My dad did almost the same thing in North Africa in WW2 . He did not kill them but took them for information . With a few others they would move out at night to find German Pickets . He would say in German if you want to live make no sound walk backward to my voice . They would jump up and put a knife to their throat gag an tie them up and return back their line to get information . He almost never talked about the war but the few times he did he has a reason . actually the most noble French resistance group I heard off was a bunch of Trotskists (anti-Stalinist Communists basically). Instead of killing the occupying German soldiers they recruited some of them to their cause. That takes a lot more courage then stabbing someone in the depth of night. It also must take a lot of idealism and love. They published an underground anti-war/socialist newspaper together with these Germans for about a year. Eventually they got over confident from what I heard. They organized a protest by German soldiers somewhere in the Bretagne. Got too much attention and eventually they were found out. The French members of this group were send to the death camps, the Germans they had recruited were shot.
The Ukrainians have something to fight for. The Russian soldiers are ambivalent without a cause, their cruelty only reveals a weakness of spirit. Ukrainians are so brave and resilient their humanity is strong they deserve more EU assistance, they already have the love and support of the world.

You need to take into account that fighting russians IS our mindset. We've been attacked by them for centuries. We've been enslaved by them (my great grandma was a slave). We've been deported to Siberia and Kazakhstan. Our books, churches, entire villages were burnt down. Famines, massacres. And all of that is not just 20th, 19th centuries. All of that is pretty much last millennia for us. It's not a problem with putin, it's not a problem with USSR, or the empire they used to be. It's way more general. So it's not that we somehow changed out of nowhere to fight them. It's just another time for us. Nothing new (strategies, weapons are, of course, but the fact that we are attacked for being Ukrainians is not new).

My dad did almost the same thing in North Africa in WW2 . He did not kill them but took them for information . With a few others they would move out at night to find German Pickets . He would say in German if you want to live make no sound walk backward to my voice . They would jump up and put a knife to their throat gag an tie them up and return back their line to get information . He almost never talked about the war but the few times he did he has a reason . This time was to help me with fear of the dark . He told me you can be afraid of the dark or you can be the reason others are afraid of the dark . I was no longer afraid of the dark .

actually the most noble French resistance group I heard off was a bunch of Trotskists (anti-Stalinist Communists basically). Instead of killing the occupying German soldiers they recruited some of them to their cause. That takes a lot more courage then stabbing someone in the depth of night. It also must take a lot of idealism and love.
They published an underground anti-war/socialist newspaper together with these Germans for about a year. Eventually they got over confident from what I heard. They organized a protest by German soldiers somewhere in the Bretagne. Got too much attention and eventually they were found out. The French members of this group were send to the death camps, the Germans they had recruited were shot.

You need to take into account that fighting russians IS our mindset. We've been attacked by them for centuries. We've been enslaved by them (my great grandma was a slave). We've been deported to Siberia and Kazakhstan. Our books, churches, entire villages were burnt down. Famines, massacres. And all of that is not just 20th, 19th centuries. All of that is pretty much last millennia for us. It's not a problem with putin, it's not a problem with USSR, or the empire they used to be. It's way more general.
So it's not that we somehow changed out of nowhere to fight them. It's just another time for us. Nothing new (strategies, weapons are, of course, but the fact that we are attacked for being Ukrainians is not new).

@@michaelrmurphy2734 this kid didn’t kill to satiate a mental derailed drive. He killed an enemy who looted, destroyed and invaded his town. An invading enemy who had been killing and rapping his relatives, and destroying his own former free life.
@@mbarbe007 We hope but basically we are just going on his word here, seems odd that he would be allowed by the authorities to execute people HE deems as spies, even if they would admit this to him with out questioning they are spies, which I find unlikely. So basically he could just be going up to drunk people and questioning them and if he thinks they are lying he does what? Just seems like a slippery slope. That kind of unchecked power scary, it’s supposed to be the difference between them and us.
