your tips and tricks and you sharing some knowledge that you accumulated for the past couple years that youve been playing really helped to improve and learn from my mistakes keep up the great content josh!
I don't come by here, Steel's channel or twitch often, but I just wanna say that everytime I do, he gives me such a vibe of a guy that has a little bit of everything in him; empathetic, understanding, kind, smart, kinda wise, confident, observant, aware, and a whole host of other skills and positive personality traits. Basically, just seems like one of the coolest people I've seen.
For me it was my Depression that brought me into a slump, I used to be lvl 8 in faceit constantly top fragging when suddenly i got a 13 lose streak, which contributed to my depression in a way I took a break from cs but now i cant get past lvl 5 and I always have 1 good game and then 1 bad game, I keep overthinking things instead of just playing the game.
Exact same thing happened to me. I used to love video games and got pretty damn good at them until i just started to feel depressed and since then my skill has dropped and I’ve never really gained it back. Even outside of games I just don’t feel all there anymore.
Thank you for your personal ongoing understanding, enthusiasm and also instruction to boost my direction to getting more consciously attentive in addition to spiritually connected.
U speak a lot of truth and i appreciate this video and how you go out of your way to be a person/friend to your viewers and not just something to throw on at night.
This video really hit home because it's so true, after New year's I took a month break from cs when my self esteem was extremely low due to so many people talking shit to me, which really made me think I was bad and I was playing like shit because of it. When I came back I had more motivation than ever I hope you win eglx
If you don't want to take a long break from cs, I suggest dming, but with a different style. For example, only 2 bursting and strafing instead of spraying everything. The most important thing though is to HAVE FUN. It's a game after all and if you constantly play with a serious state of mind you're always gonna be hyper self-critical. So when you're down 14-1 in the first half just remember that it's just a game and its designed so you can't win them all. If you start to play with this in mind you will start playing better, I guarantee it.
I've been having a real struggle to play lately... the last vid helped me to push through it but I guess I need a better way to improve myself. Thanks steel, you're the beast.
Yo steel ty for this video. Its really good. I just wanna say one thing i had a lot of times problem with money and i still do and i saw how much can it effect my game. Last week was the worst for me i got headaches every day and dizziness attacks and i cant play atm cuz my sinuses hurt and i csnt focus... Next week im going to doctor to see what is really reason for my problems is it stress or something else. If anyone reads this remember be happy that u can play game cuz there are lot of people that cant and maybe would like to... Focus and give ur best. Peace
This guy gets a lot of shit in the case community but watching these you can clearly see he knows his stuff. He sees that bad performance isn’t always down to bad game knowledge and could be something deeper like a mindset and things outside of the game. Things like this can easily be helpful irl too.
Yeah. Karrigan stretching his wrists. Them eating bananas. Niko, coldzera losing weight. Good diet makes you feel good. Tho I do wish pros would stop drinking those fucking AWFUL energy drinks so often.
Do you think that with time, people who drop in a lot of slumps (me lol) will learn how to become more focused while playing? Or is it a thing that effects everyone similarly, even pros?
crysata personally I think both yes and no, because after time you start handling it better but everybody get into slumps. The difference is how people handle it, a pro for example lives of it and he/she learns how to handle it better, but you gotta understand that a slump won’t go away just by focusing, many factors comes into getting out of a slump. I do for a fact study psychology and we learn about this, but the thing is we all react differently so just find your thing. Just remember everybody falls into slumps, even pros that’s why it’s so known, because a pro were performing worse than usual the term slump rose it’s not because some kid that no one had heard of didn’t know how to hit a baseball all the sudden.
Josh, I really need your help on how to deal with aggressive players with better raw aim who push T spawn instantly. These guys always push and take aim duels. Can you make a video on starts I can use playing against aggressive opponents?.
Tommy Mack Thanks for the tips. I am going to start csgo when I get a new pc. For now I have been playing source (v34) for 3 months. Done around 60hrs. It doesn't have molotovs, these guys push through smokes, I have held angles, shot them in the back & played smart but a lot of them don't care, they push with the entire team once. They don't care about smokes, they wide peek, flashes work to some extent. They often even teleport (vanish?) and the next thing I know I am dead. Our entire team is around 1-4 months old. Our enemies almost always seem lightning fast and I just can't react. The only time I win a duel is if I play it smart and flank them or when I am going for exit frags. I have turned into a lurk by now. 1 on 1 face offs are almost always a disastor. This is about everything I have observed.
Dude, i have a weird problem Remember when you posted that video about one dimensional players? I'm in that point. I know that i am kind of a dumb player atm but i really don't know how to change. I tried watching demos and povs but it seems not productive for me at all, i'm at a weird mental spot that i know that i'm playing bad because of my decisions but i really don't know how to make better decisions. Maybe i'm studying demos wrong? Maybe i'm not playing enough pugs? (i've lost some opportunities to play on some good teams because of that) On my way to 4k hours and i feel that i'm not improving at all... FeelsBadMan
This video perfectly explains your problem. It is your external factor that keeps you down, which is the knowing of your poor decisions and thinking that it will affect you in anyway. Get out of that. As an underlying quote from Steel, "There are other ways to approach the game". Everything is so simple for you, you can communicate, be a lurker for the team, help with trades close up. I also see that demos and povs aren't working for you, but if you still want to be reliant based on how the pros play, search up 'Elmapuddy' and I guarantee (no ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) results.

Moritz `ACE` Rungger he used to be a lot better but in the past few months he has been playing really poorly
Hi lol 😂
Any thoughts on people in a permanent slump??? That's a video I need
Faze eating bananas between matches shows how important diet is. Take it as seriously as a professional should

Although it is in a can similar to energy drinks, it is probably just water. Sponsorship deals

b888 molotovs, hold off angles, camp behind corners, just wait for them to rush behind a corner and shoot them in the back.
