  • Brooklyn Brothers show you how to make amazing homemade Lasagna. This beef lasagna recipe comes from our father who was and excellent Italian chef. This homemade lasagna was a huge seller at the family’s Italian restaurant and has been a customer favorite for decades. We only use high quality ingredients, such as whole-milk ricotta, mozzarella, Imported tomatoes, and fresh ground chuck. These high-quality products are very important when making this fabulous homemade Lasagna.
If you are like Chef Dom and I, you can eat lasagna just about every day! A hot and cheesy lasagna dish is an ideal go-to meal for family gatherings and celebrations. When topped with grated fresh parmesan cheese and a nice glass of wine, a beef lasagna dish on a Sunday is elevated to a gourmet meal fit for a king and queen.

Lasagna is a fun dish. It’s kind of like a cake version of pasta. You slice it like cake .It has that celebration feel and many people like it.

I'm so glad you guys use barilla instead of Dececco Total difference in quality. Sometimes when I make Lasagna, I do the clemenza sauce from the godfafter. After cooking the clamenza sauce, I chop up the meatballs and Italian sausage. I put A little bit of basil and Oregano. I also mix the Ricotta cheese Shredded Mozzarella with fresh Burata cheese.

What is “Italian sausage”? There is no such thing as Italian sausages. Italy has many varieties of sausages (or “salsiccia” in Italian). Saying “Italian sausage” is like saying “American cars.” What kind of Italian sausage are you talking about?

I just saw on the bottom then noodles, then meat and cheese then more sauce then I do the noodles in the opposite direction meat cheese sauce, noodles again in the original direction and continue until I'm all done. I think it makes the lasagna sturdier I end with noodles on top covered in sauce and then put Parmesan cheese on top of that.

@@BrooklynBrothersCooking yes it had me stumped! I am not familiar with using all these herbs, etc and didnt know if the leaves would simply melt down or someone would get a big leafy bite! haha! Thanks for your reply!

Eggs are a binder to keep the ricotta from breaking up. Some cheap Diners are using cottage cheese, which I think is nasty in lasagna, so is cheddar cheese on top. Yuck!

Can you prep this lasagna the day before your party and put it in the fridge? Then only bake it the day of?

Absolutely, but remove the lasagna from the refrigerator one hour before you’re ready to cook it.

Any frozen sheets work well. We also use the dry ones, but boil have the cook time.
