  • I carefully chose and bought these 1986 Fleer Basketball cards from someone on Ebay. This clip features very nice NM/MT examples of a raw 1986 Fleer Basketball, Byron Scott Rookie. Other notables are Rolondo Blackman, Bill Walton, Alvan Adams, Orlando Woolridge and more. I couldn't be more pleased with the condition of these, all are near mint to mint. I will be sending them in for grading to PSA. I would say these should all be no lower than PSA 8's. I think a majority of them will be PSA 9's. Please subscribe and see the results when I get them back!

    Despite not sending the cards in top loaders, the cards are all worthy of sending them of to PSA

    Does anyone remember the smell of the pages for the collector binders from about 1990?

    Hey Mr. Mints,
    Can you plz tell me specifically what penny sleeves (brand/type) you used in this video ? Your cards seem to slip into them so nicely. I don’t seem to have the same results inserting my cards into PS’s as you have. Many thanks in advance !!!

      They are brand "cardboard gold". I don't know that are any better or worse than others I've used.

    What are the odds of me finding the 1996 jordan rookie.
    In one pack

      If you had an untampered box you get 3 or 4 per box. It’s 1986 not 96.

      Those are made by Beckett. They are called "Beckett Shield"

    So ive never sent a card in for grading myself. Yet.
    But the card savers, why dont grading companies want them in top loaders? I always feel like im close to damaging cards putting them into savers vs top loaders

    • @Mr-Mints
      @Mr-Mints  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m not totally sure but I believe they prefer savers because they can cut them on the edge if need be.

      I totally agree with you - causes me to feel as though I’m damaging the cards shipping them in savers. My understanding is the savers are easier for the graders to remove cards with

    Yeah thats nuts! I sell every card even 2 dollar cards in top loaders, thats ridiculous

      @j_toledo419 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also, I forgot to mention and got ripped on Twitter for this once 😏, but I've found shipping in top loaders and then put 2-3 top loaders in team bags seem to work better for me. Also looks a little cleaner vs the tape but agree both are very effective

      I know! I couldn’t believe they were only in penny savers. He had them packaged well other than that thankfully. I think he was new to selling and got the cards from a relative and was selling them off.

    I found a box of unopened 86 fleer basketball packs of cards at my moms house last week. I must have bought them when i was a kid. Im not sure what to do with them. Open or sell them. Be so hard to part with them unopened.

    I cant tell you how many cards Ive received from ebay sellers that are like this. There are cheap sob’s. There is only 1 ebay seller I shop with now. The rest are cheapskates.

    F**k dude. I live in Australia and once i got a card off probstein off ebay. International shipping and i didn't even get the card in a penny sleeve. I couldn't believe it.

    • @Mr-Mints

      Yep! I bought from Probstein one time and I'll never do it again, I scroll right past all their listings now. A few weeks back I purchased 5 Fleer basketball cards from him and they showed up with 3 of the 5 completely mangled. One was totally bent in half when they put it in the penny sleeve, they straightened it out and put it back in the sleeve and shipped it and called it good. They looked like a toddler packaged and sleeved them and were badly damaged just from sleeving them! The packaging wasn't the problem, it was the actual putting the card in the sleeve that did all the damage it appeared. Corners were all trashed from forcing them in the sleeve with no care whatsoever. I will never buy a thing from them again. I figured they are a huge seller and that they would be solid, but I was completely wrong. I wish I had vidoed that package, but I never would have thought a seller doing that volume would be so negligent. I have photos.
