    Brilliant video Will, properly in depth. I’m in a certain position to swap my M140i for an M2C and this has really helped and very much swaying to make the move.

    I am in the same boat! Almost identical mileage on my M2C, also intend to keep it long term. Btw that two horns thingy when you lock the car - can be changed with bimmercode (and coded out). I use that a lot actually so was annoying to hear the horns all the time…

    I own an M2 LCI and agree with you on where to go next... These cars are such great value, it's hard to rationalise anything more price wise. I'm starting to get the itch for the next car but really don't know where I'd go next! Potential the new M3, older (non-modified, FSH) GT-R or an Alfa Gulia Q. All coming with higher monthlies and maintenance, but I doubt I'd look to the Lotus/Porsche route as someone who doesn't track the car.
    Either way, whatever you get next will be a blast 👍

      @MrHCars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tough decision right? The M2 is just so good in so many ways!
      All good choices though & likewise I'm sure you'll love whichever choice you go for... but the M2 will always have a special place in our hearts!
      Thanks KMD! 👊🏼

    Big fan of the M2.
    Thanks for mentioning the phone holder. I've just ordered one. In my Mini I keep my phone in the cupholder and it's a pretty cumbersome solution, it rolls back if I accelerate hard, so I can't see the screen, and occasionally flies out and goes down the side of the seat. The turbo boost on the Mini 1.5 is quite aggressive if I put my foot down in 1st and that disturbs the phone. I've not had much luck with phone holders in the past but your one sounds decent.

    Changing the M2 for another albeit newer M2 limits your potential for different ownership experiences with other marques (which will give you opportunities for more content) . I’d use you current ride as you are, then change direction, get something different and enjoy the journey. The new M2 will be evolution rather revolution. Why spend another 20plus grand for more of the same even if it has a warranty? I’ve had Porsches, R8, BMWs etc all which have their own quirks. It’s part/of the fun of being a petrolhead / car enthusiast. (My 2p) AD

    £1500 is not going to cover the cost of fresh paint. I had PPF on my 996 turbo for 10 years, the front bumper wasn’t part of it and ended up looking an absolute state whereas the PPF looked as good as new. For £1500 I think it’s worth it for any half decent motor

    Enjoyed this Will and lots of food for thought. Your track point was very interesting tho not one I do. I’ve got an itch for a 6 pot cayman manual tho possibly a 981 but an early manual R8 is also of interest. Ultimately I’m with you that there is nothing obvious that’s in the new build space. Think I might use the 3rd year of ownership to do some of the mods you’ve went with (spoiler / splitter etc) and an alcantara covered wheel is up there. All the best with the channel in 2022, cheers, Kevin.

      @@MrHCars just re-watching and thinking about future vlogs. You may already be aware but the 4 year service will give you loose change out of £1k, if there is nothing else wrong, through BMW. Could be interesting noting you are out of warranty to do a price comparison with BMW main dealer, a BMW specialist using OE marked parts and a standard garage also using OE parts. Something to consider? Cheers, Kevin.
