To anyone looking to buy a screen (or, honestly, a pad) tablet for conventional use (not professional): My advice is that it really doesn't matter to get the best of the best. If it doesn't have hotkeys, you'll get used to it without hotkeys. If there's a large border, you'll get used to the border. If it's a small screen, you'll get used to it. So, basically, don't worry about all the details of the tablet. Of course, if you're looking to buy a new tablet and you're used to hotkeys, a large screen, no border, etc, it's probably wise to get a new tablet with similar features but, again, generally you'll get used to whatever you have. So don't fret about the small details and make sure your choice is well informed on other important things (such as reliability, brand, etc). I'm no expert for professional art so don't take my word as law, but this is just with my experience. Best of luck!
Yeah, I have a wacom intuos, there isn't a screen you just plug it into a computer. I honestly love it, it's small and it doesn't require cleaning as often. (ya girl is lazy asf)

Thanks for being you waffles!
My friend and i were talking about her channel today. We attempted to draw once of her characters in our style. It was....ok. But i still envy your style and skill ❤
I'm finally able to get one of these, and I'm SO excited. I've mainly moved to fully digital art, but still do my base sketches on paper. And whilst I love the feeling of pen to paper, scanning it is always a hassle, and I'm looking forward to drawing on a screen and the freedom it gives. Also, not going to the art supply store every week will be nice. I'm so picky about paper, and there is only one store in my city that still sells the paper I like. Also, your art never ceases to amaze me. I'm completely in love with your style.
Almost To 1 Million Subscribers!!! So proud of you for coming this far in the first place you are such an inspiration to me, I hope everything is okay in your life and that you’re happy, if you’re not you will be, you deserve happiness❤️
I could so do with one of these. I find it so hard to draw on a tablet while looking at my monitor. Being able to draw directly onto the screen seems so much easier. Shame it's so expensive
I love how she explaining and drawing at the same time because I'm learning some drawing techniques visually and I hearing information at the same time
I love your channel so much. Your points of views and the way you speak about things. And I know people ask for a face-reveal, and I disagree. Your focus is on the art and the tools and the ways to utilize it. And I love it! People are so addicted to worshipping the person, and not the talent or the product... Yiss!
i have watched so many tutorials on drawing in Photoshop..... but yours answered so many questions so fast... i love how you explained almost everything every step of the way... i hope you do more of these buz for a beginner digital artist you had all the tips that were important
i’m allergic to cats if she lightly brushes is with her hand or arm it doesn't sensor it but if she presses and zooms in and out, it does sensor it. Don't take my word for law, but I have quite a lot of experience with gadgets as my dad sells them second hand. :)
I just got a Wacom Intuos for Christmas and I love it. I'm still not used to drawing without actually seeing the art on the surface I'm drawing on. It's so fun though. I still think that I use a too thick pen to trace, but I love digital drawing now.
I love this video. I'm trying to learn how to draw digitally, and I'm a visual learner. So, watching her draw showing her using her hands, and watching her draw in general is helping me understand more than I already did.
This is awesome!! I just got my first drawing tablet (huion h420) and I’m really happy you released this so I can see what you do! Maybe in the future you could try a free drawing program, I’d love to see that! I use Krita, and I like it a lot! I wonder how different it really is from Photoshop.
this turned out to be one of the best digital art tutorial without me even expecting it. i finally understood what exactly i have to do for colouring. thanks rin
Wow, I'm blown away! I'm blown away by the fact that you can sketch just as awesome on a tablet as you can on paper, I'm blown away with the technology of this tablet -I'm in the market for one. And I'm just overall stunned by your talent. You've inspired me so much to just keep practicing and "stealing" like you said, and I'm making so much progress with all of your advice and videos.
Yay I love it when you post! I just got an ipad pro for Christmas and have been doing digital art lately!! Thank you For this! Do you have any tips on getting better at digital art?
there are cheaper tablets such as the wacom intuos (still like 100 quid i think but it was my first drawing tablet and i still love it to bits) or getting a pen for an ipad (if you already have one that has pen compatability ofc). I really don't see the point in getting a cintiq unless you're a professional or a serious hobbyist who has money saved up and would like one a lot- there are many tablets that do the exact same thing but are just smaller and not as high-res that do just fine
Change your tone. Say, I can't wait until I have £700 to buy my digital art pad. Your thoughts become things, and you are a product of your mental state. Just like broke is a temporary state and poor is a mental state.
I use my old outdated tablet with ibisPaint but it’s fine, I just wish I could you know GET NEW APPS it’s so old it can’t get any apps unless I had them before. It’s bad
I like that you actually record yourself using the tablet! Most reviews with screen tablets they just record the monitor. I want to see what it looks like to draw with one of these, so thank you for that. ♥
YAYA new waffles vid. .........AWESOME.......... ( Q. Do you prefer scrawlerbox or palletful for us in the U.S. ) Cute glasses BTW *sees you start over* Ohhh........she started over Oh well the end is still great anyway
I’ve actually kinda have been considering digital art. I think this will be really helpful! ✌🏻😋 Edit: I checked the price and it’s WAY out of my price range.
I love my Wacom Cintiq Pro so much- I use it all the time and if someone cant find me, its pretty easy to assume where I am hiding... :3 I was super lucky to get it, and I am so super grateful for it too ^.^ I honestly love digital drawing/art, cause like you said you can modify, delete, and do all sorts of stuff that you cant do with traditional art. Great review too! I honestly just love watching reviews where the artist just babbles and talks about their art, like they are talking to you directly. Keep up the awesomeness!
DrawingWiffWaffles I just wanted to say, I LOVE YOUR ART STYLE!! I have never seen art like yours I love how colorful, realistic, cartoony, and fun your pictures are!
I’m new to your channel and I had a few questions 1. How long have you been into art 2. Did you go to college for art 3. Have you ever done a draw my life if so can u leave the link 😁 TY
1. I've been into art all my life. I've been drawing consisentently for 10 years. 2. I didn't go to school for nor study art in college. I wish I had tho. 3. I haven't done a draw my life. But I probably should. hehe 💜 Welcome to my channel, Raven!
This helped me so much! I'm using Clip Studio Paint currently, and thinking about Photoshop. Do you have any tips for a newbie? P.S. I love your channel!!!
Well, what I use is tayasui sketches (lite or pro, your choice) for the outline then screen shot, bring it into ibis paint x and colour it. But make sure to change your paper type to white if you wanna do the ibis paint way. You can fill in in ts tho
One of my friends got something like this for Christmas and I thought it was cool. I low key want to buy one lol. I’m not that good with digital art though any tips? Love ya😊💗
With digital art, it can be kind of intimidating. I know I had a lot of trouble when starting out. its important not to give up on yourself after a failure. stick with it.
You don't even need to start with wacom. There are base level entry tablets that you can buy for an absolute fraction cost of this. Huion is a big example. It's not a display tablet but you don't need to jump right into them. Medibang pro and krita are a few free art programs too that you can look into. My tip is practice and don't give up! It will be a very strange sensation if you're used to drawing on paper, but persevere. New things take time and patience. Good luck!
Jenni __ Yes thanks for the advice. I would love to purchase one of these but obviously I’m a beginner and I would like to start off with something easier for me. So I am planning to purchase one that is cheaper 🙃
LazyLozart Thank you very much! As I beginner this information is very useful for me. Also I was planning to buy something that is not as pricey. I’ve had very little experience with digital art and drawing on something like this felt really weird but I slowly started to get used to it ( I’ve had a digital art class before). My teacher however didn’t focus on the drawing part because we mainly did projects with photoshop that included steps other than physical drawing. I will try to improve before I do purchase something though. Again thank you!!😄
Hello great vid I really love all your vids they keep me making art and just keep doing this and having fun💜💜💜💜💜💜🥞🥞🥞(I know they aren’t waffles) close enough

The cheapest tablets are the ones where you drawn on a tablet on your desk and look up at your computer monitor while you draw. I've used the Intuos3 for ten years which was like that. I honestly prefer those tablets. they give you plenty of space on your desk and help you sit with good posture at your desk. I'm not sure what they are called for you to google them. since they share a name with these screen tablets. but if you check out Intuos you should see what I'm talking bout.
I can totally relate... Im not sure how old you are but maybe you can wish for one for you 18th birthday? I usually don’t get very expensive presents but I managed to convince my parents to get me the Wacom Intuos pro for my 18th birthday.
I actually prefer drawing traditionally! I find it funner then drawing on Procreate, and I find it easier! If you have an Apple iPad, you could get an Apple Pencil (about 100 pounds in uk) and get ibis paint and proceate then that’s a start!
Thank you for your video. I see everyone doing speed videos of their drawings and I appreciate it that you took the time to draw and talk about it in regular mode. Each step I'm trying to learn how to draw digitally. I just subscribed. Can't wait for more.
Mischa’s Treats you should it’s rather nice 👍 Example: you need a straight line and yours is a bot only just hold and it will become perfect 👌 Example: You need to fill something quickly, use color drop Those are only 2, there are many, many, many more! I recommend! Have a great day!
ITS AMAZING! That’s all I have too say :) it’s worth the money! There’s so many tools, and it’s much cheaper then getting a full on drawing tablet. I recommend it! :D
My favorite video so far, I'd like to hear more about the process, like how the program you work in works. Also: please do more of these videos, cuz I like it! I feel like ur way more relaxed and it shows in your art😊❤️🌟
this thing is literally more expensive than my computer omg, i’d love to have one some day but for now im content drawing with a cheap stylus on my iPad, i find that i have pretty good results that way ^^’
Thank you for the actually showing how the tablet works while drawing with it, I was looking forever and alot of people just talk spec as then doodle a stick figure.
I, personally, use 'firealpaca' and it works pretty well (It's available on PC and Mac). But If i'm on the go or just drawing on my phone I use The app 'Medibang', which is also available on PC and Mac. Both are free, but work really well and come with a lot of features. Hope this helped :)
Also look at MyPaint. It is free/opensource, has a simplified toolset, offers layers and canvas rotation, and no pre-defined canvas size. You just start drawing, and the image when you save it is whatever size it occupies on the canvas. Plus it saves in Open Raster format, which can be opened in more complex programs like Krita (also free/opensource) when you're ready for something with more features .
I used to do the zoom in zoom out, and then I started opening a second window of the same piece, and it helps my workflow more. I have the Mobile Studio Pro (same size) and I love it. I love drawing right on the screen, it's so good. Occasionally I go back to my old tablet (Intuos Pro) because I do really enjoy that too. But I really love your art, and I think it'll help me improve mine and help me break out of my rut. (I struggle with flowy poses even now, and even though I love bright colors, I tend to really fear drawing with them.)
"If you're looking for like a technical review, that's gonna like talk about all the specs, you might wanna go elsewhere. Today I just wanna have fun and draw." Big mood. Lol and honestly I always watch art supply reviews for the art anyways.
haha All I want to do is draw. XP if Wacom wanted a review review they should have sent it to Linus. XP

You are honestly one of the most inspiring artists of all time ! And you are my favourite artist of all time
Almost To 1 Million Subscribers!!! So proud of you for coming this far in the first place you are such an inspiration to me, I hope everything is okay in your life and that you’re happy, if you’re not you will be, you deserve happiness❤️
Only 20 seconds in to the video and you just earned yourself a new subscriber remember me when she hits 1 mil
Her: "even though it is just a doodle."
Me: "That's a doodle??!?!?!"
Ikr ! This comment is soo underrated even though it was literally 11 hours ago
This is what I can achieve with 7 years of work.
I could so do with one of these. I find it so hard to draw on a tablet while looking at my monitor. Being able to draw directly onto the screen seems so much easier. Shame it's so expensive
As a photographer, it was so nice to hear you refer to it as an art!! Lots of people don't agree, and it's so frustrating!
I love how she explaining and drawing at the same time because I'm learning some drawing techniques visually and I hearing information at the same time
Your characters are always so cute and pretty I could date more than half of them ahahahaha
my mom made waffles today, two hours later drawingwiffwaffles uploads.. coincidence?
omg Good morning! I smell waffles. I upload. I'm simple.
DrawingWiffWaffles Woow, you responded! Good morning, I never get used to that, lol. Love ur videos ❤️❤️❤️
WiffWaffles can be summoned by making waffles. Truly a goddess.
i think not.
I THINK NOT
I was just about to go to sleep but it can wait awhile
but sleep is important!
@@drawingwiffwaffles you're important too!
DrawingWiffWaffles that is why there is waffles!
I just admire your art it’s just so detailed and amazing it just makes me feel so calm and happy I just love it so much 🤩
That is sooo true
How do you create your art without the artist glove? How do you not get marks or smudges from your wrist or forearm
Greg Putnam They usually have a setting to just turn off the touch capability of the tablet, so it just relies on the pen for input
Cintiq 16 doesn't have a Skin touch on. It only works with a pen
Dixxie what about her zooming in or out?
@@mariafausti3128 you have to do it yourself with the magnifying glass.
i’m allergic to cats if she lightly brushes is with her hand or arm it doesn't sensor it but if she presses and zooms in and out, it does sensor it.
Who needs technical reviews with a drawing tablet - it's about the feel for you as an artist indeed :)
I love this video. I'm trying to learn how to draw digitally, and I'm a visual learner. So, watching her draw showing her using her hands, and watching her draw in general is helping me understand more than I already did.
omg ur digital art is sooo cute! ❤
thanks Sophia! 💜
I'm actually early for once, wow. I love you!!!
Glad you could make it Kayla! 💜
This is awesome!! I just got my first drawing tablet (huion h420) and I’m really happy you released this so I can see what you do! Maybe in the future you could try a free drawing program, I’d love to see that! I use Krita, and I like it a lot! I wonder how different it really is from Photoshop.
I used to use krita, but now I use FireAlpaca. It's a free version of Paint tool sai.
this turned out to be one of the best digital art tutorial without me even expecting it. i finally understood what exactly i have to do for colouring.
ALMOST first! 30th to comment WOOOOOO that's way better than usual!
wow, thats awesome, thanks for stopping by the video! I'm glad 'someone' did. ;)
DrawingWiffWaffles who didn’t stop by lol
DrawingWiffWaffles oh wait I get it now haha whoops
@@drawingwiffwaffles Haha!
Yay I love it when you post! I just got an ipad pro for Christmas and have been doing digital art lately!! Thank you For this! Do you have any tips on getting better at digital art?
Omg and Ipad! that's awesome! How much do you love digital art? oh wait. i already know. hhehe you LOOOOVE IT. obviously. XP heheheh 💜
DrawingWiffWaffles I have done so much art lately on it, and have shared some of it on my channel and on my Pinterest❤️

This is the most informative and helpful video I’ve watched regarding tablet art! Really showing the ins and out, I love it!
I don’t even draw but I watch this channel religiously cuz your talent and charm is so enticing
if only i had £700 to spend on a digital art pad hahah
You could buy some of the cheaper ipads, with the pencil and other accesories the price is roughly 500 to 600 bucks
OOF JUST STOP BOTHERING MEEE
there are cheaper tablets such as the wacom intuos (still like 100 quid i think but it was my first drawing tablet and i still love it to bits) or getting a pen for an ipad (if you already have one that has pen compatability ofc).
Just like broke is a temporary state and poor is a mental state.
leah grace I only needed 87.94
The closest thing iv’e ever drawn in a gadget is....

Saaaaaammmmmmmeeeee😂😂😭😭😭😭 that's so sad but true
That’s EXACTLY how I do digital art! That’s why I’m here: to try to save up for a new tablet!
D.C. Studios I hope your able to meet your goal.
I uSE PROCREatE! With *FINGER*

She reminded me of princess Kida from Atlantis
I love falling asleep to your videos, your voice is so soothing and calm. And then I re-watch them❤️
I like that you actually record yourself using the tablet! Most reviews with screen tablets they just record the monitor. I want to see what it looks like to draw with one of these, so thank you for that. ♥
Almost to a million subs congrats 😊
YAYA new waffles vid.
.........AWESOME..........
( Q. Do you prefer scrawlerbox or palletful for us in the U.S. )
Cute glasses BTW *sees you start over*
Ohhh........she started over
Oh well the end is still great anyway
I’ve actually kinda have been considering digital art. I think this will be really helpful! ✌🏻😋
Edit: I checked the price and it’s WAY out of my price range.
I'd look into the intuos or other tablets where you draw flat on your desk. that is what I started with and they are much more budget friendly!
DrawingWiffWaffles thanks! I’ll definitely look into it😄
You should definitely try it out! It’s super fun :D
But I probably should. hehe
💜 Welcome to my channel, Raven!
DrawingWiffWaffles ty so much and I’m glad to be a waffle 😁😁
This helped me so much! I'm using Clip Studio Paint currently, and thinking about Photoshop. Do you have any tips for a newbie? P.S. I love your channel!!!
i heard that clip studio paint is much much better than photoshop so you should probably stick with that hHah
Clip Studio is many, many, many many times better than Photoshop. You're way better off with it or SAI.
I'm confused how do u get photoshop cause all the versions I get arent the one she uses
Well, what I use is tayasui sketches (lite or pro, your choice) for the outline then screen shot, bring it into ibis paint x and colour it. But make sure to change your paper type to white if you wanna do the ibis paint way. You can fill in in ts tho
I know I'm 9 months late but I use krita, it's free and looks alot like photoshop
What happened to her glasses? I thought she was going to have glasses
YOU SAVED MY LIFE WITH THE CONTRACT I WAS LOOKING FOR THAT EVERYWHERE! THANK YOU, YOU'RE MY HERO!
I really love this, I think you would be an amazing art teacher. Honestly you inspired me to draw more and to never put myself down if I mess up.
Start with a cheaper tablet. Like Wacom Intuos
Again thank you!!😄
I made DIY stylus for my phn today. One day, I will use this too :')
Hello great vid I really love all your vids they keep me making art and just keep doing this and having fun💜💜💜💜💜💜🥞🥞🥞(I know they aren’t waffles) close enough
i'm so happy you are having fun with your art! its such a great escape from other things! 💜

This was more an helpful tutorial than anything actually marked as "tutorial" from what I've seen so far. Thank you!
I personally am in LOVE with digital art. I actually made a eye yesterday! It turned out well
Hi Waffles, i want to know what is the cheapest tablet you tried out? I really want to get into digital art so please let me know.
@@drawingwiffwaffles thanks i'm going to look it up.
Im getting bored of drawing with traditional pencil and paper. I want a drawing tablet.
I can totally relate... Im not sure how old you are but maybe you can wish for one for you 18th birthday?
I usually don’t get very expensive presents but I managed to convince my parents to get me the Wacom Intuos pro for my 18th birthday.
Huion 420 is good for the price
You can get a pretty cheap pen tablet from huion for $70. Might I recomend the H950P?
Both are important! I started to do digital drawing and haven’t stopped in now I’m so rusty at traditional pen and paper.. keep practicing!
I actually prefer drawing traditionally! I find it funner then drawing on Procreate, and I find it easier! If you have an Apple iPad, you could get an Apple Pencil (about 100 pounds in uk) and get ibis paint and proceate then that’s a start!
Me: *searches it up*
Cost 155 pounds
Me:well fu** my life
Oh jeez, a lot of money :P but I thought it was 300! Well maybe I might be able to get it 😂
I don't know why but watching digital skeching is so satisfying.
Thank you for your video. I see everyone doing speed videos of their drawings and I appreciate it that you took the time to draw and talk about it in regular mode. Each step I'm trying to learn how to draw digitally. I just subscribed. Can't wait for more.
I need to get one of these, Could make my art videos much faster
Can you do a review on the app “Procreate” I have been thinking about it but idk if I should get it?
Mischa’s Treats you should it’s rather nice 👍
Example: you need a straight line and yours is a bot only just hold and it will become perfect 👌
Example: You need to fill something quickly, use color drop
Those are only 2, there are many, many, many more!

I feel like ur way more relaxed and it shows in your art😊❤️🌟

this thing is literally more expensive than my computer omg, i’d love to have one some day but for now im content drawing with a cheap stylus on my iPad, i find that i have pretty good results that way ^^’

me: sees the price *um.. nope.*
How much is that?
Get it when it's black Friday😶 maybe it will be cheaper?

Omg Waffles! You're almost at 1 million subscribers! Congrats in advance! You're amazing!!! 😃
Thank you for the actually showing how the tablet works while drawing with it, I was looking forever and alot of people just talk spec as then doodle a stick figure.
What drawing programs would you suggest of a beginner in the digital art field? Any suggestions that are free would be greatly appreciated lol!
Try Krita, it's very complet.
I, personally, use 'firealpaca' and it works pretty well (It's available on PC and Mac). But If i'm on the go or just drawing on my phone I use The app 'Medibang', which is also available on PC and Mac. Both are free, but work really well and come with a lot of features. Hope this helped :)
Medibang paint, Krita, Fire Alpaca, and Autodesk Sketchbook.
All are free programs and great starting places.
Thanks everyone! Your information is very helpful.
“Oh this looks cool.”

I got the money to buy one several months ago and I can say, without a doubt, this is my fav tablets I've ever gotten.
