Excellent tutorial, could you explain how the rotary zone is created? Is it done with the cad model or simscale provides a tool for it? thanks!

Great video murad. Is the impeller cad model assembled inside the water body or is it impeller rotating zone inside the water body? Pls advise.

13:15 didnt you say the simulation was steady state and not transient? if so, then how did the software plot the velocity vs time graph.

For a steady-state analysis, with a "time step" of 1, the time is equal to the number of iterations. So, this plot shows the velocity per iteration. More information in regards to the Simulation Control and time step for steady-state simulations can be found here: www.simscale.com/docs/simulation-setup/simulation-control/

Thanks for the excellent tutorial. One question is the impeller also a simplified geometry like the pump body or is it true cad model?

Thanks for your feedback Hassan! It is indeed a true CAD model however you need to prepare the geometry as shown in the tutorial, more information here:

excellent tutorial, one question, why you defined inlet: velocity inlet with 8.5 e-3 m3/s(do you know the v inlet)? and outlet with P=0? in order to defined the characteristic curve is better set: inlet: P=0 and outlet Q= (the volume flow rate in the range of the pump) or is better set the opposite?

"Multiple bodies with material assignments were detected. Because this is a single region simulation, only a single body may be assigned a material. Please review your material assignments and leave only the flow volume with a material."
what is the solution of this error?

my animation in the simscale cannot be controlled if it is 0-1000 timesteps then it frames cannot be controlled properly even with the control button in the legacy interface. Plz help if there is any other way to input some values and get the proper animation. The frames jump from 0-1000 directly. no break in the middle can be given

i only have 3 days to make a wind simulation on a wind turbine , which a requirement on our thesis, PROBLEM is i have a very small knowledge on simscale ....
Honestly i wanna give up on this , i cant take it anymore

prnt.sc/v2ehql keep getting this error message, can you help? Have uploaded hollow casing, centred blades, have created combined component containing casing, blades, fluid volume and rotating zone, but seems to be adding lots of component for each part of the blades...can't work out what to do. Combined model in autocad: prnt.sc/v2ejyn

Fewer 90° elbows ! ! Anyone wonder why a pump manufacturer would BUILD IN A 90° angle right into the pump housing/Volute? ? ? Regardless of how well you lay out your system. you will always have one more 90 - built in for no apparent reason. It may look neat to have the output lined up and centered on the input but is that really worth an extra 90?
