Oooh Man, I remembered this pizza my whole life growing up. My mother use to make it what seemed like “once a year”. She use to make a stuffed potatoe pizza that was a knife and fork job . Wish I had the recipe! Thank you guys for the memories, It Great being Italian isn’t it?
I followed the recipe exactly and omg it was out of this world ! Just be sure too make enough because it will go fast . Can’t wait to make it again . Another great recipe !
That sauce looked amazing, loved the tip for helping not cry when chopping onions, we have been learning several tips for that lately. That crust came out wonderful looking with a nice crunch sound. Wonderful pizza God bless.
Hello Brooklyn I haven’t you see cried today 😊😊 Great idea to place the onions 🧅 in the fridge. Bread crumbs and onions, I never heard about that pizza 👍👍👍 Enjoy your day
Keep adding your recipes to the things I have never tried list. I love onions. Looks like a good recipe for the fall, maybe watching some Sunday football. I have to get myself over the no cheese part 🙂
I can imagine how good it smells in your kitchen with the making Cast iron Sfincione Pizza .Crust is crunchy and the pizza looks dope delicious. Thumbs up! 45
2 QUESTIONS PLEASE 1...IF i wanted to make the sfincioni in a 12x16 lloyds pan what size dough would I use? 2...was the sauce warm or room temp when you put it on... Thank you Michael
I told my boss how much I love anchovies. He said years ago he gave his cat an anchovy. The cat hit it with his paw and eventually buried it under the kitchen rug. I guess it wasn't a fan.
Hey no cheese! I'm thinking these guys gotta be kidding...by 8 minutes in the video it's cheese what cheese? we don't need it. I was good for making it today but no anchovies home. Won't make it without, gotta have the authentic brothers pizza need the anchovies. 🍕👍 Thanks guys.
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Thanks guys, every video brings me back to memories of family gone by. Especially my grandmother that did it all and it wasn't until I started to learn to make my own dough and pasta myself did I realize the amount of work she did to make us all fed and happy. She had to have " home mades" ( pasta) every Sunday into her 80's. Sorry I'm getting long winded here but pretty soon it will be time to fry egg dipped squash blossoms another favorite of ours.
Looks great! I worked at a pizza place in Philly that made their tomato pie just like this with the onions and all. They made the sauce for it every day. it was so good!
Mama did a great job raising those brothers. You can see the love they have for her.
Awesome recipe, yummy, thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
Yes, you will absolutely love this one! Have a great evening!

Yes, it is! We know good food!
We always pronounced it like, "sven-jooney"....rather than sfin-chioni in my family. Best "pizza" ever.
This is a new one for me, but will definitely give it a try!
Very old school Italian, great job Brooklyn Bro's! 👍
Thanks Salvatrice!
Thank you
Mamma did an awesome job with the onions. Incorporate her into more of your videos. She reminds me of my Madre. Gotta love Italian Mamma!!!!!
Thanks Mike! Will do!

Thank you! Refrigerating really helps. Especially, when you have a lot of onions!
Great video. Great Pizza. Great family...
Hi Michael! Thanks so much! Hope all is well!
Pizza looks absolutely delicious.
Could you please tell me the size of the cast iron?
Thank you
Michael
Thanks! It’s a 13.25 in skillet
I love everything about that. Would that be considered Bagharia syle
That’s a good question. I’ll have to look that one up.

@@BrooklynBrothersCooking thank you so much 😊
Are you ready for the next match against CCW FRANCE 🇫🇷😊😊???
Never seen such a pizza, but looks incredible! Must try
Hi John! Yes, you definitely need to try this one. It’s a keeper! Have a good evening!
You probably can eat this at room temperature since it’s like a bread. Pack it in your lunch bag when you go out for the day.

I know right! I love cheese on the pizza, but this is definitely a great recipe.

12 oz dough. Room temperature on the onion sauce
Would this work with a carbon steel skillet? Also how big is your cast iron measuring the bottom?
Not sure if carbon steel would work. We’ve never used it before. The pan measures 12 inches on the bottom.
I told my boss how much I love anchovies. He said years ago he gave his cat an anchovy. The cat hit it with his paw and eventually buried it under the kitchen rug. I guess it wasn't a fan.
Lmao!

Philly tomato pie is interesting and a nice snack. Extremely rare in Philly though
Ok I’m making this soon! Hubby is now vegan so this is perfect , may have to hide the anchovies 😬
