Great video! If this kit is purchased, are there any downsides to not using the provided foam liner? I ask because I'm considering reusing the OEM seat cover and not sure yet if I could get it to fit with the additional foam liner material.
The foam liner can help disguise the gel however! You are are welcome to leave it out, but you may see the outline of the gel pad once dismounting the bike but this is site unseen advice. let us know how it goes!
Hey guys, I'm totally looking into getting one of these and was wondering if a moisture barrier is needed if I'm using the OEM seat cover or if that's specifically for your guys' covers?
Hey! We provide a moisture barrier with some of our seat covers, depending on the design, to help keep your seat foam from absorbing water which can help prolong the foams integrity. OEM factory covers vary in quality and water resistance, so it is up to you if you deem it necessary. :)
Did you not cut the excess foam from the edges because this was a demonstration video? I feel like the install would be much cleaner if that was done. Same goes for the moisture barrier...?
Great question! Gold Gel R was developed for sport orientated bikes and can be used with OEM and Luimoto Seat Covers. Some opt for a new seat cover given the OEM one will be off for the gel install anyway, however that is purely up to you. 🙌
@@Luimotohqgreat I just ordered both, question should I install the gold gel and gel r and then the liner or should I install gold gel liner and then gold gel r and another liner?
Love from India ❤❤

As the video shows, we do trim both the foam and moisture barrier once the seat cover is in place
Should the protective wrapping be difficult to remove from the adhesive side of the gel?
Also my cover and gel insert did not come with the plastic layer - does that mean it was incorporated into the cover? Thanks again
@@R00567 The gel is sticky, we recommend only removing the outside edge of the plastic film.
@@R00567 Correct, depending on the seat cover, we incorporate the water barrier into the seat cover.
Can I still use my stock seat with the gold gel r? More importantly the m-seat for the s1k rr? Or do I HAVE to but the LuiMoto seat cover?
Great question!

Can you install the gold gel r on top of the gold gel for extra comfort? Will it make a difference?
Yes, you can totally stack the gel for even more comfort. 🙌

@@kriskukielczak3446 We would recommend installing the Gold Gel, Gold Gel R then the liner.
