You fell into the common trap re: the 'missing' attacks, which so many people don't understand. You aren't missing, and the hit detection in this game is not bugged at all, in fact it's flawless. What you're actually seeing are the results of two distinct but simultaneous systems - the combined effects of your accuracy stat vs. the enemies evasion stat (eg. the zombie spawning floating eggplant enemies in the Ruins of Pandora have sky high evasion and tend to cast evade up on themselves) as well as the fact that every enemy in the game has TWO difference animations when they get hit - one where they are knocked down and still vulnerable to taking damage, and the other a 'spaced out' animation expression where they have a moderate window of i-frames before they can take damage again once they are out of the animation
You're a really underrated youtuber. Love your content. You should make videos on Persona 4 Golden. I could use some advise for my Very Hard play-through. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I don't think I'll be able to play P4G anytime soon but it's definitely on my list of games I have to play. The game's been out awhile so I feel like there should be some well written guides for it already.
The remake gets way too much contempt from fans and critics. It's a lovingly crafted title. If fans want/demand Square Enix for remakes, they should be aware Square Enix pays attention to how their games are received, and are likely going to be reluctant to keep remaking games. But on a more serious note, they better not fuck up Final Fantasy VII.
Yeah, I'm really hoping for FFVII to be good. Since they're actually remaking the whole thing including combat, I think it won't fall into the traps that Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger had. I don't think they'll mess up the music but who knows how people will react. I agree that fans were kind of harsh but they should be critical of things they don't like. This gives Square feedback on how to improve on their future releases. Although, I think with Secret of Mana it was kind of a weird case. I took every review I saw with a grain of salt because of how powerful nostalgia is.
5:52 Neko leaves the Witch’s Castle as soon as you defeat Spiky Tiger in the 2018 3D version of Secret of Mana, whereas on the SNES version, he remains in his cell until you leave the dungeon. This change is also present in the mobile version.
One more thing for the PS4 Remake they put the face into the water east from the light house when you fly a little in this direction. It's in the top right part of the map as on the SNES. But the face on the mountain is gone in the PS4 Remake. What about the book monsters with the special 8bit easter egg that where on the SNES? Has the Remake a different one? I couldn't tell because the enemies where dying so fast.
Yeah, I also had trouble trying to see if that was still in. It's extremely rare so I can't say for sure. I know I didn't see it but I also didn't spend too much time waiting for it to show up (maybe like 30 minutes). I have terrible luck so it wouldn't surprise me if I will never see it.
As fair at the stairs go, I prefer the more realistic feel of the SNES. I mean who doesn't have a slight delay in movement when walking up or down stairs?
hm..... be it the names or the orb text "maybe a miss-translation" ..... actually checking instead of just randomly guessing would've been nice...and easy since someone introduced that novelty "internet" to the world...
How comes the new game looks uglier??? (i know why but... you know? they could have done it right ez) It looks so washed out, where the original has clear powerful colors
Oh GOD no... you poor thing. Please don't ever touch the god awful remake again. The original is still glorious and the only true way to play this game
Haha, I'm not gonna lie. I use the "white washed" version when I talk to my friends about it. Glad I decided to say it the right way when I made these videos.

they haven't screwed up fifnal fantasy 7 remake at lest not in the first part and i doubt they will in the next part
A small annoyance, but the original SNES said “gets whacked” for a critical hit. It was removed in the remake.

There's a little one in Matango I noticed - "Gontma" no longer means goodbye. In the remake, they spell it "Ognatam".
6:58 Oh boy, that pronunciation of "Thanatos," lmao.
SNES stairs are better. It makes sense.
Btw, Nice editing and channel.
Keep it up.

They changed the name of the midge mallet.
can you cheese spell cycle like on the SNES?
No, you can't chain cast
@@JRPGFanatic 😮😮😮
is the difficulty of the enemies and or bosses lower in the ps4 remake. Or is it the same?

Thank you for pronouncing mana correctly. For years/decades the word mana has been “white washed”.
White washed= man ah
Proper pronunciation= ma nah.

That's not what "white washed" means.
