I have a manuel socom elite. Bronze handle with a coated blade. Had to send it to Microtech to fix the lock rock. Got it back and it is great. Love it.
Well I keep looking and hoping. I wanted the manual in satin clip point S/E or partially serrated for travel purposes. I’m sure the automatic is awesome but so many places say no to automatics.

I've been using it everyday for food prep for the last 3 years. It gives me to most opportunity to cut. You should try it and tell me how the edge would hold. I sharpen mine every 2 to 3 weeks to keep it super special sharp.
@@edged_mindset yes it would be. From what I can find they used it in 2018-19. But no one knows for sure what it currently is. 7075 is some hard stuff and takes a crap ton to scratch it. I’m almost certain my 2023 knife is 6061
Yes usually. I was referring to when they started making this updated model of the Elite. It has gone through a few design changes since it came out decades ago
Curious about the gloves. I see many knife youtubers following this trend and I'm not sure why. Some vids you don't have them on. Also I've noticed that your thumbs are all chewed up and red and sore....stop picking at it!
I have carried a Microtech SOCOM for many years on the road in law enforcement. It's a knife you can trust your life on.
Best tip down folder ever produced. 2018 is best year of production.
The sound of a SOCOM deploying is music to my ears.
Action is amazing on these. They’re thick boys, but cut so damn well!
