Today marks the *_20th Anniversary_* of the wife & I cooking Emeril’s gravy recipe (& Alton’s brined 🦃)! 👀 Where’d all those years go?!! 😣🤷♂️🤦♂️ *Edit: He leaves out the most important part here: DUMP your roasted bird drippings & fond INTO the gravy!! Happy Turkey Day, Emeril! We still love ya! 🤟
The "Applaud" sign comes on for the audience. Yeah, it's quite the cheesy show, at least he didn't do his goofy "bam" thing. He certainly can cook, but I don't like his short cut cooking style, then there is his sponsorship bad cookware, the stuff doesn't have to be ultra expensive, but what he sold his name to is junk. Chicken stock in turkey gravy? Sure it will work, but a rich turkey stock made from turkey drippings or bunch of necks simmered down all day makes a truly great turkey gravy.
Watching this made me think of an episode of Tales from the Dark Side where you have to watch bad programming in Hell for eternity as an audience member. Even the gravy looked awful.
Emeril, the king of Food Network before Food Network went mainstream and became popular.
Carried the Food Network to its success.
The real OG!
Miss you on Food Network! Come back!!!
A clean cook 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Why does the audience get wet when he mentioned garlic? What's the big deal? I love Emeril & all, but we NEVER put garlic in our giblet gravy!
