Y'all should watch X-Men 97; it's almost perfect and the second-best project in the MCU behind Daredevil, easy 9/10. The episodes are under 30 minutes, so it's fast to binge-watch and edit compared to other TV shows. And yes, Juggetnaut wears the helmet to stop Charles from using telepathy and mind control in him. Charles is Cain's half brother (Cain is the Juggernaut name). Juggernaut is not a mutant; the films got that wrong twice. Charles is adopted by Jugganaut's father in a bid to get Charles' mother's money. He and Charles were basically abused by Cain's father. But while both of them got it, Marko apparently got it much rougher, creating deep resentment in him. Minor corrections: Onslaught once fought Juggernaut in western Canada and punched him so hard the X-Men found him unconscious in New Jersey. I believe at some point later on Onslaught rips the Crimson Gem right out of him. Also when Apocalypse turned Hulk into his horseman War, Hulk was able to stop the Juggernaut at full charge. I think he also did so as Worldbreaker Hulk.
One of the guys on the back of the pickup truck with balls on the trailer hitch was Matt Damon. The prisoner that fell out of the transport vehicle was the director of the movie.

Honestly I prefer Deadpool 2 over the First one, not to say that Deadpool 1 was bad. I feel like Deadpool 2 really turned up the gore, the hilarity etc.

I’m pretty sure none of this was shot in Hong Kong. The opening fight scene was shot in the same city as the rest of the first 2 movies, Vancouver - the Shagri-La Hotel specifically, an Asian themed hotel in the downtown area. I was living on the west end when both movies were filmed and the spotlight kept me up, so I hope it was worth it.
In the comics Juggernaut was physically abused by his own father as a kid, so it makes sense why he'd sympathize with and want to help Russell. He's Xavier's step-brother, as alluded to in the movie, and you're right that he's extremely durable, as you can see him climb out of the pool at the end of the movie. He has been able to outmatch Hulk in pure physical strength in the comics, and has regenerative/healing abilities close to that of Wolverine and Deadpool.
I genuinely loved the kid in this movie. I don't know why people didn't like him. He played a character and did it well far as I was concerned. He fit in really well with the movie. I love both movies and it's very close which one I like more, but I saw this one in the cinema, I loved every second of it and rated it slightly higher, which I almost never do for sequels.

I don't know how many times I've seen this movie, but I just realized something. Isn't taking away Deadpool's power cruel and unusual punishment? Without his healing power, he is literally being tortured and killed by his cancer.

Deadpool is one of 2 heroes in comics that can "Break the 4th wall" which means he will literally KNOW and speak to the reader of the comic book story, just like he does in these movies. It's supposed to be impossible in the comic universe, but his creator just "yeah right" and gave it to him, and people were hooked.

Deadpool & DP 2 are 5/5 for me... DP/W is a 6/5! I have seen DP/W 6 times in the theatre... the first 2 I have easily seen a 100 times each and numerous times as partial viewings when I see they are on TV and I flip over... I absolutely LOVE these films!
5'11" is short when you're playing a character who's 6'8". 😝 In the comics, Cable is six inches taller than Deadpool. In the movie, he's three inches shorter than Deadpool. Definitely worth commenting on if you're aware that you're a character in a movie based on comics.

@@JessAndTess I get that, I just haven’t seen it until I specifically went looking. Among friends and the reactions I’ve seen of the movie, they all seem fine with the character. Personally I think he’s a pretty valuable and appropriate character to the themes. He lashes out and talks about hurting everyone around him so they feel his pain… a not uncommon response to being horribly traumatized, having been treated as a dangerous worthless “other” and never being shown a support structure or anyone treating him like he mattered. As flippant and immature as the whole Deadpool character and movies can be, they have strong themes of dealing with abuse and trauma and how survivors deal with it. Wade spreading his own pain to others with violence is a huge part of his character as well, he was just “lucky” enough to have targets that “deserve it” while an abused orphan kid whose powers likely scare people into shunning him sees his harm coming from the world around him.

Deadpool & DP 2 are 5/5 for me... DP/W is a 6/5! I have seen DP/W 6 times in the theatre... the first 2 I have easily seen a 100 times each and numerous times as partial viewings when I see they are on TV and I flip over... I absolutely LOVE these films!

5'11" is short when you're playing a character who's 6'8". 😝 In the comics, Cable is six inches taller than Deadpool. In the movie, he's three inches shorter than Deadpool. Definitely worth commenting on if you're aware that you're a character in a movie based on comics.

People not liking the kid… I’ve seriously not come across anyone who didn’t like him (though looking now I see that opinion exists…)! He’s great, kiwi actor also in Taika Waititi’s earlier super successful/great film Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

@@JessAndTess I get that, I just haven’t seen it until I specifically went looking. Among friends and the reactions I’ve seen of the movie, they all seem fine with the character.
Personally I think he’s a pretty valuable and appropriate character to the themes. He lashes out and talks about hurting everyone around him so they feel his pain… a not uncommon response to being horribly traumatized, having been treated as a dangerous worthless “other” and never being shown a support structure or anyone treating him like he mattered. As flippant and immature as the whole Deadpool character and movies can be, they have strong themes of dealing with abuse and trauma and how survivors deal with it. Wade spreading his own pain to others with violence is a huge part of his character as well, he was just “lucky” enough to have targets that “deserve it” while an abused orphan kid whose powers likely scare people into shunning him sees his harm coming from the world around him.
