farming methods over and over thats makes me furious lmao
All you need for fury generation is two rings with Resource Generation and using Berzerk. That's all you need.

i already have those fury mods and i still run out in about 3-4 spins.
Mothers embrace seems a lot better for fury cost refund since it’s 40 percent and you should be hitting 5 enemies everytime you WW. I have a max roll bold chieftains but it seemed way worse than mothers embrace. Thought?
mother's embrace is a unique which means you are locked in to the affixes it has. If they are all useful sure use that.

I need to see the paragon build for this video I don’t see it
I made a barbarian recently, and finally got it up to level 60 yesterday. been enjoying my time on it so far but feel like I've hit a wall. the stats on my gear don't seem to be getting much better than what I already have, and my damage and survivability feel a little bit lacking. I can clear nightmare dungeons and other content up to about 8-9 levels higher than me, but it still feels like I'm missing something. I have perfect roles of both echoing fury and umbral aspects as well as a perfect role of dire whirlwind. I have rage of harrogath and the 2 glyphs I'm running on my paragon board are exploit and marshal. even with all that and swapping out exploit for wrath I still can't sustain running unbridled rage, so I'm not quite sure what I'm missing. would love your feedback.
Yo I just hit 60 too and have the exact same problem lol. Unconstrained feels like ass, not even 1/2 the damage of unbridled. Lunging strike feels pointless other than using it a couple times to stack aspect of expectant. I've been farming whispers/nightmares praying for bold chieftan to drop so I can keep my shouts up. But yeah just kinda sucks because its pretty easy to die in a teir 15-20 when you're rage starved.
@@OGmeatwad I've been doing the same. Bold cheiftans is just way too good to pass up. if you werent already aware, it only drops on t4 tho. I've somehow been able to sustain unbridled I bit better without it but it definitely is a game changer. As for lunging strike I think it's really nice for sustain since if you have a high roll expectant aspect it's great for closing the gap without spending any fury, while still gaining a considerate boost to your damage. My advice if you're stuck in t3, would be try rolling essence cost reduction and cooldown reduction on as many pieces of gear as you can, then try unbridled. You will still have some downtime on your whirlwind but it should be strong enough to push the capstone dungeon and get you into t4. Just take your time between packs to give your shouts time to come off cooldown.
@@hakuryu5874 Damn didn't know bold chief was t4 lol but glad its not just bad rng. Cost reduction is pretty clutch too, I have about 11% between my boots and amulet. But like homie recommended in the video I'll give umbral a try and see if it helps
you can get bold chief at T3. Just got mine today doing tree of whispers.
@@infamous0300 ah, got it. Everyone I talked to said they didn't get it until t4, so we all figured it didn't drop until then. Maybe it gets more common? Either way it doesn't really matter to me since I've been in t4 for a good bit now and haven't seen a single bold chieftan drop. Must just be stupid rare.

You also get CC when you cause bleeding if you have a point into hamstring which slows all bleeding enemies by 10 percent.
CD reduction on low level items is so low that it almost doesn't do anything. Or, is the early game lvl 50 paragon 50? I am confused. Level 100 to me is like a million dollars. edit: Rogue is soo much easier to play and does much more damage to everything from the get-go without doing any of these gymnastics.
Aspect of the umbral.... if slow is crowd control... will having thorns that add bleed which in turn slows (if ya specks into it), build fury when your hit?

Wrath of berzerker spends more fury than normal, this skill is bugged
I wanna start a barb but which build do I use to level up to 50? Efficiently? Does whirlwind work from level 1 straight to end game? Or do you use other build to get there? Pls help 🙏
Whirlwind can work from early on but it's not nearly as simple as going rend :( I do plan to make a full 1-100 guide in the coming days but if you're in a hurry pop in the livestream here on TH-cam sometime and I can go through it while I play a bit :> I go live nearly everyday morning early afternoon time for US

I leveled up Barb with Whirlwind, just make sure you use Call of the Ancients instead of Wrath of the Berzerker. That is until you feel like your Whirlwind does more damage than your ancestral spirits.
You could try hota with leap, it's pretty fun

Hey man, what’s better in the endgame, Echoing Fury or Umbral? Since every hit of our WW bleeds/slows that’s CC so isn’t that a constant Resource Gen as long as we are spinning? Just curious if you’ve done any testing between the two.

He’s using bleed build so he has to use a slashing weapon. He is using a 2 handed sword because they give bonus crit damage. For technique my guess is two handed axe so he can have more damage vs vulnerable targets. And then he most likely uses dual wield for his basic attack so he can generate fury with the quicker attack speed.
Is aspect of the umbral not used in the late-game because against bosses it doesn't provide enough?

What do I do with these;
1.Ramaldani Magnum opus x 2
2. Battle trance
3. 100,000 steps
The only one I can use ATM is rage of harrogath ( I have 2 copies of these ATM)
I also got a frostburn gloves for sorc
I'm right with you there bro. I got the boots of 1000 steps 4 x and the same sort as you two times. As soon as I switch to whirlwind from hammer of the ancients all my items start to be for other builds
@@zmollon I've got 2 frostburn gloves for sorcerer. 3 mothers embrace now. I think I have 80 % of the uniques needed for a walking arsenal build. I might do another character that uses all the other uniques but not ATM.
I have fields of crimson and ancients oath added to my stash. I mean like did the devs hard coded these to make us spin2win change into other builds? Or is the RNG gods having a laugh ATM. It's great fun tho
@@ronweasley9001 follow up complaint: stash space is way too small. Even if 1 was shared and others were all independent it wouldn't be enough
@@zmollon they're going to fix gems stash. Dont know when. Should be during or shortly before season 1. July I think
