    This helmet has two issues:
    1 - At 120 Km/h, on a bike without windscreen, it's very, very noisy. After 30 minutes at that speed, when you stop, you'll get your ears ringing.
    Trying to hear intercoms at that speed, it's nearly impossible with such noise.
    2 - In winter, you can't close the top vents. There are four. They have no closing system. You'll need to put some tape, so the water doesn't get inside. Or, if it's only cold but no rain, you need to use a balaclava and that's fine.
    Mine is the white mate finish and it gets dirty very easy and it's hard to clean.

    Good looking helmet. Audio and video quality are very good. Other than when audio went out of sync..

      Thanks, JC! I appreciate it. Took me a while to figure out the sound. Yeah, for some reason the audio when out os sync when I unplugged the mic from the GoPro. Should have fixed it is post..

    Nice review! It has microlock closure or the double D rings? Also, it has the new ECE22-06 standard? Thank you very much!

    • @GreaseAndGravel
      @GreaseAndGravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! It is ECE-R22-05 and quick-release (not double D rings). I hope that helps!

    i have a similar older model, they are pretty good at high speed for my KTM 640 adv and also Tenere 700 ... could be padded a bit more. It doesn't get any better with time!
    And I made the mistake to order it in my size and not one above.
    Its my winter helmet. (Winter in Cyprus, is like summer in the Uk)
    in our hot summers i prefer an open moto cross helmet

      Thanks for the comment! Good to hear that it is still good at high speed. yeah, our winters is still hotter than the UK summers. Today was very close to 40. Winter is perfect riding weather (around 25C).

    8 months later, do you have any bad things to say about the helmet?

    • @GreaseAndGravel
      @GreaseAndGravel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Nope, it is good value for money. One of the fasteners that holds the peak rattled out, but I should have checked them sooner

    Hello, I have a question, can the top vents be closed? I think not and if it rains water will enter, I'm thinking of buying it

    • @GreaseAndGravel
      @GreaseAndGravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. No, only the front vent can be opened or closed. The top vents at the front are nuder the peak and are covered so rain can't fall straight in from above when standing still. The rear vents (exits) are angled down, so rain won't get in there. I've not had the chance to ride in hard rain yet. Sorry I can't be of more help.

    • @GreaseAndGravel
      @GreaseAndGravel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they should fit. I haven't tried it though, but I've seen other riders on TH-cam mention it. Maybe search around some more

      @GreaseAndGravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just got the helmet so haven’t tried it myself, but in this video, Chase from Rocky Mountain ATV tried it and said it will fit: th-cam.com/video/CHy6wH2NOJ0/w-d-xo.html I will get some goggles and try it

      @@GreaseAndGravel Nice video boetie! Looking for a new helmet myself, the RMATV video mentions there are no speaker pockets. But I think the Sierra II ADV and the Sierra Helmet R V.23 are slightly different? Can you confirm for sure if your v.23 has speaker pockets behind the cheek pads? Want to fit my cardo speakers in there.

    • @GreaseAndGravel
      @GreaseAndGravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@baconsteakey Thanks, Stephen. I just checked and yes, the R. V.23 has speaker pockets. There is an indentation in the cheek pad where your ear is. In fact, behind the padded material, there is a round piece of black material that's flush with the white shell that looks like it is to stick velcro to. I will fit my Fodsports system and make a video soon. Cheers
