I bought their T6R Evo in July 21st, burnt through 2 starter box wheels just getting it to start. Since then I have been having nothing put problems with it. The carburetor slide sticks/binds when getting on the throttle, then it get stuck wide open, braking doesn’t close it. I have ran it 3-4 times tops. I have a return started and now waiting on Amain’s reply.
Great vid bruh, These nova engines got what it takes but yeah you MUST tear down and inspect everything before you start the thing. The G9R engine for on road is a monster
Nova needs to hire some of Novarossi's prior builders or something. That's just careless engine assembly to have debris sitting in a fresh motor. They have a quality control issue. How do you get shavings inside of such a little engine. Do they pre run these prior to selling them? I just don't understand how you can have machining debris in a fresh motor. And in regard to the bearing, it must be old stock from Novarossi. Well they will learn quickly if this type of thing becomes a common issue. They should have been going above and beyond to avoid issues like these
Looking good so far. I know you've got a roma aswell be interested to see how it compares as i love my roma but spares are very hard to find so would like a replacement engine.
Its looking much better than the first batch of Novas. The ports are Big! The crank window aswell! This engine is not designed for fuel economy ! Is the crankshaft still as tight as it was in the b5? This is very interesting, I wish I had one in my hands to check the numbers and compare it to my p324. If you are happy with it in the long run, I may try one 🤔 A shame for the wrist pin and the steel bearing.. but you cant complain, you got much better aftermarket service than me 😆
Yeah for sure, I’m much more happy with the t6r than the b5r the fit and finish is much better, the crank comes out of the block like it should. And it runs fantastic much more reliable than the b5r once again. End of this season I’ll disassemble this engine and see how it’s held up.
@@thenitronation5815 I bought this engine in febuary, and i have had nothing but problems with it. My initial experience was like yours, fired up and ran beautifully through the break in process. a week later i take the car out just to do some tuning and run some more fuel through it, did not touch any setting on the carb and it just gags on fuel all through the midrange. last week i tore the engine down, found the DLC coating has flaked off the crankshaft, midspeed needle had a torn o ring, . i was shocked at how easily you are able to remove the head and sleeve- i had to heat gun the snot out of mine and it was still very difficult to remove. i replaced the midspeed needle and took it for a quick test drive still acts about the same, just no power, always loaded up on fuel. can you tell me where your needle settings are at and what % of nitro you're running? ive been figting with this thing for 5 months and im at my wits end
@nateharris1918 my b5r was like that, it was a dud just nothing went right with it. I would just try to return it like I did mine. I thought this t6r was going to be the same way but so far it has been flawless, break in was easy, took 10 minutes or less to tune, has lots of power and runs consistent. I run it on 30%
How is it holding up? I'm thinking of buying the T6R. How does it compare power wise to your larger engines? (LRP .28, 30, .32 etc) I've had the LRP .32 and it was awesome but the case cracked...
So far it’s been perfect I haven’t put a lot of fuel through it though. It’s very quick for what it is. I don’t think it has the torque of the lrp .28-32 but it’s a screamer and very quick to its powerband.
Definitely wouldn’t be running any of those novas for racing ever since jarred Wiggins started running them he hasn’t been competitive seems like he is always having an issue
@@jonpye8655 you didn’t catch all the metal that came out of it? You shouldn’t have to dis assemble a factory assembles race engine to check for metal and to actually find metal is just unacceptable
it might be common but that is freaking stupid they put together Engines being that dirty. are they comming directly of the Cnc, so bad quality control !
@@thenitronation5815 what do you mean "no". A square engine has the same bore as stroke , No engines made my Nova currently are square , their .24 engines are all .1mm less in bore and stroke vs the Novarossi Roma . 17.5 stroke and a 17mm bore isnt square. 17.5 bore and 17.5 stroke would be square
Great content 🎉I learned a lot .. that is insane the inside of the motor😮 but good to know it’s common I never knew that! Thanks 🙏
That metal residue is not normal in other engines
@henriksrensen3220 I’ve had almost every make they pretty much all come like that from my experience

Very unfortunate another dud. Hopefully they are as good to you as they were to me.

Hell yeah brother awesome!!!🔥🔥👊
Cool video what bearing puller do you use??? God Bless…Virgil
I use the reds bearing puller for 14mm crankshafts
Novarossi split in 2. REDS & NOVA. Nova denies it 😂 but the proof is in the Bearings 😆
Looks nice

They must not clean them enough after the final machining process, no they are not pre run. But I agree they really have to work on stuff like this

So far this engine is a blast and similar in performance to the Roma.

Love that bearing tool. Where did you get it?
AMain’s

Are you concerned with the QC of this engine?
I was at first but I think it’ll be fine

Nova is novarossi. Thats why the old bearing.
Wow that's fu ked. Can't believe that with this new company I have seen a few like this now
I was about to buy one of these, but now i just wont. They have 0 quality control for what it seems...
