so happy I came across this!! My Momma used to make this every Thanksgiving. I kinda knew how she made it, but never paid close attention. She is gone now, so I cannot ask her. I will be making this for Thanksgiving. I know she will be proud to see me making giblet gravy. I've never known anyone to make this except her. She was a good ole' country girl from VA. Man could she cook!!!! Thanks for sharing.
I knew your recipe would be a hit at my house. My family LOVED IT. Soon as I heard you say "Ain't nothin to it but to do it!" I hit that subscribe button faster than water being grabbed off store shelves before a hurricane. You're an excellent teacher. Seriously, you got me cooking giblet gravy! You gotta be an excellent teacher to teach me something this important. You're awesome. I hope many blessings come your way, Chef. Please, always keep being your wonderful self. ❤
I had a black family invite me over. First time I ever had giblets gravy. I feel in love. I have to make this this year. I have yo show out please wish me luck
I just saw almost a dozen videos and shorts of chefs, professional TH-cam cooks, food network cooks, etc. and none of them interested me. THIS is what I was looking for! Just how my mom and grandma used to make! Happy Thanksgiving!
This gave me tears for joy, my grandma and my mom made this gravy and something told to try TH-cam and see I'd theirs a recipe on there and yours was the first to pop up. My angels sent me to you., both of them are no longer here. God Bless You! You nailed it frfr! Have a Blessed Holiday Season..
Top Chef you are awesome and I thank Grandma. I purchased your amazing cookbook and when I watch your videos I get teary eyed because I miss all my parents and grandparents. Your cooking videos brings back so many good memories. May God continue to Bless and Empower you. Keep up the good work
Have made gravy from pork chops and chicken drippings, but never attempted gravy for Thanksgiving, probably scared to mess it up on this special day....but this is a recipe anyone can follow...just remember to cook necks or whatever SLOWLY to get meat tender... She is a great teacher....just follow her directions for success!
I add a dash of kitchen bouquet to darken up mine and I boil meat first then add seasonings and veggies...I do that because I give the heart to the grandpup❤
I'll be cooking turkey for the first time for my friends so I have been watching videos on how I can get some good flavors going for turkey and how to make giblet gravy. This reminded me how how my uncle makes his gravy and it looks the exact same I cannot wait to give this a try!
Chef, the music and this combo...🔥Hot!!!! I’m a fan!!!!! Generally, I’d add everything to the pot and simmer for 2-3 hours. Instead of dicing my celery for the boil process, I add a stalk or two. I also use a portion of the dressing mixture to build my gravy. The gizzards and turkey necks cooking the longest. Just short of deboning the meat, the eggs are added to the flavored water. Talk about something good. I also add sautéed chopped bell peppers, onions and celery to the final gravy. I liked that you sautéed everything before adding liquids. I’m excited about giving it a try. I made this gravy last year for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! I had to come back and find the recipe again. Thank you so much for your tutorial!

Did you add all giblets to gravy? (Heart and lIver?) seems like you did but you only said “turkey neck, tail and gizzard” ???? Just wondering (especially since some say you don’t cook the liver and heart as long ….) ❤️
Yes, you can. I do it every year this Chef is wonderful. This is exactly how I make my giblet gravy. I came here for pointers, because I’m going to add extra gizzards to mine this year and I wanted to see if somebody else was doing that. Happy Thanksgiving.
Oh yeah and sometimes I my husband and son love boiling turkey necks until they are tender and eat them just like that, 😋😋😋. I got that from my dad. They are kinda messy to eat but we don't care, LoL 😁 we make alot of noise eating them but they are DA BOMB 💣.

More or less depending on how you like. I'm using 4, but the egg is my favorite part
Oh my that’s an awesome way to make it you made it look so easy thank you
You can thicken the gravy up with instant potatoes too. Like in a roast with Aujus. Nice video! Happy Thanksgiving everyone
That what my mom uses to thicken her potato soup instead of flour.

What meat is in it
The gizzard and turkey neck from the turkey and the turkey tail
Never heard of eggs in gravy. Interesting.
What meat did she put in there??
The giblets. It’s the bag that’s stuffed inside of the turkey.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
It’s water not “Warter”👀😜
U aint got me with no damn eggs in giblet gravy, THE HELL??
Lol insane.
