Am gold 3 and I can almost speed flip the problem is that sometimes I backflip and allot to times I don’t hit center of the ball or I go under the ball instead making the ball going over me making me lose the kickoff rn I been losing so much I been derankings allot so ama just stick to my normal diagonal kickoff and when am like plat 2 or diamond ama do it again or ama just spend hours in free play practicing which one should I choose try speed flip only in training for practice or completely stay away from it until I hit plat 2 or just keep trying it even tho ama lose allot of kickoffs trying it.
What I recently learnt about the forward flip is to keep holding forwards until you land and that way the car will meet the ground properly instead of hitting the ball still in the air

After watching this video and trying out new kickoffs in free play i jumped into a 1s game and won 80% of my kickoffs before he rage quit after I was beating him 4-1. Thanks for this.
if you guys didnt know, (on pc) if you hold w or your forward move button and air roll button that u have to have binded( just the button not with shift/ctrl) you can diagonal flip, and that is HUGE for the speed flip. AND THERES BARELY ANY PPL THAT KNOW THAT

Hello sir, I was wondering what the proper etiquette was for what each player’s responsibility is in each position with all the different starting formations. Some formations are more obvious who’s supposed to do what. Sometimes the goalie position decides to go grab a boost, is that proper? Stuff like that, no worries if you don’t see this 👍🤝
Emphasis on ALWAYS left goes unless you can speed flip and they can't. Also if you're in comms you may want to switch it to right goes for a kickoff to throw off opponents if you notice they aren't good at adapting to changes.
Only do that if you're confident in your own kickoff though otherwise you may risk losing the kickoff. Although sometimes losing the kickoff is beneficial if you can purposefully aim the 50/50 towards a teammate that is cheating/at full boost
If u air roll and do a normal front flip it makes a perfect diagonal flip with no errors and it easyier with practice and i do this 2 and it is so much better

God this hurts me so much. I don't have anyone to talk to. I need a physical coach to help me see what's wrong. Ive tried for 2 hours straight and I can't get the super sonic to trigger and rarely do I actually hit the ball. Idk what I'm doing wrong.
I am champ 3 and I still just front flip to the ball haha. I never found a good tutorial for the diagonal flip so I just ignored it. I can speed flip most of the time but not enough to risk it outside of my 1s matches. I will try this out.
Super helpful video. I almost always used delayed kickoffs because I’m diamond they just work 🤷🏻♂️ they are the lowest risk because I can easily see a speed flip across the map and adjust my timing accordingly. I’ll take a smart kickoff over a fast one any day.
When Im boosting someone or smurfing in 1v1s below champ all my goals are just speed flipping then getting it around him without flipping and he will just go flying by

I hate kick offs. They are the reason why I a, still down in p2. In one game I was leadin 3-0, then I conceded 4 kick off goals, then 1 real goal actually, then I made 3 goals again and then he scored 2 kick off goals again. In that game I also scored 1 but only because enemy messed up
if you are playing 2's and you're both diagonal only 1 goes right, this counts for every rank I know i'm probably sounding stupid but i'm having a debat about this with my friend and when i bring up the argument that all good players do it he says but we're a lower rank so that's different i'm plat btw
Rocket league is probably the 3rd most toxic community I've dealt with. 2 is CoD and 1 is DBDL. Amazing how bad that community is and how much the devs cater to it there.

With left goes on kickoffs, I know that left goes is correct but the person I usually play with thinks that right goes is what all the pros do and he won’t listen to me, also he hates it when I say that my kickoffs are better than his (which they are, he still does the drive into the ball and flip) so we end up always having to do right goes

people make kickoffs seem like its hard but I say it the easiest thing in rocket league, how? simple "just boost and turn according the other players name tag if his name tag goes to the left you go to the right if he goes to the right you go to the left and you'll easily hit the ball to there half. Even Tho I can speed flip I don't need to.

So,e times the goalie will chest up with you or go for boost, neither is or correct, just be prepared to save a kickoff goal if things go wrong
