Update - i have more aligners assigned to me, speak to your orthodontist and communicate with them that you are not happy. Cant wait for the further treatment. Will probably consist of lots of IPR
I was told about 10 years ago that I would need 1 or 2 extractions to fix my top overjet. I really didn’t like the idea of extraction however. It seems that this newer treatment is to remove some of the surface of each tooth. I’m wondering if I should go back for a consult?
You should. I was told I'd need to have some teeth removed as well, yet when I got Invisalign they didn't have to remove any teeth. I'm only on tray 5 though, so results still pending.
It depends on how flared your teeth are and how much you want to bring them back. For maximum retraction extractions are needed. If you just want to upright your teeth a bit then IPR may be a good choice

Doc some help here please cause I'm suffering, my upper jaw has moved slightly forward and I need it desperately to move back 0,5mm-1mm. I am 31 is it impossible to move the upper jaw backwards with rubber bands and aligners?
I have a 9mm overbite at age 24 . How effective do you think Invisalign could be for me
Invisalign can work in most cases. Definitely ask your orthodontist and see if it will work for you
Great results!
Hi I got invisible my dentist said I have a class 2 deep bite with a slight over bite. He told me that my bottom teeth will get push down so that my bite wouldn’t be that deep anymore. But he’s not fixing my slight overbite. He said that my teeth are turn outwards so correcting that would help the overbite. But would that fix it or should I let him know I want rubber bands to help my slight overbite?
Can a overbite still be corrected like this when you are an adult or do you need a jaw correction?
Im getting my trays next month. I have an extreme overbite. Im getting teeth removed this week to improve my overbite reduction .
The dentist told me that my overbite teeth were like 6 mm, I'm curious to know what is the maximum I can get to get my teeth straighten by wearing invisalign?
Dok... do you eat something while you talking?
Attachments tooth only move ??? Or other than attachments tooth also have movement? ?
Thank you for sharing
Hello.doc i have also same situation in the photos should i need to wear braces?? Thank you godbless
Follow Braces Explained (Dr Greg) 😊 and it def sounds like you are a suitable patient for braces. Go get a consultation with an Orthodontist in your area. Good luck 👍🏻
As you saw in the video, Invisalign can be very effective in fixing overbites -- but braces also work. Getting a consultation with an orthodontist would be a great next step 👍
How it changes the face??? Will i look different then how?
I recently had my braces,I have frontal upper crooked teeth & my orthopaedic didn't finish my braces upto my wisdom teeth (have already erupted)is this normal 😢plz help
Great video. Is it possible to do more than 1mm filing on the teeth (specifically the teeth behind the canine teeth)?
I've got a 9mm overbite
I mewed for two weeks and bc I put my tongue a little too close to my front teeth (not touching), I caused a bit of an overbite. My pallet feels wider and uncomfortable now. I’m hoping Invisalign can fix this
I am 27 and i am having overbite .
Is it necessary to extract the teeth ?
Can u please suggest me which method would fit me
Every treatment is a little different depending on the severity of the overbite. If you are located in Arizona and would like to schedule an appointment to get a quote for you specific braces treatment you can go to yourazbraces.com/
Hope this helps!
How much did this total treatment cost?
How did you make space in-between the front teeth?
Just got my braces off but my teeth are protruding and i absolutely hate how it looks. Trying to see if theres a way to fix it
Hey doc i have a slight bimax protrusion
I went to an ortho he suggesested damon braces and then extractions and TADS
I went to another he suggested me invisalign he says extraction wud create too much gap and retro occlusion will happen
So he said invisalign wud make teeth more mobile and create more space as much required and pull the teeth in?
Which one i should go with?
14 months as in aligners +retainers?
What would you do if someone had a severely narrow overbite
Would this for for overjet as well? I had braces as a teen… I am 31 now and my top teeth have shifted forward and I am afraid they will get worse. Starting to get self conscious about it
Same. I’m 39 and I didn’t wear my retainer. My teeth shifted back into their original misbehaving stance 😂. Getting Invisalign finally.
Does creating spaces artificially by grinding teeth create issue of sensitivity?
If this IPR can be the option for overbite correction then why many orthodontist advise for extraction of 4 teeth
My some teeth connected and cleavage but overbite same as picture shown here.it is possible throw IPR. Shall I go for Invisalign treatment
I have the same case of overbite, how many months it took to fixed that just a guess
My case is similar to this woman and i don't know how to straighten my own teeth ,pls what do i do
I’m 29 I got a small gap in my front teeth I’m hesitant to do this how long would it take for that?!
i don’t have as much of an overbite as her, my canines stick out a little and my bottom two teeth lean in. i really hope i can get invisalign :-)
I want to push my teeth back further, I am currently going through Invisalign, However i have a full set of teeth ( thankfully) bottom and top but i still want it pushed back more, my teeth have a slight flare to them, how can this be corrected?
Hi I want to correct my overbite but I have straight teeth with no gaps or spaces, is it possible to do without messing up my teetg
After the treatment how many mm were front teeth ahead of lower teeth ?
Hi i have a mild bamaxillary protrusion do you think my teeth should be extracted or it can work by IPR??
It depends on how flared your teeth are and how much you want to bring them back.
For maximum retraction extractions are needed. If you just want to upright your teeth a bit then IPR may be a good choice
I hv an overbite but there is no space btw my upper teeth.. N i had put braces during my childhood n my 4 teeth were already extracted before.. I did a big mistake tht after removing my braces i dint wear my retainers.. Now whn i went to ask abt my Invisalign my dentist said tht it wont help me much to correct my overbite as my skull bone is out.. Cn u plz help me???
I never had braces, but I also have an overbite where all of my teeth fit together. If I align my front teeth there are gaps between my molars.
I guess first step would be go to a dentist for an opinion
I grind my teeth can I get crowns done and then invisalign? Or do I have to get invislaign first?
Most of the time it is recommended you receive Invisalign first to properly align the teeth prior to crowns.
There may be times that getting a crown first is necessary. Check with orthodontist for more specific recommendations for your teeth 👍
How long would I need to wear braces for a 100% overbite
She has some beautiful teeth.
Can treatment go beyond 14 months?
How many months this lady teeth takes to adjust
Because I have same overbite condition???????
Her treatment took about 16 months.
Can u get Invisalign with a root canal
I have an overbite of 0.5 cm. I am 16 . What should I go for Invisalign or braces?
Best advice would be to go chat with your local orthodontist to see what they recommend!
I have slightly overbite. does it requires tooth extraction ?? Are invisiliners helpful for me.?

Is Invisalign treatment possible for patients where removal of teeth is required in order to correct overbite?
Yes! In many patients Invisalign is a a good option even when extractions are needed. There are times that braces might work best but for many both braces and Invisalign should work great 👍
I think these orthos are ipr obsessed and most times it’s unnecessary especially if you already had teeth removed for braces.
Can you do invisilign without doing striping?
