Had mine 35 years and still love em . I like the wedge tip and I’m the same , a little push and hand tighten them 👌🏼 We have the magnetic level too it’s like an extra hand 🖐🏼 . When we take ours down we do the opposite ( slacken the stabilisers them a little push and loosen the bottom screws then everything pops out lovely. Great no nonsense video 👌🏼🧱👍🏽
Nice video fella! Very good tip with the datum and that little wedge!! Might get some now..great video! I've only got straight box section..but use them paired with Rhino Blocks (Dori blocks) almost the same thing😉👌
I find the Blake's better though I have both, the bonus of Blake's is being able to joint behind them and not needing all the top clamps etc if you use the stabalisers properly. 👍
To get the profile squared up, a good tip is to run a course round the plot, but leave the corner bricks off. Then set up your line on the line clips and you can get the profile bang on lined in and square
Again brilliant! Wat I was doing , was holding the part where u put it in the brickwork tight in the bolt a few turns more and put them both in at same time ! But sometimes I fuck it up 😂
What do you think of Charlie’s new blakes stabiliser? Good idea, i usally go block first and gallow bracket top of blake of block. Good for if you got to do brick first tho andy aint it👌🏻
No favouritism here as I think Blakes are the best on the market and have stood the test of time untill now nothing better but I have to he honest Richards are better.
As far as I can make out , 3 other companies besides Blake’s make the Blake’s type profiles , I think they might be a bit concerned about losing out when the fitzbrick profiles come on the market . The fitzbrick profiles look like Blake’s on steroids . I was thinking about getting the Blake’s type that Faithfull tools sell . But I’m going to wait until the fitzbrick ones come on the market now .

Me again, just spent £400 odd on some new ones, but seems whenever we get to the next lift, we plum them up, and the lines are always running 2-5mm in towards the brick…I’ve always been told you shouldn’t adjust that top setting screw? Do you adjust them? Any help would be lovely me old mate?
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 in the southwest, it really is bizarre, it happened a few times with the last set, hence why we got new ones, sometimes it will run through lovely but the last couple times it doesn’t run through right and we’ve had to stick a packer in behind the brick and the setting screw to bring the line out, to avoid tipping the brick back
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 Yeah I always check for square, with the level, you got any tips on making sure it’s 100% square tho? Maybe I need to invest in a magnetic level
Nice,……before taking them down loosen the bottom screw half a turn to prevent chipped bricks, then next time you always screw to tighten, not unscrew to loosen… Great tip,l never bother with the square plate to stabilise
More you use them the easier it gets, you slightly offset the profile when you put the first clamp on, the wedge then stops that from falling out and when you bang the second clamp in it pulls it square.

Used Blake’s for over 20 years another tip is always make sure the profile is square to the wall or there will be a lip on the new brickwork
Yea I meant to show how to do that by running the level along the face of the wall but forgot 😁👍

What is that thing you first use to prop up the profile ? That goes over the top ?
don't know what it's called just comes with the the kit, have a look on Blakes profiles Website or Ebay
I normally ask Blake firstly if I can borrow his profiles then ask Blake to hold them still while I build…
is there a better profile or are these the best
