Its just amazing how far Jörg has brought this magazine-repeating crossbows...in just a few years he revolutionized the entire market basically on his own.
The thing is that Joerg is not the inventor of this technology. The Chinese did it, approximately one thousand years ago. Then, the Dutch imported it in Europe, and adapted on it, during the Dutch Independence War, against the Spanish, then, they adapted on it the Anthony van Leuwenhook' s innovation : the scope. Which wasn't possible on the Musket. With this technology, they targeted, first the French officers, then the Prussian ones, in 1775,during the Frederick the Great ' s invasion. Then, after two centuries, came Joerg, which perfected it, combining all the new technologies in one product.

Joerg has brilliantly designed this bow! Every update is exciting as his engineering skills continue to blossom and this creation is solid, fast, and deadly! Joerg exudes the adage of "scarcity breeds innovation"
Hi Joerg. Great video as always. One thing though, as a trained concealed weapon carrier in the US we are taught to never fire warning shots. Firstly, at least in the US, warning shots can be interpreted as not being threatened enough to use direct or deadly force which then places you in the realms of negligent discharge. Secondly and more importantly, firing a warning shot escalates the engagement without doing anything to incapacitate the attacker. You have now put the attacker in fear for their lives and while some may run, others will escalate to deadly force to respond to you. If you are threatened enough to shoot make the first shot count.
Here, it is different. The law expects you to use the least dangerous, but suitable method available to you at the time and location of the attack. This will be challenged in court in case you hurt (or kill) an attacker. Everything you can prove you tried to stop the attack without hurting the attacker helps. So he comes at you, knife in hand, you yell "stop or I will shoot". He keeps coming, you shoot an arrow in front of his feet. He still keeps coming, you shoot an arrow into his leg. He still keeps coming and you shoot him in the chest, as he is now very close. THEN you may have a chance to walk.
This crossbow that can rapid fire which makes it more awesome than a regulated crossbow is a bow 😂 Awesome product Joerg! Have you ever considered adding some electronics and solenoids to make it semi/full auto? Not sure how that should work though, but I imagine a smart designer could come up with something cool 😊 Sounds like it’s printed with PLA which gets soft at those temperatures. If you print it in ABS that should be solved (and perhaps in a light color instead of a warmth absorbing black!), or have the parts that take the most stress CNC’d and the other part printed
@@jtjames79 I was about to say that too. Carbon or glass fibre nylon seems like a good material for this, as does carbon fibre PETG to an extent. I wonder if using a material like that you could use a stronger bow on it? If PLA can handle a 50 lbs bow then what about CF or GF nylon? Maybe someone out there wants to print it out of PEEK and see how it performs. You may be cheaper getting it machined at that point though.
@@conorstewart2214 So far I tried PET-G and it didn't work with 80lbs, the main body was not strong enough. I will adjust my printing parameters once more and try to get it more stable, otherwise carbon-PET-G might be an option.
Really interesting new development. 3D Printing really delivers serious power to creators. I was wondering if it does not make sense to have a two slot magazine on that one (10 or 11 bolts)?
Move the red dot onto a non-moving part to help maintain your target picture during the reload. This will help you fire even faster and more accurately as your eye isn't requiring your target picture every shot.
I did so. I printed a short picatinny rail. Drilled holes in the main body, installed brass inserts. I screwed it on and additionally glued this rail. I had to eliminate the bevel (2 deg.), which is originally (because I couldn't properly set the red dot). I added a bevel to the other side on the new picatinny rail.

I like the updates, very cool. I bought the original files when I saw it on your channel about a year ago (its nice, but I wish it had linear rails instead of plastic on plastic, then it would be a premium machine without too much added cost). I love that this one uses the vertical grip, though I'd go with a carbon fiber telescopic stock solution so it can be fired while collapsed. The bow limb instead of slingshot rubber is a nice update, if I can take the one off the ~$20 bows those things last practically forever and plenty for plinking targets having a great time. I'm excited to see if this is the final revision or if there comes a higher capacity with maybe a dozen bolts (I bought like 80 bolts because you lose them playing, and they are so cheap if I can fire for 10-15 seconds rapid fire that would be awesome!). I'm glad you came up with the base design Joerg, its amazing how effective yet simple it is, its brilliant!

good question! i don't own a 3d printer but that would surely be something usefull to print. also i am not finding the mentioned (cross)bow on the shop of his. maybe the predecessor is there but not the model with the "finger protector". he could upload the files to his shop and would still make money on the bows and on the bolts.
Awesome. I have the original Steambow Stinger, but it’s packed away. I think it will be a collector’s item one day, as it was the first modern production repeating crossbow. But it does have limitations. It’s great to see the state of the art advancing on these. There is one weakness: the need to be sorta standing up to utilize the lever action. This also of course affects the Adder to an even greater degree. The new Bat (many names) addresses this; you can be on the ground, taking cover, while still firing arrows. And the reverse draw versions of those are very powerful. I won’t be buying because between my Stinger and Adder I have enough.
Those Arrow blades oh my God those things are deadly as hell!. Anybody that does barbering knows how deadly razor blades can be!.😮 You definitely do not want to get caught by arrows like that!.😮 what a well made bow!.👍
If you had a book with diagrams on how to understand the mechanics and physics of bows, and maybe some simple DIY examples, that sounds like something that could sell very well, and I would be interested in.
Just downloaded and asked myself which material I'm going to use. I guess this print was not with enough walls and infill, maybe not good calibrated settings. The inventor suggest cheap Amazon PLA, but he has a 4k printer that does probably a better job than cheapos with layer adhesion. I would suggest PETG for durability, but does look glossy and I will print most parts with ASA because it looks awesome and is UV-resistant. I've also a lot of ABS left, but it shrinks and stinks. Otherwise I suggest PLA+ from eSun because it's easy to print and durable. Some people are printing even firearms with it, but the critical parts are metal, obviously...
Hearing him talk about using it for home defense the only thing I could think of was a thief entering the home and hearing that amazing laugh before feeling the bite of the xbow
Interesting approach for rapid firing. I also like the redesign of the Adderini magazine part which enables you to detach the upper part. Beside from this you can "transform" pretty much any "non-crossbow" Adderini by using a similar frontgrip which is long an sturdy enough. Such fast shooting requires some serious power. Unless you use a very weak bow. :-)

Seems like the website disabled them because they "violated" the terms of service.
good question! i don't own a 3d printer but that would surely be something usefull to print. also i am not finding the mentioned (cross)bow on the shop of his. maybe the predecessor is there but not the model with the "finger protector". he could upload the files to his shop and would still make money on the bows and on the bolts.
It's good to see your back on U Tube
Are there any plans to re-upload the .stl file somewhere for this project? Amazing work.
Love this crossbow.
Will it be made commercially to buy?
Hey Jörg!
Sowas wär auch was.
Dazu noch ne Speedloader und ab geht die Luzi!
So have the 3D print files been made available anywhere else, since they were removed from the video?
That lion roar at 4:42 is amazing :D
Is there somewhere I can buy the stl files? I think it's an incredible job and I really would like to have that crossbow
Wow, that's incredible printing and design!!
Hey Joerg, we need a reupload of the crossbow somewhere, way too great to be gone forever, tons of sites besides cults3d
Is there any other way to get the STLs? It appears to have been removed by Cults
He should upload them to Odysee.
Where to download the STL? This looks fuckin RAD.
Those Arrow blades oh my God those things are deadly as hell!. Anybody that does barbering knows how deadly razor blades can be!.😮
You definitely do not want to get caught by arrows like that!.😮 what a well made bow!.👍
Please upload it somewhere else, still wanna buy that awesome design 😱🥺
That's insane, but I expect a swat team hitting my door if I used it outside in the UK
Love your eye for design detail
Can anyone provide the 3D files for printing the crossbow? Thank you. Much appreciated
If you had a book with diagrams on how to understand the mechanics and physics of bows, and maybe some simple DIY examples, that sounds like something that could sell very well, and I would be interested in.
hiya guys, did anybody save the stl or know how to get hold of the designer, as i can pay for files? cheers gang
Now that’s badass. It’s fast and compact.
Super hyped for the stl files. I hope the final version will be with better materials. If so, it'll be my first 3D print ever!
But its up to you what material you use, no?
@@StarfistShen yes
Is there any way to access the stl files now that that website disabled the account? I'd be interested.
I hope so

Interesting approach for rapid firing. I also like the redesign of the Adderini magazine part which enables you to detach the upper part. Beside from this you can "transform" pretty much any "non-crossbow" Adderini by using a similar frontgrip which is long an sturdy enough. Such fast shooting requires some serious power. Unless you use a very weak bow. :-)
Where can I buy the 3d blueprint, it seems the link is gone now, the reloading is beautiful, it's like Winchester
Duuuuuude, TBA sagt mir nix :D wo bekomme ich das STL her :D ??? I NEEEEED IT
To be added.
buddy i couldn't find that handgrip 3d file, can you please help with that
did anyone manage to get the files before they took it down? if anyone has them i'll be more than willing to help upload it to the sea
Can't wait until the files are available. Awesome piece.
If we had 3D printers in the Middle-ages, history would be WAY different.
Most dumb commentary ive read today
They did build eentire cathedrals back in the day you know...
There's still time for these to be used
@@Mr371312 But very very slowly. ;-) Not that 3D printers are that fast either. How long would it take to 3D print the Great Pyramid of Giza?
@@Mr371312 Yes, but, it took half a century to complete one.
This thing is like is, I would say, more dangerous than firearms. Firearms are loud and seriously regulated.
This will kill you at a fair range and is silent. The ammo is inexpensive and unregulated.
This is the coolest thing ever. Don't get it twisted that I'm saying it shouldn't exist. I love that it exists.
I wouldn't be suprised to see Joerg be like: Hello, welcome to the slingshot channel! Today we have a special surprise! *_Proceeds to pullout an automatic magnetic rail operated crossbow_*
Good show Joerg. ❤all the details very entertaining.
A new toy, for you to play with. Always enjoy your videos informative an fun.
