Sir, love from India. I saw some of your videos on youtube which were really helpful and made me correct my technique. But a new pain has evolved since a few weeks in my lower left side of my back. It hurts only when I speed up and throw. Otherwise pain is negligible on other back exercises like bridge and wheel pose. So please help me out. I would be exceedingly grateful towards you. Thank You
I’m only guessing but the timing of your block may be contributing but without seeing your throw I’m just guessing. Be sure to check with a physical therapist or doctor for care. Hopefully you can keep training and get better.
Hey coach, I have a competition very soon( in 5 days from the time this message was sent) how long should I rest before the comp and while I rest should I do light drill?
I like to rest or actively rest for 3 day or so. It depends on how I feel. Sometimes it helps to begin to taper a week in advance of a competition. Curious to hear from other coaches out there!
Learn the rearward lean. This can help deflect the javelin up off your block (low to high) better as well as increase your range of motion. There are a lot of drills to work through that. I may have a video on my channel about running on the runway. This is a lesson in my online javelin class too.
just started javelin 2 weeks ago and made it to south regionals because of your videos. Thanks coach Halley!
Love it!! I’m so glad to hear about your success!
Thanks, coach!!!
👍🏻👍🏻

Hey Coach Halley, Any tips on how to get out of a plateau?
Sometimes just taking a physical and mental break can help. Change up your activities so you stay healthy and in shape though.
@@coachhalley thank you so much.
Inevitably, the position where I release the javelin will be in the too front.
Is there a solution?
