    my sister saw the highest gains in math scores in the state in her school by incorporating a percussion class (trash can band) to teach rhythmic reading and meter. This is the problem with research today. It is to limited as to many aspects of education. We need to know more about HOW the brain processes musical learning. Music is an aural art--this may have significant meaning.
