- The Wonderland stars Akane, a girl who is told the day before her birthday that she's responsible for saving a fantastical world from danger. Though she's supposedly the destined Green Goddess, she wants nothing to do with it. Visual designs by Ilya Kuvshinov.
The Wonderland hits theaters in the U.S. on January 31. Canadian release dates are coming soon.

Ilya, the true story of "started from the bottom now we're here" by practicing and creating non-stop. Apparently wasn't the greatest start but he's an inspiration at this point.
His style is so fitting for anime and identifiable, makes me think of Range Murata too.

I think it's due to time. Series have multiple seasons and episodes for wacky adventures. Movies have 1-2+ hrs and maybe sequels if planned or does well to warrant one.

Genre of anime where protagonist(s) are sent to another world. Temporarily (So they can get back home.) or permanently (This is their life now. Let's find the demon king.) through a magic portal/door or death and reincarnation.
It's Alice in Wonderland. Argument can be made that Alice in Wonderland is isekai and you'd be right but it's pointless to make an isekai joke out of something that's clearly based off Alice in Wonderland.

That villain with the skull reminds me of Elias Ainsworth from The Ancient Magus Bride.The man with the hat reminds me of the monopoly man.The girl Akane reminds me of Akane Tsunemori from Psycho-Pass.

Can’t forget the chance of watching this in theaters, I had the choice to watch it and to this day regret skipping on it for an important errand.(I believe it was an important thing though I needed to do) Either way, hoping to see a release of some sort. It’s odd that there is little information on its release and the film in general. Not even a website, or any background on where you can watch it. I guess I should be at least lucky I even know of it’s existence.
Update: apparently you can watch it on VUDU or this Anime app, I forgot what it was called. But still I will regret missing that theater event. ):

Birthday Wonderland is simply the "Japanese" title, ie. the title the movie uses in Japan. Looks like they decided to change the title for US release. Other countries might keep the original title or translate it or even come up with an entirely new name.

I like that the voices don't sound like anime if that makes sense. Not super high pitched and overly exaggerated. Also that Ilya Kuvshinov art style is 10/10. I have been following him for so long now it is so cool to see the animation.
