Can you clear powder coat polished aluminum rims if they are CLEAN .

I'm looking for a product like allprep from Columbia coatings because in Germany i can't buy it. What is your opinion to "POR15 metal prep"? It also creates a phosphat layer.. Do you've got some experience with it?

Appreciate the video but show, don't tell. Have you had good results with Allprep? What's the pH of your shop water? If it's too alkaline, the Iron Phosphate may loose efficacy

Murcia acid dip will remove the mill scale.
What is the next step after all prep? I did a set of long arms and they rusted in the oven during outgas. I sanded them back down, hit them with all prep again then hit them with air to dry. Is that something I need to do?
You might have the mix wrong, or if your oven is too hot it will brown the metal making it look rusted.
Phosphate will get rid of rust but if you don't dry it quick enough it will flash rust like crazy.
What kind of gloves can I use to powder coat? Does our bare hands act like grounds?
we do bare hands to stay grounded and not get shocked, they make special grounding gloves too. We also will wear rubber gloves but not best idea for grounding.
Have you used Columbia’s ‘build’ primer on rougher surface parts Dan?
Nope, we use epoxy primer to fill, some times multiple coats
