Just got my pair, they were sitting. I like this pair more than the Concord honestly, it has the milky outsole, which I prefer over the icy outsole (icy outsole does not age well), the leather is easier to clean than the mesh.
I know some people want OG releases exactly like they were, but speaking for myself as a collector for over 35 years, having had so many different Jordans, having a pair that feels OG but with elevated materials is exactly what I want. If I got a classic muscle car, I'd want better seats, a updated sound system and a better engine than the original if i could. Why not with shoes. I would have liked black jumpman and white numbers, but these are damn near perfect.

You’re right, these are better than the original DMP; and I personally think they are equal to the original Concords. Such a gorgeous looking sneaker with the leather and gold hits. Really, an elevated look. Definitely 2 pairs for me. ❤️

I definitely been cooling out with my sneaker purchases but these need a double up. Concord 11's my favorite Jordan and I missed out on those last time so these make up for that. Look at the shape!! *Chefs kiss*. I like the added leather instead of mesh. Easier to keep clean

@WearTesters I love the channel and your perspective on kicks. I like some of the more in depth details from you and your spouse in your recent uploads. However, as an OG I dont like these. No ballistic mesh and the outsole has that dull look. It needs to be icy! I love 11s and I think they messed up on these.

I wore these for the past few days. Can confirm that oob these are a pinky toe killer. I ended up stuffing the shoes with shoe trees + extra rag at the pinky toe area and applied heat with a hair dryer to stretch out the leather. The pinky toe pain had since gone away. Also, the patent leather do creases after a few steps. I've learned to just embrace the material. Because of all leather construction, I have been wearing these mainly in the rain. So far, so good.
I like Chris and been watching his videos now for the past 3 to 4 years. I respect your take but honestly these may be a good pair of Js but without the mesh is just doesn't hit the old school vibes. I wont be goin for em so hopefully someone can cop em. I will say Ive purchased multiple T's from Since Ap and I hope you guys have more coming soon! I wish you wouldve had some Ts for the Cherry 12s!
Def still a cop but would have preferred closer to the '06 pair. I prefer the mesh over leather on XIs personally and would have been nice to get a gold hangtag as well. Not sure i am a fan of other slight tweaks from the '06 pair but still a very clean colorway on one of my all time favorite Jordan models. I do wonder with leather instead of mesh if its a sneaky cost saving exercise from JB. Believe the did it to the Neapolitans XIs recently as well. Some high end meshes could be quite expensive ; do wonder if it looks like a premium swap but could be actually saving them money.
Yes I was wondering if choosing leather or mesh was an economic tactic, either way, I still prefer the leather uppers over the mesh because it sorta gives that high quality look and will still look good after years of use while the mesh tends to yellow a bit and also stains easier. Other than that, the only thing I can nit pick as well would be like you said no gold hang tag plus I wish there was somewhat shoe trees like how they did the space jams(not really necessary but why not), and maybe some extra black + gold laces…I mean after all, they’re at a retail price of $230 + tax!! Overall tho, very pleased by this shoe and was luckily able to hit for retail today on Snkrs shock drop!!
My lil bro had the original dmp pack and gave me these cuz he didn't like them (mind you had the jordan on the nylon lacelets)....randomly asked for them back cuz he wanted to wear them with an outfit needless to say I never saw them again 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️....couldn't complain but now looking back
The leather upper is the big reason I like these. Feel comfortable knowing I can wear these and not sweat trying to not mess them up like my mesh concords
I’ve watched this I don’t know how many times and this was the first time I put together how Chris said they were made for pulling out so you could grab the right sized skin that isnt being worn by anything…yet
I like the 2006 DMPs a bit more than these Gratitudes. But as a very similar / tribute act to the DMP XIs we aren't getting a full on DMP XI retro anytime soon , likely a very long time tbh. So can't pass these up. Despite a few variations still a very similar colorway to the 2006 DMP XI's , so have to grab these. I do hope in 2024 the holiday XI is a retro of a previous XI colorway we've seen before very close to its original form. Space Jams, Gammas , Columbias even Pantones (though the first 3 i named would be my top choices). Might be way too much to ask or expect but perhaps Columbias earlier in '24 and then Space Jams or Gammas as the holiday XI would be amazing. But i'd be content with just one of those colorways in 2024.

But still i stand by my point ; i want a super clean XI release we've seen before close to its original form for the holiday '24 XIs. Space Jams tend to be in that 7-9 year cycle and we are in that but yes forgot about the lows. But Columbias, Gammas and Pantones would also be fantastic and were my other choices i listed and all in that 8-10 years since their last retro category as well. Don't want another Jubilee or Cherry type holiday 11 in '24. And though i like the Gratitudes and probably going for them would have preferred closer to the '06 DMP XIs. Hopefully '24 holiday XI is an iconic colorway retroing again very close to its original form , like the Cool Greys we got in was it 2021.
Still have my DMPS pack from 2008&2009. I was living in Colorado springs and working in the mall. Footlocker was a few stores down. I went to get a pair and they told me they weren't selling because people said the box was to big smh. So they let me get 4 super cheap 🙏🔥

I have been on the fence about this model but, seriously like the leather upper on them thus, I will HOPEFULLY pick up one pair maybe two. With this retro, with the already slightly yellow or cream tinted soles, I won't have to be so OCD about the soles yellowing. But, to all the fans of this retro, good luck on obtaining a pair and hopefully at retail. Would be interesting if Jordan Brand released an Air Jordan XI 11 in the original playoff colorway with a black leather upper. I would definitely be in for that. Wouldn't have mind if they released the Air Jordan XI 11 "Cap and Gown" with a black leather upper.
Update. Through some holiday time of the year miracle, I was actually fortunate enough to be able to purchase a pair from today's Nike SNKRS "shock drop".
I wore my 2018 Concords shortly after I got them to a company picnic and the dust from the red soil stained them. Looking forward to getting these and keeping them clean.
These are my favourite 11's above all. The leather and the gold hits just make it that much more premium for me. I coud give a damn if they're not OG, i still like them better than the OG Concords.

When I seen the white leather instead of mesh I had to get em. Missed out on the OGs 95’ had the white SEs when they re-released and the reverse tuxedos. These will be my 1st pair of the original cut of the shoe.
11s are always better made than the rest of the retros. I can't remember a shitty 11 as far as build quality and materials go in recent memory. 11s are THE Jordans. The top dawg. And JB knows that and delivers.
On feet, these look like a pair of 6 Rings more than Concords. Maybe its the milky outsole ... maybe its the leather. They just don't have that 'pop' the Concords have. I was so bummed when I put them on because I thought I'd like them better.
This is a really clean pair, I got em on the shockdrop and ima say the patent leather on these are kinda soft so we’ll see how it crease out but imho I think the concords takes the cherry man, it’s just an unbeatable classic 🤌🏽 coming in second to the playoff 11’s.
