As Africans we are a funny lot. This lady is good in business yet her family weren't willing to give her capital to start a business but ironically they were more than willing to sell all their possessions and even fundraise so that she could go abroad and be a servant to some racists. And she's not isolated case I've seen many similar stories across the continent. Until we Africans change our mindset we will forever be at the mercy of our oppressors.

Aki not all, I got an agent who charged me 300k to process a visa for my daughter. We paid 50k na visa ikatoka in 1 n half month. We already have the visa but my daughter doesn't want to go. As kenyans, let's not just think abroad ndio kuna maisha. Am okey with the fact my daughter isn't going though ako na 7 year visa.

Ok I leave in German the past 20 years.I want to encourage young people who want to go to abroad. Please...if it's not Europe,usa or canada.Just stay back.In this big countries you will find someone who can hold your hand and they also have a social system that is friendly you can start hard but things better each year.And as for the girl...the amount you have spend that gine to drainage I feel you will make it in Kenya.Is not everyone who goes outside their country and make it.Just go talk to them think of starting some good farming like potatoes na sukuma those thing are underestimated. Was good to hear about the lady from Western Kenya who assisted her at the airport in Malaysia.
Well, as another gentleman from Western Kenya (Ktl, to be precise), I will also be willing to support to this great cause; such that Gladys can come back to her feet again.
She is a God fearing lady, and as Christians, we believe that God places different people in our lives such that they can support us in this journey; they become our prayer answer.
