I’m in Australia, I’m regularly bucking Iron Bark for firewood. Iron Bark is as hard a timber you’ll come across. For you primarily falling hardwood timbers, trial a full chisel tungsten tip chain. Yes there is an out lay for a diamond / CBN sharpening wheel. But I go through several tanks of fuel (592XP) before even considering swapping the chain. The timber you’re cutting, you would get through the entire day. Just a suggestion.

Great job as always. I like how you break down the reasoning behind your process. Efficiency and product value v cost and time.

You can definitely hear the difference in the 395 as opposed to the 592! The 592 is BEASTLY! i Lovem...i just cant justify spending the money on one since im just a firewood cutter occasionally and afterall...it gives me a platform to build towards as a personal saw builder

  • @Zackronym

You’re right about that light weight bar flexing like crazy, you can see it on that third tree really well. Yikes

  • @KevinsDisobedience

I hadn’t thought about that problem with boring cutting with a light weight bar. I always learn something from your vids. Thanks

  • @jeffdunlap9620

Thats some good looking timber, that tsunami light bar definitely had some crazy flex iv never seen one flex that much. Great video as always

It sucks they’re building a hotel on that beautiful property. Those were nice trees. If I owned property as majestic as that I would find someway to keep it natural.

Love the channel. Glad to watch someone who is a professional. Not some hobby saw guy who sucks cutting cookies with a race saw.

  • @patrickvennard838

I only ever cut my own firewood so a lightweight bar that's a 1Lb lighter makes sense, great video as ever.

  • @woodstacker5241

Great video feller. Keep them coming!

Great stumps, confuses me that people leave high stumps. I cut pulp in Gotham NH in the 70s. They started me in the yard cutting with a big Husqvarna and 24” bar. If you survived the week they sent you out to the woods😂 where there was more money to be made. Best Regards

I’d like to see how you limb and cut up that big maple. Or tree like it. Great videos. Thanks for sharing all the different cutting types. I had no idea their are so many ways to fall a hardwood tree

  • @shieldwolffalcontrainer9040

Thank you for sharing. Another awesome video. Perty big sugar maple. The way you leave your spur cut for holding wood if it does pull fiber it should be out of the stump and not from the butt. Alot of the trees i cut if they do fiber pull its off the stump. Easily cut off the log. I personally wont use light bars. They flex to much as you know. They dont work well with the bore cutting styles of the midwest hardwood fellers. Great for limbing and bucking. Thanks again for sharing.

Couldn’t agree more about the lightweight bars. When I started, the bars were all hard nose. It took some getting used to sprocket nose, but I did quickly. But the diving board action when you’re pulling the trigger on a 90cc saw is no bueno lol

  • @DeadWoodLogging6996

Nice slide & a soft landing of that first tree - so cool !

  • @LeeTillbury

Thanks for posting dude. I found that interesting

  • @rugerfarming5387

Damned ol shagbark hickory will take a edge off a chain quick. Nice lay on that Maple. Good job fella.

  • @davidjmediaco

That was a big boy. Well done bringing it down safely 👏🏻

  • @shedder1104

    Love it!

  • @DavidSmith-qg4dd
