This is a wild off the wall notion, but would takinging this principle and incorporating a cone style cvt instead of gears accomplish anything beneficial?
Most pro guys run spool, some have an LSD with them in the truck that they sometimes swap in but majority always runs spool. I think for chasing its better to run a spool, on some courses like Nürburgring where we drive the curb can also lift a wheel which will make you lose traction sooner with an LSD, seen it happen a few times. One very experienced very technical German champion driver was always running LSD and anti spool , he's now on spool and prefers it.
I know I’m several years late but I’m curious if you could flip it 180 degrees so that the input is on top and have the outputs for the axle shafts sit lower?
Planning on buying two 8” ultralight Winters quick change diffs for an Electric Awd 325ix. Electric motors and diffs in front and rear for hill climb. Its already in the worx with chemical dip the body/chassis and ready for cage and reinforcement and removable tube core support. Were also doing carbon panels and roof. Alcon big brakes work wheels. Any thoughts?
Use the big gears as they are a LOT stronger. Electric motors make a lot of torque, well at least for a short period The smaller gears are ok for a midget or say a 2 litre tintop.
what are the upgrades that differ from other quick changes and if a manufacturer were to lower the drivetrain enough to fit a spiral bevel diff with helical cut gears wouldnt that be the best of both worlds?
Yeah, spiral bevel loses the least power. The upgrades are in quality of sprockets, bearings, seals, shafts but also the setup/backlash is different from stock.
@@DriftJesus oh wow so its weaker hmmm wonder why they would have made a weaker one and called it the latest update?? Also are these as loud as a straight cut transmission?
@@pourtierbeatz7804 are we talking about the same? The is a smaller 8.3/8 version. That is a lot weaker. There has been a casing update, but that's same weight and size, its not proven enough for us to use yet. About the noise, the ones we sell are not very loud because the backlash is set specifically for drifting. They also run cooler and less stressed than standard specification. From inside the car you can't hear them much.
@@DriftJesus was looking into one but man i wouldmt be able to bear that whine if its really bad . I will still be retaining my cd009 transmission to keep it street
@@pourtierbeatz7804 ours are quiet enough, many of them are super loud. Because of incorrect settings for drift. They need specific tolerances for that, not the same as drag racing.
Good info, I was one of those guys saying that you loose power with quick-change lol
Yes its very logical to think! But we like to see for ourselves :)
This is a wild off the wall notion, but would takinging this principle and incorporating a cone style cvt instead of gears accomplish anything beneficial?
Failures probably
CVT’s break really easy and it would most likely be illegal for drifting, as it allows you to change setup in between lead/chase runs.
Otherwise, it would be awesome to be able to change ratios from a button…
Drift Jesus always spreading knowledge 😎
At your service !
What are your thoughts on a lsd vs a spool center?

Great videos you deserve more views man
Thanks, appreciate it

We supply those too, but you cannot do that with an existing unit.
Very interesting on hypoid gears! Thank you
Yes! Not very known facts! Where are you watching from?
@@DriftJesus Little known hell town that recently froze over. Must have to do with the new "president".
Great info man
Thank you!

Don't get the 8.25" ones

Drift Jesus do you guys offer a full kit for the e36 and e46 platform?
Subframe, quick change, axles and all ready to bolt on into a e36/46 chassis?
Yes, best email our office ; info@einzel.nl
Hi, Great work. What is the diff internal you use for q/c?
My car runs spool

ive been trying to find information on quick changes and this is the most ive found out about them
Yeah, spiral bevel loses the least power. The upgrades are in quality of sprockets, bearings, seals, shafts but also the setup/backlash is different from stock.
We can also sell you a non/quickchange diff similar setup just without the back gears. Email the link in video for more info.
@@DriftJesus thanks ive been looking at e46s and going up to a quickchange and starting the process of a budget pro car for myself
@@njdorset1050 yeah we got turn key solutions for E46 etc.
Isnt the gen 2 better since it weights less and its smaller for more space in the rear?

..and what is does to be good for drifting ?
You can run the right ratio on every track
