Sick! You can still see the tiny fibers on the edges, indicating they're pack fresh. Unless sleeved relatively soon those fibers are usually gone quick. Recently I took out a card that was sleeved for over 20 years and still had some fibers on the edges. Take care of your cards everyone!!!
the oscar rookie psa 9 is like $72k and the elgin rookie psa 9 is $32k damn! only one better is the wilt rookie at like $270k nice pack tho! huge risk huge reward
Huge congrats. The Oscar looks better than a 6 I just got back from psa. The Elgin is possibly a 7. Insane pack opening. I don't think I've ever seen someone do better opening an old pack. Absolutely nuts. It seems like u don't collect the set, so let me know if u have any interest of selling either before or after u grade them and avoiding seller fees.
That’s was awesome thanks opening the time capsule idk if you got any rookies ,but you got some good cards 🃏 some good players you did get lucky with that !!! Those are nice cards lakers got a giraffes 🦒 on it and royals old teams pretty cool, hopefully open more pop on some rookies
The gum card Dolph Schayes is also a HOFer, Syracuse nationals. Use some micro fiber on the card to try to get as much of the gum stain off as you can. I'm sure you'll have buyers for him as well.
With 66 in the Set, the odds were pretty good; but that "O" at PSA 8 is still like $9800, Eglin is around $13200 & West with the wax is still around $750 I'm sure ... that was an epic 5!
I remember going to a huge show in Vegas in the early 90’s and a dealer had boxes of 61 Fleer. It was sold for $500 a pack and if you opened it at the table and didn’t like what you got he’d buy the cards back for $300.
1 razor blade, puncture a corner and slowly apply pressure around the pack until you have a pack with a plastic top and bottom. Psa Slabs aren’t as easy for me, but a lot of the guys following just use plastic easily cut by a razor blade or exacto. Kinda hurt watching half the video be removing the pack.
This is when the Right Tool For the Job saying was implying .. super painfull watching the playdoe skizzers in action and the opener not attack the right angles is a whole nother issue really made me nervous
@@chri5784 More than that.Whatever the top card is,the next 2 are each 3 less,Then the 4th is 33 less than the first, and the pattern repeats. The 66 follows the pattern because, being printed on a 66-card sheet, the sequence is 3,2,1,66.If you can see either the top or bottom card in the pack, you know all 6 cards without opening it.
Lol what's a girl to do, that cracked me up. When my uncle used to tell us stories he would do a weird little dance and say, "when I was a little girl"
This sports card bubble is about to burst and when it does people are going to be left with Pennies for what they spent thousands on. Todays market has so many brands and inserts and 1 of 1 that nothing is special and it overwhelming
For some reason this video is trending this week for people who follow Pokémon TH-camrs like PokeRev, even though it's a video which is over a year old. Gotta love those algorithms!
If im dropping 10 grand im trying to find more then a single pack. May even try to eat the gum if im spending that much on it, itll either disintigrate or itll gum-up, hopefully the latter
Opening a $10,000 pack with $1.99 scissors lmao
That whole pack was almost all HOF’ers. That was unbelievable!
And the one guy that isn't in the hall, Don Ohl, was a five time All Star.
Was about 20 players back then 😂
8 teams back then .. only 44 base cards
almost too unbelievable
‘How not to open a sealed pack, part I’ LOL
Seriously, a nice pack!
Too bad though that the Jerry West was off center !
MrManfly every card in pk was.
@MrManfly the chip was worse than the centering on the West
Watching you try to open that gai slab is brutal....lol
There you go, Fleer was stacking packs for Chris the whole way back in 1961 LOL Killer pack!!!!

I've had the misfortune of dropping 20 yo cardboard and hearing the fibers shatter. Surprising, I was still able to sell the lot.
Don Ohl lived in the same apartment complex as my parents.
Always open 3 sides on the GAI holders to lower risk and use a heavier duty pair of scissors. Great vid!
For once, a pack opening of a valuable pack that wasn't a total bust
Oscar and Elgin rookies in the same pack!?!? Wow
10k??? You guys have all lost your minds.
Yes, yes we have
If u got it…spend it :)
Have to take chances in life
@@tubenachos same chance they took to safely open with scissors and a box cutter. 🤦🏻♂️
Fucking painful watching the hack job trying to open up 🙄
That may be the best pack rip I have ever seen. Lots of HOFer rookies!. I got to say you may have got 2 or 3x your money's worth. Congratulations!!
Crazy!! I hope you have another

I opened that for a friend of mine. He is grading the cards with PSA.
@@chri5784 Need an update.
Amazing pack!
I have that HOF Dolph Schayes card. I wish I had the other cards too.
Wow thats awesome. Holy moly. Never saw a pack of cards that old still unopened.
Yeah that was fun
That was an awesome pack with a bunch of HOFers. Real pack fresh too. Was fun to watch. Great video
Thanks a lot.
Wow what a pack, The big E, The Big O, & Mr. NBA Logo Jerry West RIP. Amazing
Gotta love your dollar store scissors. Tremendous rip! Congrats!! 👍
HOF pack not bad thanks for sharing
That was awesome!! Im new to the hobby, but i absolutely love the vintage cards. Hate the price tho!

great pull with the oscar robertson right off the bat
Nice big O rookie
This was crazy and nerve racking lmaoo 🤣 it was a very well balanced pack 7 & 8's all day !
Excellent cards and video my friend 😊
Thanks man.
The colors are still amazing. Getting them all graded would more than pay for that pack. Awesome and Congratulations
very cool man I give it a 6-7 maybe knowing PSA centering is bad but who knows
the centering on those are actually pretty good for that year. Looked at some comps on google with wayyyyyy worse centering that get 9's.
The card with the gum stuck to it was Dolph Schayes? Were you able to save it? Awesome pack,...well worth the opening.
Yeah I saved the gum.
Great video!!! Love the vintage!
Thanks.
Robertson go with SGC 8.5. What a pack! Congrats
I was cringing as you were opening! What a great pack, thanks for sharing.
Wow that’s an all star pack
Wonder is Boozer is related to Carlos Boozer from more current ball. Great pack. Great rip! Thanks

The big O I’m guessing will get a 6.. if so it’s about a $3k card!! Nice rip Chris!!
it looks pretty sharp i thought an 8 with an OC rating maybe
@@kevcakes5318 I could see a 7 but the mis-cut worries me to think anything higher.. would be amazing to see an 8 tho!
@@breakingchris6889 im guessing a 5 unless you sub to a eh company
Those packs and cards look good
I remember seeing a box of that opened about 30 years ago.
Y'all got any more of them?
I don't.

That is pretty cool.
Use a small screwdriver and small hammer , pop it in the middle on the side and use the screwdriver to pry it open , piece of cake
That was a damn good pack honestly. I’d love to own a pack
what did they grade with psa? we need an update.
They graded 6 and 7's
Easy 7 or 8 on that Oscar!!!
I bet the Oscar grades a PSA 7. Incredible product. 61 Fleer is awesome.
Amazing opening! Thanks.
Sweet Elgin to wow
How much for the scissors that opened it?
😅😅
The Jerry West isn't 95/5 centering. That would mean taking the width of left boarder multiply x20 and it would be the size of left boarder. No way.
Maybe a 90/10
Oscar card is rookie card?
Where did you get that pack?
Off of Ebay
Man I love the the big O
Great Pack of Stars......💎
No gloves??
It was rather warm in the store that day.
Ima rip a pk of 10k cards bare handed and under tooled. Cuz in the end , ya can't be too careful. 🤣
@@michaelotten2724 it was fun doing it this way.
2 big rooks!! Wow!!!
Brutal design...
Big O card would grade a PSA 7, Elgin Baylor 6.5 Imo
Man those are harder to bust then the big 3 grading cos
i'm saying PSA 6 or 7
I think it graded a 7.
Did you get these graded? Curious to see the outcome.
He is going to send them in for grading. When we get the results, I will post it on my Twitter, IG & Facebook.
@@chri5784 why not on YT?

Grading every card here you'll break even and more as time goes 👍. That said you just increased value of the remaining unopened out there 😂😀
I almost had a heart attack when he was open the pack out of the case.

Would you have eaten the gum if it didn't get stuck on the card?
Nah... I still have that piece of gum in the store.

Legendary.
So the card #'s were 39,36,33,6,3,66. Anybody else see a pattern?

Sooooooo cool!!🤤🤤
If grading all the cards will he get back his 10k with the cost of his grading fees from the cards
Depends on the grades.
Guy opens pack thinking he has a minty west, the west was bad shape but he hits minty big o and Elgin bro lucky doggg
10k for a pack of cards but spends 8 minutes cutting into it with dollar store scissors. Step your scissor game up and get an adult pair of scissors.
