The way you shows culture embeded not only food is amazing. I can feel your warm respect to each country's culture Mark. So grateful to see you exploring my home land.
Korea, like any country, has cities and rural areas. Thank you so much for showing such a different culture, not a video of going to the city like an ordinary traveler and eating normal food. It's so cool and thank you for trying to experience the culture of that country as much as possible. I hope you had a "delicious" trip.
Ah man just discovered this channel! I'm in Andorra currently and I haven't discovered the local food yet! That's bad. I make videos whilst traveling the world but don't do any local food reviews! He's doing this so right! Much to learn
Once again, Mark Wiens once again proves why he is the best TH-cam Food channel in the game. He explores parts of the countries that are not as covered or known. I really appreciate this series Mark, because there is more to Korea than just the city of Seoul. I will definitely explore in all these parts of Korea when I eventually travel there. The food is definitely one of the best in the world. How can you not like this guy? Mark Weins is da man no doubt!!
have you watched best ever food review show? that guy explores EXTREMELY unknown tribes and cultures around the globe. Mark doesn’t even come close i’m sorry. Mark is great but he doesn’t come close to Sonny in terms of depth
Nice to see part of the Korean countryside, the landscapes, the people and the food, everything I have seen about Korea was like the cities and technology etc, so this is very nice 👌🏻✌🏻
Mark has accentuated not just the food but the surroundings as well. Marks focus is so well grounded, the beautiful surroundings, the lush greenery, the local flora..the techniques used in making the food are exemplary. Its not something that you see everyday and the sides are salivating. Well done Mark, you have risen above all expectations yet again.
Korea is so beautiful. Very unique technique like the cubans we also bake under ground but this was so unique. Cant wait to see more of Korea. Mark you are truly amazing we love you ❤

I traveled to Thailand for a week and arrived in Korea yesterday. The Thai food was also really delicious and good. When it comes to Korean food, eating pork belly with kimchi is good. Eating pork belly with shrimp sauce is very good and easy to digest.
As a Korean, I guarantee that Mark introduces the legit Korean food cultures. I’ve watched many travel food channels but they were quite limited in the scenes that show typical food. Thank you Mark, and hope you enjoy the trip🤞
This dish is called ‘Samgut-gui’. ‘Samgut’ and ‘Samgut grilling’ are traditional Korean customs. In Korea, traditionally, people used to weave hemp to make hemp clothing. 'Samgut' refers to the process of cooking hemp, the raw material for hemp clothing, to make it easier to peel off the bark. 'Samgut' was conducted in a collaborative form among local residents because it was difficult for individuals to carry out. During this time, the local people steamed the hemp and then cooked it over a fire and shared it with alcohol. The 'Samgut' after-party that is shared and eaten in this way is called 'Samgut-gui'. Although 'Samgut' has disappeared into history, 'Samgut-gui' is still held as a local festival even today.

Mark! Thank you for introducing 삼굿 to the public! I should say this isn't really the most 'popular' aspect of Korea that many know. Its fantastic to see what KTO is doing to introduce Korea to the globe!
i have seen your videos and its probably more 10-14 years you have been into vlogging, best part is that you travel so much, consume food but you do take care of your body very well...superb, hats off for taking so much efforts and giving so much of knowledge of food, culture and many other things to audience who may love to visit these places and those who cannot because of some other reasons, they can enjoy your documentaries and food vlogging.....please as you do, take good care of your health and your family, be blesses...love from mumbai, india
Wow! This is something like nothing I've ever seen or imagined. Covering food with the earth! Looks like a construction project. This is something, thanks Mark for such amazing cultural experiences.
His content has always been top notch. He is the OG food vlogger. No one does more research than he or has better observations than he. He is merely expanding the technical elements of his videos, which is what every youtuber should always be doing. It's no accident that he has over 10 million followers.

Mate, I’m an Aussie who is well and truly hooked on your vids. You and Sonny are undoubtedly my favourite food channels. I love how you visit random places, and you show the culture and scenery in each vid. This one really has made me want to visit South Korea and see the smaller villages and countryside. Thank you again for a wonderful vid. If you ever visit Tasmania, look me up, I’ll show you around.
Mark this was absolutely wonderful to see this video. I enjoyed learning about the cooking of the food in this country. Thank you and your family. May God continue to bless you and your family. ❤❤
The level of strategy, engineering, and construction involved is intriguing. The incorporation of a bonfire and the use of heavy machinery like a backhoe and a tractor for this cooking method is truly unique. The layering of stones and the subsequent heating for approximately two hours to generate steam inside the oven is quite an elaborate process. Learning about the historical context of this technique, originally used for processing hemp into cloth and later adapted for cooking, adds an intriguing layer to its significance and evolution. It's impressive how an ancient method has been repurposed and adapted for culinary purposes.

Beyond all the food looking delicious, I found this video incredibly fascinating on so many levels. I also applaud your respect for and highlights of the cultures and traditions of all the countries you visit. I keep coming back more for your cultural respect and education of the people and traditions you come across more than the food, I think. I am planning a visit to Vietnam based largely on your influence, and now I am wondering if I should try and find a way to visit South Korea and Thailand, as well. (I honestly think your videos are on par with the delightful Anthony Bourdain.) Keep up the great work!!! To quote you.... MMMMMmmm... ooohhhhh.... Wwwooowww!".
