The animation for the DLC boss fights are absolutely incredible. I couldn’t stop being mesmerized by it! These artists and animators did such and amazing job!
one thing i absolutely love that i don’t think anyones noticed is that once the snail is defeated after the fake knockout, the real announcer comes in and clears his throat before saying the real knockout i thought that was really cool, just another example of how awesome studio MDHR is with this game

its not inked, the creators already said that they used photoshop to color than ink because there was no perceptivel difference. but yes its all hand-drawn, but not inked.
I think it's mainly smoother animation with more frames and more attention to getting each frame perfect. That's probably why this dlc is so late. I'm glad the studio prioritized quality and the needs of the employees over keeping to their deadlines

They watched a lot of 30s cartoons when they were kids - many of the characters are inspired by cartoon characters of that era (while others were inspired by 80s-90s video games - I think that's the era there.)
I don’t know why but for almost every boss that most struggle a lot with I get through with ease, but when I fight a boss that’s normally easy it can take me forever to beat.
SAME! The ones that I struggled with the most was Cala Maria and Wally Warbles. I have S-Ranked them all but those were my nemesis’s. I’ve S-Ranked the DLC bosses too now but nothing compares to those
The main reason I’m able to survive the bosses are because I’m great at dodging complex attacks, I’m horrible at multitasking and dealing damage especially with weapons like the charge shot

That’s how it went for me with the final fight of the DLC. Most of the deaths I’ve had were me being too hypnotized by the amazing animation to properly focus on the fight itself lmao
Looking at all these bosses I'm constantly amazed by the humongous amounts of blink and you miss it details. The producers literally put effort into every frame of animation.

I've been hearing mixed reviews about the angel and devil boss, a lot of people think the fight was kinda lackluster. I really liked the concept and fight, myself.
I love this Game. I know it's hard but it's so cool that they draw everything in this game! Also it's super creative... Maybe it's sometimes to creative... When think about all the bosses turning into some beast thing which doesn't even make any sense. If I drew the game you would only see a non-animated stickman running around throwing up blue lasers and let the enemy's just disappear. Well, I even don't know how to Programm that.
The dlc is honestly so much smoother. Two the mortimer freeze and even the howling aces have more smooth animation compare to the base game. Would like to see the base game have smoother animation but I doubt it since it’s mostly hand drawn. Maybe cuphead 2? Would be nice

I slowed it down, it was frame perfect when he shrunk down, the animation showed the tic of damage, but he had a frame of invincibility i think when he shunk. so it showed as damg but he never took it

Beppi The Clown is only really difficult cause his third phase can result in near unavoidable damage if you get unlucky. The first, second, and final phase are all pretty easy and manageable. The Moonshine Mob's all three phases are pretty tough, and same thing can be said for Mortimer and Esther.
Considering there is a charm you can get at the start of the DLC that requires you to beat all the new bosses without getting hit AND having the weapons randomized to unleash it's true power, it's pretty understandable that the new bosses wouldn't be as hard as the originals! They're still Cuphead level bosses though!

I see you got three of the four alternate paths on certain bosses. you missed the alternate path on The Howling Aces. during the second phase when the Cadet Pups show up, damage their jetpacks till they turn gray but don't finish them off. Once all four are gray it jumps to the final phase with Saluki and her plane jumping in, good news is you don't have to worry about the screen rotating, bad news is the Cadet Pups jump into the final phase alongside Saluki

Very nice speedrun,I wish I could do this but I’m just one boss away from fighting chef saltbreaker and I can’t get past the stupid horse boss in the kings gauntlet,other than that I’ve completed the whole game on normal
Some bosses are creepy in own way, and so much that they would give players nightmares. Lol. Anyway, I think every boss except for the Chess bosses are possessed by the Devil because of the yellow eyes and the fact that all of the Devil’s lieutenants except for King Dice, his casino lackeys, and those two guys in the secret boss fight in the Delicious Last Course are actually good people, like the Chess people. The Devil must have made deals with them. The Delicious Last Course bosses are probably the Devil’s backup lieutenants. The Chess people are not really evil. They just wanted to play with the Cup team. That’s my theory.

Very nice speedrun,I wish I could do this but I’m just one boss away from fighting chef saltbreaker and I can’t get past the stupid horse boss in the kings gauntlet,other than that I’ve completed the whole game on normal
Use ms chalice for the horse it makes it alot easier

Some bosses are creepy in own way, and so much that they would give players nightmares. Lol. Anyway, I think every boss except for the Chess bosses are possessed by the Devil because of the yellow eyes and the fact that all of the Devil’s lieutenants except for King Dice, his casino lackeys, and those two guys in the secret boss fight in the Delicious Last Course are actually good people, like the Chess people. The Devil must have made deals with them. The Delicious Last Course bosses are probably the Devil’s backup lieutenants. The Chess people are not really evil. They just wanted to play with the Cup team. That’s my theory.
