You should make characters and base the searches off of that- like if someone is edgy, look up edgy outfits, or if someone is a romantic do the same. This way you might get less generic- 'white girl' stuff, since that shows up a lot with Pinterest

it will avoid little mental breakdowns like these. or just stop watching art videos for a little while. If you are confident enough try watching again! Insecurities about your own art can cause an artblock. (sorry if my grammar sucks, im not from england or something)

I’m not sure if this was your intention, but drawing what you did regardless of whether it was feminine or masculine showed in a very casual way that all people can look however they like! I really appreciate that message, even if it wasn’t really intentional

@@dundee6402 well at least the shirt and the pants were leaning towards a feminine style, such as the neckline of the t-shirt and the pants were most certainly advertised to fit a curvy shape at the high-waist.

Pinterest really does help when you're low on ideas.
But hey, since you specifically mentioned that you felt there was something off with your anatomy, I figured it would be okay for me to give you a quick tip or two from my own POV, artist-to-artist. & those are that, simply put, the heads are too big in general (yes, that's a standard in cartoon styles, but the fact remains that it's still pushing it a bit, *especially* when you combine it with the second critique, which is...), and the legs are too small/short (as in, they need to be lengthened; the thigh, for instance, should be like two head lengths, but looks much closer to one in these particular pieces, y'know? & the crus should also be lengthened, of course - perhaps even a very tiny bit moreso). I can just about guarantee that simply making the head a teenie bit smaller and lengthening the legs a bit would make a huge difference, in terms of your anatomy in future illustrations. If you even just lengthen the legs alone, it'll balance out much better, I'm sure (though of course Is suggest both changes together, but that's just my opinion). Besides that, you're golden, and the rest is up to individual style more than anything, looks like. Iunno.

I ALWAYS end up making the legs either to short or too long. It’s sooo annoying
@@drawingwiffwaffles I agree with him and would also kinda add that for the upper thighs they need to be a bit bigger it kinda looks like they have very weak legs
Galagya to add to this, the arms in these pieces seems a bit too long- they seem to come down to the knee instead of mid thigh (where arms naturally end) coupled with the too short legs, it gives a sense of very weird proportions
lifehack for if you ever do this again (which you definitely should): instead of putting 'images of' put 'aesthetic' at the end of whatever you want to find :D
It works every time and you get such good pictures more people need to know this.

A lot of names are derived from other languages. they change up the spelling to 'turn it into a name' i guess. Not sure. but I've seen english words switched up for names too. I guess its just people trying to be original..?

From my experience as a Pinterest user the captions like that almost never have anything to do with the image lol, it does look like it matched it in that case but it may just be that she got used to ignoring that text
I am definitely doing this. Seems like such a fun no pressure challenge. And it's probably the only time I would like to have an extremely strange artwork as the end result.
I think this would be fun with a random number generator giving me a different number between 1 and 15 for each item that way it's not always just the most popular top "10" search results or w/e

I love this concept! Maybe next time you could do everything (body type, face, etc) from Pinterest images. And to make it even more random, if you search for a shirt and a whole outfit appears, you could just pick the shirt and choose the rest of the outfit one by one

I drew a profile of a girl with petals & leaves coming down from her eyes to her neck... i then attempted at using oil pastels to colour it in (I was trying to practice lighting)

Absolutely LOVE this idea, a couple suggestions for if you wanted to do it again! Maybe make one character female and one male, then search “female shirt” or “male hairstyles” so you get more specified results. Another suggestion is to choose a higher number than 1 or 3 so you can scroll a bit, I think you might get more interesting results than the most common first image!! great video though
That's what i thought she was going to do, and i was hoping. The characters had a feminine and a masculine profile so idk why she didn't try a male on 3 and a female on 1?

in French "queen" is spelling "reine",raine doesn't exist ,but actually the pronunciation would be the same.oh and You were lucky with the guy, we don't see really much the hearings!

@Mya B yes, maybe because we pronounce a lot of things the same way, just as ei and ai in most cases. When you want to pick up a French name/word, you could look in the dictionary/translator to be sure of the orthography/meaning

Ok I know this is the TINIEST detail, but something bothered me and I can't help but point it out. Technically, the watch is wrong. The way the mickey ears are turning would mean that if she went to look at the watch, the ears would be turning inwards, towards her, when normally they should be turning away from the wearer. Aidjkdkd

“Faith Over Fear” is like the theme and prayer for my friends’ adoption journey. They did a T-shirt fundraiser and I have two tanks with it on them - different font and design though. Anyway, I liked your mashup of styles here, even if it was mostly out of your control!
