  • This is an add-on wheel kit for any chicken tractor.
    Visit www.eggcartn.com/wheel-lift-kit for pricing.
    The Wheel/Lift Kit is designed to help solve the movability problems many do-it-yourselfers encounter when designing and building a chicken tractor. It can easily be attached to almost any chicken tractor. It features a two pedal design to lift and lower the back corners of a unit independently and a front dolly to lift and steer while moving the chicken tractor. The two pedal feature is operated by stepping on the front pedal to raise and latch the unit in the up position. Stepping on the rear pedal releases the latch and allows the unit to be lowered to the ground to protect the chickens from predators.
    For optimal portability, we recommend the lift kit for chicken tractors measuring up to 10’x12’ and weighing up to 400 lbs.

    The price! WOW! I bought 4 tires for $20, I'll figure it out myself.

    Have been using this wheel kit for over seven years on an 8 x 8 ft tractor. It works very well. My husband made a modification to extend the handles (since I'm 5'9") and it helped me move it with less bending. ... Just ordered another kit for a second (and larger) chicken tractor.
    BTW, I priced steel and flat-free tires locally this week, and to build this ourselves would not save us much money, especially considering we would have to cut, weld, paint, etc.

    Smart idea. I might have to get this for my own coop.

    Hey this is pretty coo- oh no, not for that price. I'll figure something else out. In my mind MAYBE $80 just for the sheer innovation of it.

    Overengineering --> overpricing.

    My guess is that the wheels would be too small to effectively move the coop/tractor.

    Couple of rear adjusters off of a push mower would do the same thing

    Is this chick tractor wheel kit available in Australia, and in particular, South Australia?

    Looks like it would work well...on perfectly flat ground.

  • @Skashoon
    @Skashoon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    The wheels aren’t large enough for anything but the flattest or slightly rolling terrain. Try using them to pull a tractor through mud, deep weeds and heavy stockpile or on strong grades. I can build the entire chicken tractor for less than this wheel kit.

    Brilliant product, but bad ad. Did a great job showing the ease of use and demonstrating features, but no contact information. There should be links in the description to a place (preferably a website unless available nation wide at a major retailer) to purchase this kit, or at least a slide with that info in the video itself. Furthermore Quail Manufacturing is listed as the seller of this product, but If you do a Google search for them you find a company that sells sod cutters in Minnesota. I'd potentially be interested in your product, if only there was more info.

      Double the cost of materials for profit and materials... sounds right to me.
      And it's all in a kit delivered right to my door! Not a bad deal really, I'll just use some old bike tires laying around and 2x4s
