Elton, one thing you mention frequently about dealing with businesses in Nicaragua is the fact that you get to know the owners and you know that your money is going directly to the community. When we were remodeling our place in Popoyo I dealt a lot with two local ferreterias. One in particular "Cubano's" blew me away one day. Imagine my surprise when I was short cash for some of the stuff I needed to get for the week's projects. I started taking stuff from my order so I would be able to pay for everything when the owner, "El Cubano" as everyone knew him, told me don't worry about it. " Take the stuff. You need it for your project. Just pay me next time you come in." Boom! Customer for life! He got 99% of my business after that. Keep uo the good work.
Hello, i tried your coffee. Very good, smooth and tasty. I'll buy some more soon. I'm enjoying your material and hope to visit Nicaragua in 2025. Most interested in Matagalpa or San Rafael del Norte for the cooler weather.
You had metallic brakes and the new ones are ceramic. Ceramic is a newer technology and usually more expensive. The price you made for the pads is good. Ceramics are usually more expensive. The price for labor is great. I think in the US you would have paid at least$100.
Just got my brakes done here in Canada. I did my pads and rotors, but the parts are much more expensive here and I got a buddy to help me do the brakes since the labour costs are insane here. Hearing how little you paid makes me wanna be there even more lol. Always stressed about the cost of maintaining our vehicles.
cerámica brake pads are the way to go.....they run cooler and make less brake dust... and the price you can't go wrong. the labor was almost free. I would have paid $20.00 for a great job.
Be careful with the jocotes. They can be a choking hazard, especially for young children. Where in Nueva Segovia? Congratulations. Greetings from California. Good job.
Small city mountain life there looks good to me! I guess that's Ocotal? I tried Jocotes when I was just there in Nicaragua recently but, I got the green, unripe ones which didn't really do it for me. lol. Next trip, the ripe ones. lol. Also, I have to say how weird it is that before I visited I had read how little variety there was in the produce available there. Which is opposite of what I saw. There was produce of all kinds everywhere. Like reading that Nicaraguan food wasn't all that great. But, it is in fact great. lol I guess it's a matter of taste, literally, but IDK. I liked the food a lot.
Ceramic breaks are for high performance vehicles being pushed hard and high heat makes them work at their best. If ur not pushing those breaks hard wt those high heats its not going to do a good job. Plus if they are authentic ceramic breaks then your breaks are going to squeak.
The brakes looked very easy to change. Most cars you have to take off the caliper, and that complicates everything. A little better quality brake pad, should last longer.
In nicaragua, only the government has the money to open 200,000 thousand businesses. You forgot to resurface the rotors. The good thing is a toyota, a Ford, truck would never make it nicaragua .no safety check. Good luck i hope the breaks won't fail
Loving every video of your interactions with merchants, artisans, and food vendors.
Mechanic here. Looks like parts cost nearly the same but labor is ridiculously cheap compared to the US. I’m glad you know a good mechanic.

San Rafael Del Norte is a beautiful town, I will be in Jinotega in January.

I just checked the price on line. The lowest was$47.97 and up to$70.00.
First video I watch in your channel.

Beautiful family
We just paid $300 for front pads + $320 for labour. Canada.

Is your coffee sold in Masaya?

Hasta se me hizo agua la boca al ver los jocotes😮
Chicos tengan cuidado cuando el niño coma jocotes, lo digo por la semilla.
eso mismo pensé yo, cuando vi a Elliet comiendo solito....
I have not had a jocote in 38 years.
Are you back in nicaragua or was this a pre recorded video?
44 USD is not gonna get you the pads alone here in California
$44 US might get you enough fuel to get TO the parts store here in Cali.
@treatsnaturalpetmarketplac3999 if it is close enough yeah!
Hello! Seatbelt please. Give a good example. We have thousands of death due to accidents
if you dont do rotors your truck will shake when you brake S: S:
