Thank you for your sweet comment, Denise! I feel Senko grows more confident with every day that passes, even though he is in a tough place in his life right now, I'm sure when he reaches adulthood he'll be a confident and happy chimp ❤
@@denisemorris1177 Agreed, luckily it does seem like Nje likes him and will even share his food with him at times. Maybe him and Moku will let Senko join them when they display in the future. ☺
@apediaries Give them more room, some suitable enclosure, and tell visitors not to annoy the chimps. The noise visitors make are unacceptable. It was annoying for me, and what about the monkey? What I see on this short film is plain abuse!
@@arslibribookdesignandbookr8124 you have not seen actual abuse then. The chimps have a large three part enclosure with lots of enrichment and are getting an entirely new outdoor area this spring. I agree some parts do not look pretty to a human eye but apes do not care about this at all
Can the monkeys hear all the noises visitors make? If so, it is a torture for the poor animals and absolutely unacceptable. So small enclosure and a bunch of people that don't know how to behave around animals. Very upsetting!
They are apes, not monkeys. The ape house is a silent zone, and most people do follow these rules. Rowdy people are usually kicked out by zoo staff. Majority of the time it is quiet, it is just a few hours in the weekend it can get a bit noisy and if the chimps are tired of the noise they have free acess to the backrooms, far away from the guests. You might get the impression that the enclosure is small, but it is actually one of the biggest indoor chimp enclosures I've seen in zoos. It is well designed and has a good size, having mulitple rooms and a high cieling with lots of climbing opputunities. They have also just finished building a new spacious outdoor area for the chimps, which will open as the weather gets warmer and makes any noise issues much easier for the zoo and the chimps to control.
Welcome to adulthood Senko. You are a handsome one. There will be life challenges but you’ll be able to handle them. Enjoy life. 🥰❤️❤️

@ I did notice that, but if he keeps grooming and getting closer to the Alpha and the older chimps, he may be ok. He was showing a lot of display. 🥰

@ Let’s keep our fingers crossed 🤞.
Do they have a yard to play in or just these 2 rooms?@apediaries
Happy birthday fellow ape buddy! 🦍🎉😉
wishing senko good wind on his big day:) hopefully he got a lot of attention from the others and some delicious food
Let's hope so! They don't usually do much for birthdays in Copenhagen Zoo, but I can hope they got him a few extra snacks at least.

Monkeys have tails, apes (Chimpanzees, Gorillas, Homo Sapiens, Gibbons, Siamangs, Orangutans and Bonobo/Pgymy Chimpanzees) don't have tails.
