    Great job and great video, Eric! And thanks for editing where you sped up to the repetitive parts. Unlike some people who show you unbolting the 132 bolts that hold the transmission tunnel in place or whatever lol. Again, thanks for a great job and a great video

    Awesome job. I want to do this but do you think it will be ok to cut out a round piece where the tailbone will sits? My tailbone hurts when I’m riding.

      I think it'll be fine, so long as the hole isn't too deep.

    hey man I'm going to do this, is there disadvantage to having gel on sides of seat as well?

    • @SecondLifeTravels1
      @SecondLifeTravels1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure - I've never put it down the side of a seat before.

    Can this work for someone who is a short rider and they need to take foam out of the seat in order to gain a couple of inches?

    • @SecondLifeTravels1
      @SecondLifeTravels1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mayyyybe, if the foam is thick enough in your seat. In my Ninja, it was already very thin.

    Do you have a link for that Gel Pad?

    • @SecondLifeTravels1
      @SecondLifeTravels1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Like this, but get whatever size and thickness you want. They're available on every platform, including Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Lazada - everywhere.

    Hi, where did you get the gel pad from?

    • @SecondLifeTravels1
      @SecondLifeTravels1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dave, I just ordered online. Whatever online sales platforms are in your country almost certainly sell it.

  • @dim_dimitriou

    What about putting a gel pad with the very same dimensions of the seat over the seat and, then, just cover it again with the thin foam and the leather? It is a bit "scary" to remove the seat material, because you may end up with a destroyed seat.

    • @SecondLifeTravels1
      @SecondLifeTravels1  ปีที่แล้ว

      I doubt you'd be able to pull that off, because the seat cover won't have that much stretch. If you did manage to somehow pull it off, I imagine the seat cover would be as taut as a drum and be hard as a rock!

    Where do you buy the gel pad

    • @SecondLifeTravels1
      @SecondLifeTravels1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Many websites sell it. If you're in the USA, eBay or Amazon.

    Where did you get the grey foam roll?

    • @SecondLifeTravels1
      @SecondLifeTravels1  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just spotted a shop by the road that had foam. In your country, do they have foam and fabric stores? Probably there.

      @SecondLifeTravels1 thanks for the reply. I ended up grabbing some one inch furniture fabric foam. Using your video as we speak to do my seat today wish me luck

      @SecondLifeTravels1 finished earlier this afternoon went great very happy with how it turned out. Thanks for the help via the video. One thing that helped out a lot was using a heat gun
      I did the seat on my 2018 cb650f and thw Heat made thing s do much easier to stretch the fabric over the edges of the seat and keep it tight

    I was concerned about rain water oozing in and making farting noise and nasty smell from the Gel pads.
