I'm a champ 2 and I accidentally backflip more often than I score goals. I scored a flip reset double tap once... it was a complete accident, I flipped the wrong direction.
I've once accidentally reset, backflip, boost and I accidentally hit the ball a second time after it hit the wall, it was nice but so much useless xd D2 btw, because it seems that rank is important :)
The best thing I scored in an actual ranked game is a flip reset musty and I'm champ but since then I haven't played much, I can still do them in freeplay but not every time.
I hover between D1 and D2 it drives me insane that only a small amount of players think to rotate back post.. When I was a Plat I used to think Diamonds knew what they were doing 🤣

I actually knew the speed flip when I was gold wasn’t very consistent with it at all but got it down in p2 but the only proof I have is a replay of me in silver and I always did a diagonal flip on kick off like most people do when they try to learn the speed flip but that was a little after the speed flip was found but I’m c2 now

Free training is good, lot of low rank can do stuff with infinite boost, perfect pre-made setup and no pressure. But of you are not able to apply that mechanic you're training for in game is pretty useless.

As a diamond 1, I can hit a demo around 50% of the time, but it goes up to about 90% if they say "Wow!" "Okay." or "Nice one!" after i hit the original demo

I'm a plat 1 and I can hit the ball before the AI players when they're on rookie mode. Not to flex, but I can also do a backflip into the ball when it is motionless. Maybe someday you guys can be as good as me and hit plat too.

@@tucq9599 An easy way to put it that’s not in any tutorial video i’ve seen. I play on ps4 so buttons may vary. Hold boost, hit x or jump and flip your left stick to the top left at the same time and hit jump again and flick your left stick to the opposite side (bottom right) at the same time. all that within two seconds and it’s a speed flip 😌
As a high ranked player, I recommend everyone to learn air roll, before learning these difficult mechanics. It's so funny seeing people attempt resets without having any car control.
As a low rank player who loves grinding out air roll mechanics, i agree air roll is way more important than this stuff, but my ground car control suffers so badly from my lack of ground play and im gold 3 in 1v1 while diamond 1 in 2s and 3s. If youre under champ 1, just learn patience, ground play, and backboard clears. I wish i learned how to play slowly and on the ground before i learned how to play fast and in the air

I'm Champ in most playlists, and I can't do any advanced mechanics consistently. @Thomas Being older has nothing to do with bragging about being a plat that can flip reset. The ranked system is designed such that it doesn't matter how much free time you have, you'll rank up (or down) regardless if you aren't where you belong.

This is the comment I was looking for. If people are genuinely only playing the game to show off their mechanical skills then they shouldn’t be upset when they lose. And they shouldn’t be upset if their teammates make mistakes… how do you know your teammate wasn’t trying to do something mechanical outside their comfort zone and just made a mistake? Furthermore, why not just join a private match where everyone else wants to do the same thing? There is literally no point to competing for points if all you care about is mechanics.
I'm a Diamond and I can make at least a reset, a musty, a ceiling, a pogo (not perfectly). The only bad thing is that most of the rivals I've played we're Champs, GC or even SSL (yeah, probably most of them were smurfs)

@@mormonman866 if a person can score a flip reset casually in a lobby he's probably from a higher rank and might seem like ego chasing but there's a lot of times when highe ranked players who play in lower lobbies are just a lot faster and considered that if you were there you would've went. (don't know if i make sense)

I'm plat and I am extremely confident that I can fail every one of these maneuvers. I'm totally willing to show off my inability to do speed flips, reasonable air dribbles, flip resets, breezis, pogos, or pinches. I can consistently do a basic aerial that is generally on targetish with low momentum.
Ok, I know no one believes me, but on keyboard, I can do a speed flip sort of in gold 3. I sometimes do it in games, but I don't do it on kickoffs. And after I do a speed flip, I usually land terribly.
I'm unranked but I can triple reset, double double reset, air dribble, flip reset musty backboard, fly, shoot lasers, move at the speed of sound, eat more than 2x my own weight, generate flowers out of my bare hands, go into space without space gear and not die, eat the sun, avoid people, and occasionally take over a galaxy or 2. *Also pretty good at dimensional time travel*
I'm c3 and I can consistently fail at doing flip resets..., air dribbles, musty's and almost any other mechanical shot in the game, really shows how important game sense and simple mechanics are.
@@christiantaylor1495 because those fun things are not really fun to learn. When Thanovic uploads a video to show a mechanic that he spent 100 hours on, it's not really a ringing endorsement for fun. Also it's a much steeper learning curve if you're a gold and jump straight into air dribbles than being champ with a good ground game. You simply know the car better.

I'm a plat 1 and I can hit the ball before the AI players when they're on rookie mode. Not to flex, but I can also do a backflip into the ball when it is motionless. Maybe someday you guys can be as good as me and hit plat too.

@@tucq9599 An easy way to put it that’s not in any tutorial video i’ve seen. I play on ps4 so buttons may vary. Hold boost, hit x or jump and flip your left stick to the top left at the same time and hit jump again and flick your left stick to the opposite side (bottom right) at the same time. all that within two seconds and it’s a speed flip 😌

As a high ranked player, I recommend everyone to learn air roll, before learning these difficult mechanics. It's so funny seeing people attempt resets without having any car control.
As a low rank player who loves grinding out air roll mechanics, i agree air roll is way more important than this stuff, but my ground car control suffers so badly from my lack of ground play and im gold 3 in 1v1 while diamond 1 in 2s and 3s. If youre under champ 1, just learn patience, ground play, and backboard clears. I wish i learned how to play slowly and on the ground before i learned how to play fast and in the air

@Thomas Being older has nothing to do with bragging about being a plat that can flip reset. The ranked system is designed such that it doesn't matter how much free time you have, you'll rank up (or down) regardless if you aren't where you belong.

This is the comment I was looking for. If people are genuinely only playing the game to show off their mechanical skills then they shouldn’t be upset when they lose. And they shouldn’t be upset if their teammates make mistakes… how do you know your teammate wasn’t trying to do something mechanical outside their comfort zone and just made a mistake? Furthermore, why not just join a private match where everyone else wants to do the same thing?

I'm a Diamond and I can make at least a reset, a musty, a ceiling, a pogo (not perfectly). The only bad thing is that most of the rivals I've played we're Champs, GC or even SSL (yeah, probably most of them were smurfs)

yea it's not really a matter of being a better player because you can do cool mechanics, but it just makes you're playstyle so much more impressive and fancier, and it's a pretty big flex
the only time i wish i could do those mechanics is when i come across someone on my team that can, and then they proceed to ego chase
@@mormonman866 if a person can score a flip reset casually in a lobby he's probably from a higher rank and might seem like ego chasing but there's a lot of times when highe ranked players who play in lower lobbies are just a lot faster and considered that if you were there you would've went. (don't know if i make sense)

Ok, I know no one believes me, but on keyboard, I can do a speed flip sort of in gold 3. I sometimes do it in games, but I don't do it on kickoffs. And after I do a speed flip, I usually land terribly.
I'm unranked but I can triple reset, double double reset, air dribble, flip reset musty backboard, fly, shoot lasers, move at the speed of sound, eat more than 2x my own weight, generate flowers out of my bare hands, go into space without space gear and not die, eat the sun, avoid people, and occasionally take over a galaxy or 2.

Also it's a much steeper learning curve if you're a gold and jump straight into air dribbles than being champ with a good ground game. You simply know the car better.
