A poor and easy dish, but with supreme delicacy, based on pasta, eggs, cheese, pepper and tomato sauce, which was born in Naples as a recipe to reuse leftover pasta.

You got to be kidding me? This is as old school as it gets. Rarely find this my Grandmother used to make it wish I had her recipe. All the cooking I do never made this. Guys thanks for this redicoulous looking recipe 🤝 IT'S MINT 👌
Thank you so much
Anyone who is Italian knows that this is the go to for leftover spaghetti. We never let anything go to waste and it’s always amazing! Thank you for always bringing back the old school Italian recipes
Thank you
oh dear lord i must have spent at least 600 dollars going to the store watching your videos money well spent thank you brings back my childhood. happy to find you guys.
cheers! To the simple pleasures of life!
In our family we used to make "Spaghetti Pie" on the Saturday night before Easter Sunday. No sauce just linguine, rice, eggs, Crisco, pepper & salt. Not too many Italians that I've asked did this. Then when I got married my wife's Mom made the same thing but added a pie crust top & bottom. Yours looks delicious too. Its a shame the old Italian traditions are slowly disappearing. MI sta venendo fame! Dio benedica.
Thank you guys for finishing the story. I figured as much but it made me smile. I had to do the same years ago of course I will not post the details on record lol
Our pleasure! It took some getting used to, but we survived. Thanks for watching Rich!
Hey guys! My mom was from Naples and she didn't make it exactly like that. She used a lil egg a Lil parmesan cheese S/P and mixed it then fried it nice and crunchy on the outside. It was so delicious just like that no sauce and mozz. I ate so many of them suckers a night. Tell you what, Italians can turn anything into a meal. You guys rock! 💪
Yes, my mom makes it like your mom. We will be cooking that version next year.
Love the stories and the food.
Thank you so much
Holy Crap! I wish I was at that table eating that. Also, I heard at least 8 “beautifuls”. I think you should just say it every time you do something! This looks so amazing and thank you so much for doing what you do. Don’t stop, ever, please! Love you guys.
Thanks Chris! Beautiful!
I have heard stories about this dish and I have been looking for a recipe.
I am so grateful I found your channel and looking forward to making this whenever I have leftover pasta. Thank you
You’re welcome! Enjoy!
Dominic's "Yum Yum"is my favorite thing ever 🙏 much love fellas from the Jersey Shore.
Thank you!
I love your stories and your food.. Similar story with my Dad, the mob wanted him to work for them ( he was a big tall man ) and he said NO and he caught a beating from them and soon thereafter left NYC to move to the suburbs of the Bronx 😂
Being tired and growing up in Brooklyn, I’m sure we all have a story.
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Permission to tell a story? No names nothing specific but interesting history about my Grandfather coming from Sicily..
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Very true, everyone has a similar story growing up in NYC.
OMG every holiday at my Aunt Jean's house!
Love the stories and the recipes. You all keep bringing out dishes I have never had. Hope all is well.
Thanks Rob! All is well! Hope all is well on your end

Hi Papa P,
Please thank your lovely wife for adding her many contributions to your channel. The sausage looks so good.
Thank you, I will
Watching from Pennsylvania. Looked up the sausage you showed and realized the store is in Oklahoma. Love the banter, stories and recipes. It all equals good, old fashioned comfort to me. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Great story guys but of all the places for an Italian to end up no one would have thought to look in Texas, how did you all learn to cook or was it just watching your mom and your grandmother cook just followed their example? Whatever it was you did well , keep up the videos as a Brooklyn Italian your recipes are memories from my childhood!
Thanks
I know, Texas of all places. We learned from our grandmother and mother and our father who taught us the restaurant recipes.
Super idea and it looks great! We cannot wait to try it we'll let you know! We know it will be fantastic THANK YOU BOTH GREAT JOB!
Our pleasure!
I make this, but, I don't put sauce, I only use the egg and cheese mixture with A LOT of black pepper. I also fry it in the pan, turning it over several times, it's delicious
Yes, we have a recipe like that as well. That’s how our grandmother used to make it.
Poached Eggs with Tomato Sauce sounds pretty good too.
It does!
After the last spaghetti feast Saturday, this might be dinner tonight, maybe tomorrow!
Enjoy!
I love your recipes & fun play between brothers. My question is how do you keep your stovetop so clean after frying meat, splattering oil & fat all over the stovetop? I have a similar oven & stovetop, but have a hard time keeping it sparkling clean like yours using soap, water & a sponge. What's your secret. Mom?? Ha-ha.
Thanks Joe! I use Stove top cleaner and a razor. The stove top cleaner has an abrasive liquid. Mom supervises lol!
OMG! That looks delicious!
As always looks delicious, can't wait to try it. I think this would be great for breakfast just with a cheese sauce and a steak cut on the bias for presentation. As Always all my best.
I like the story... Dinner show and story ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Tracey! ❤️
Another winner!! You guys just make me happy!

Do you guys plan on doing a Q&A? .
Haven’t gave it a thought. How would it work?
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking a lot of channels do a Q&A when they hit a milestone say 10k subs 100k subs ect. Darren McGrady does them when he gets a subscriber milestone. I've always found them to be fun.
I love MAMA 😂

Montana chapter here... Is this a truly authentic old world recipe or is this an American creation do you guys know?
Hi Jeff! There at many variations of this recipe. It originated in Naples
It's old world, my mom was from Naples and she made a similar version and it was just as tasty without all the sauce and mozz.
Love this recipe. How does that sausage compare to Jimmy's?
It’s up there with Jimmy’s. They use good quality pork for the sausage as well. It has a totally different taste but really good.
Jimmy's sausage is much better
Xmas I serve hot sausage and sweet which are made by deli near me and I do meat balls …do ziti cannot believe have 2 sons don’t eat long pasta and am Italian my dad born Naples
That’s crazy! Our folks are from not believe also.
Hi Papa P,
Sign of the times....
Cento can't be found in HEB or Walmart. I ordered through Amazon. Tomato can goods are being affected by this rotten economy.
Just an FYI!
Thanks for sharing! I sometimes buy the tomatoes online.
