Recruiting a Second Treeman Lord to follow you and level up will help a ton, extra recruitment, magic, and ability to put them in an office. Plus he's a Treeman so he's not useless in battle.
I guess the easiest way to avoid fighting Wood Elves is to rule the Wood Elves with an iron (erm, wooden) fist. Send them to die in their droves while the Tree Spirits watch on dispassionately.
It's a win-win when you think about it

Another thing to mention is to wait for Drycha to get her unique Treeman hero Coedill too so you can get him on your side as he won't be available otherwise and more angry trees is always better haha

Nice switch! Great start to the series.
To say this, Duurthu actually likes the wood elves, but recently you can say he is tired of all the wars going on as the wood elves try to defend the forest and the deep roots, and durthu remembers a time before the wars.
But he does not take crap at all.
I do love how outright disturbing the dryads move, it's so stiff and jittery, like the spirit within is struggling as much with the wood as the actual fighting.
Hahaha, he who hates Wood Elves, does a Wood Elves playthrough :) Though I'm guessing you picking the Tree dude, it'd be more Wood and less Elf ;)

As Durthu you want to go for for the jungle of Chian. The unique building there gives -30% forest spirit upkeep

Ah, this takes me back to my early tabletop days. My tree spirit army, with not an elf in sight, skirmishing all over the place. I remember researching colour schemes at Westonbirt Arboretum (my wife liked it so much there that’s where we chose to get married). Good times.
Aspect of the birch makes the tree ladies melt dwarfs and you can really feel it. I changed it once and forgot to put it back, took a lot more damage because of that

I'm sure you have pre-planned armies for the inevitable collection of LL WE Lords, but if I may make some suggestions:
Lotsa Treebois and gurls for Angry Tree Man of course
Orion should be with his hippie butterfly waif and a healthy cav force of Wild Riders, Sisters of Thorn, and Great Stag Knights as they get buffed with em
The sexy twins should get all the hawk riders, dragons, and maybe some turkeys with plenty of range since they get big ammunition and flyer bonuses
Drycha is a toughie but try and time your confederation with her until she recruits a lot of her malevolent treebois and forest spirit critters cuz the frenzy and variety is nice
Also the Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords and Skill Respec mods are likewise available too

The woodelves have some pretty good antilarge chave and wardancers but your ap missle are your best option

I found durthus campaign to be much more defensive than the other wood elves......atleast in the early stages.

The Mastery trait did stack in WH3. That's one of the things that made Kairos so strong with a bunch of spell casters in his army. Just think of how good a 200% buffed Amber Spear will be! I don't know if caps at 100% bonus or if I'm making that up at this point. I feel like Legend stacked this up a bunch when he played Kairos and used him as a one unit doom stack. But take this comment with a grain of salt, I'm a little drunk atm.

just asking.. in Warhammer 3.. is the Empire also can't inhabit the mountain settlement?? I follow this series alot but just got time to play the 1st game, I play Reikland of course and I figure out that Empire factions can't colonize the mountain settlement.. or there are some trait that I need to do to let me occupy the mountain settlement??
They can, settlments have a colour associated with them based on their terrain type. Certain terrain types are either
Green - perfect, no penalties
Orange - not ideal, some penalties
Red - uninhabitable, severe penalties
You can settle everything, you just might not want to.

40:14 as durthu is the only legendary lord I would ever play for the wood elves, I am finally happy that durthu's territory is connected to parravon, instead of ending at the river because it was fecken annoying to take a turn to defeat that dwarf army, not replenish and recruit since you are in vaul's anvil turf and you didn't have enough movement to get to waterfall Palace (of course you could force march which negates the replenishment problem but still couldn't recruit), but now you can replenish and recruit. I am finally happy that CA grown somewhat of a brain cell to correct their mistake and not make the game more annoying and unfun,
OfCourse that would mean you could get raided by the Bretonnia but they are Bretonnia, just torch the place, like they could hold a resistance against you, what are they going to do calve charge you inside a settlement while you claim the walls with your archers? can they even hold the walls with their pathetic excuse of "melee" units. no, they can't even on legendary if you lose to an early Bretonnia garrison, you should un-install the game (their best units are calves and calves are shit in sieges)

Great game I just hate how u have to buy the entire Warhammer catalog to get all the playable races and legendary hero's. That's right not just a few expansions for Warhammer 3. U need warhammer 1 & 2 and there expansions to unlock content for WH 3
I dont like this style of gameplay, not like you care but expect critics always, just don't like how you are doing nothing but narrate something that is supposed to be a gameplay video.. best wishes
