They had something similar to this at Disneyland, back in the early 2010s. The first time I saw it, I knew that this was a test to see how people would react to Marvel in the parks, leading to Avengers Campus
Duffy Play House actually does not locate in the pavilion, it locates in the other room which used to be an exhibition for the castle of magical dreams. The last event held in the pavilion was a fan meeting, which is terrible. At last, we still don't have any information for the e-ticket attraction from the government.
While I understand that they need the space for other offering they should have tried to keep it even if in a different location as this looks spectacular
It reminds me of Universal's various Halloween houses. If Disney did this sort of thing stateside, it would definitely drive traffic based on FOMO alone.
It's nice that it is fully in English. In Shanghai and Tokyo most offerings are only in Mandarin or Japanese, respectively. In Paris, they at least do a split between French and English, but it's still a bit distracting (and I'm saying this as someone who both speaks French and English).
looks really cool! im honestly suprised it had some animatronics in it... considering what disney does now. they should totally build a permenant one of these!
@@ReviewTyme Probably insanely expensive and low capacity. 2 x ? character actors (I'm guessing they need breaks so they have to have multiples of Thor and Starlord), several involved staff, and it all being a walkthrough. Neat concept to test the waters, though! Unlike stuff like the Great Movie Ride, they also need the actors to somewhat accurately represent their characters. Can't be too many white actors in Hong Kong that happen to look like them, either. 😅
Wow, this video was so fascinating and informative. I had no idea that there was such a cool Marvel attraction in Hong Kong Disneyland. It sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to immerse yourself in the Marvel universe. I wish I could have experienced it myself.
This looks really good and way more fun that a lot of dark rides that just wheel you around to look at some actors on a screen or human animatronics, that just can't replicate actual actors right there interacting with you
awwwww good old review time, love your videos,i never got the propper chance to say thank you for the podcast ive been havign a blast listenning to them, there very entertaining and informative, take care yall......
We actually got to experience this on our second trip to Disneyland Hongkong. Considering the number of Actors involved and the constant throng of guests, I'm surprised it lasted that long!
Too bad they couldn’t put this behind the Avengers HQ at DCA until the ‘someday’ Avengers E-Ticket gets built. That video did look awesome and would be cool to have a walk-thru like that at DCA
Avengers Campus does need another E ticket attraction and if I recall correctly Disney basically cancelling the expensive E ticket Avengers Campus Quinjet ride and allegedly was replacing it with a cheaper King Thanos Multi-Verse Attraction simulator screen ride. That being said maybe an Avenger IP themed attraction based on this Dimensions Of Danger attraction would be better. The main issue I see is that Disneyland has very little room and maybe they could use the new Simworx AGV Dark Ride system concept. In addition having both ample amounts audio animatronics and screens for this ride. AGV Dark Ride | Automated Guided Vehicle, 3D Trackless .. Simworx AGV Dark Ride system
I wish some of these experiences could be copy/pasted into the Epcot Millenium pavilion space since it would be the perfect use for it (outside lucrative corporate events)
This is almost identical in format to The Doctor Who Experience that opened back in 2012. It was about travelling across iconic doctor who locations to collect three mcguffins that would save the day
I often like to follow along on Google or Apple Maps to zoom in on the park channels like you talk about... Quick question... What the heck was built next to Hong Kong Disneyland? What was space for a second gate has now become a dystopian grid of buildings that look like a hospital or prison... can't tell. Any thoughts?
Exciting! We haven’t been since 2019 but when we visited Mystic, Grizzly and Iron Man were out highlights. Hyperspace Mountain is good fun and the Jungle Cruise has a unique twist which we enjoyed. The entertainment is some of the best in the world but from what I’ve seen Festival of the Lion King is down which is rather disappointing. Checking some resources the park has been pretty busy the last two weeks but it should start easing off towards late June and early July. Definitely let us know how it is as we’re planning a trip for next year!
@@ReviewTyme I'll check it out. Thanks guys. Keep up the amazing work. Glad to see you guys in the big leagues. It was destined from the start! But I know you guys put a ton of work into your videos!
Grizzly Mountain, Mystic Manor, Mickey and The Wonderous Book, Stark Expo as a whole, Jungle Cruise (my favorite version), the gardens in Fantasyland, Moana's Homecoming and The Festival of The Lion King are all fantastic!
@reviewtyme wow I agree that it’s astounding how this was a temporary attraction, given all the theming investment. Do you think it is because of challenges related to hiring and maintaining actors in China that are ethnically true to the avengers characters? I can’t help but think that this walk through would steal the show from the rest of the avengers campus full scale rides… thanks for sharing this
Hong Kong is a very international city just by walking outside u can see people with all types of ethic backgrounds and all colours so hiring characters wouldn’t be hard also I wouldn’t consider hk as china
Not to shabby, I mean better transitions between doorways would have been nice but I understand the need to hide it isn't really in the budget for temporary attractions.
This temporary walkthrough looks better than the whole of avengers campus and it looks like more effort was put in
The fact that it’s true makes me so disappointed..

With the closing of Poseidon's Fury still fresh on my mind, I really really wish walk-through/employee-led attractions such as this could stick around
there is one in london that takes you back to guy fawkes night.

I think they will build it if frozenland turns out well and brings them some profit for a for years
While I understand that they need the space for other offering they should have tried to keep it even if in a different location as this looks spectacular
Honestly, slap this in Avengers Campus and it’d easily fit.

@@JDPal9 ...which is still expensive, especially for a low-capacity walk-through attraction. lol.
This attraction reminded me a bit of "Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour" at Tokyo Disneyland.

Thank you for this video! I got to experience this awesome walk-thru attraction and haven't seen any other Disney-focused channels discuss it!
This looks really good and way more fun that a lot of dark rides that just wheel you around to look at some actors on a screen or human animatronics, that just can't replicate actual actors right there interacting with you

Seems like an upgraded Poseidon's Fury. Seems cool
This was during my visit to Hong Kong. I really liked it

Something like this would really make DCA shine!
This looks really awesome.
Thanks for posting.
sooooooo simple yet so effective!
This should stay as a disneyland haunted house
Hong King Disney does some incredible temporary experiences it’s wild

Hong Kong always does great things! ❤

I kinda wish it would be permanent
This is almost identical in format to The Doctor Who Experience that opened back in 2012. It was about travelling across iconic doctor who locations to collect three mcguffins that would save the day
I missed it sooo much 😭 I go to hK Disney a lot but this walkthrough only lasted for a summer 😢
Lol is that the soundtrack messing up at 4:43?
Please do the Paris Avengers stageshow!

Those are COVID 19 quarantine facilities (in true Chinese standard, bathrooms are shared and you’re not really isolated from others)
well...I was there and it was one of the best experiences I've had at disney
I'm heading to Hong Kong Disneyland next week. Anything I should see?

Mystic Manor should be a top tier attraction as well as the Beauty and the Beast Dark Ride.

Thanks everyone, I look forward to seeing it and making a video about it. However don't expect it to anywhere as good as Reviewtyme's stuff.
I was there! I remember my girl friend who was visiting from the Netherlands said Thor looked her in the eyes lmao

I wish they tried harder to build new experiences at the original Disneyland instead of re-theming small parts of the park.
Not to shabby, I mean better transitions between doorways would have been nice but I understand the need to hide it isn't really in the budget for temporary attractions.
Ok it just me but doctor strange sound a bit strange like he’s not Benedict Cumberbands but a guy who haven’t seen a movie but the 90s cartoon
Looks interesting, but this was never going to last... It's in English!??
It would be great if this would come to Avengers Campus Paris. So it'll never happen.
Does the sexy YT dude speak English or chinese?
Are you talking about Dom? Cause he speaks English and very, very poor Chinese.
Please consider covering theme park accidents and deaths in your videos, it would be a popular addition to your content! 🙂
