- And so, the curtains fall curtains finally fall on the brand new B10 generation Audi S5 Sedan. The TH-cam video goes up online this very moment in full detail so go and check that one out.
If the name is confusing, is because Audi has merged the A4 and A5 together since the A4 platform will become electric, the internal combustion will be the 3,5,7,9 etc.
This new S5 Sedan is a brand new sedan concept for Audi. The trunk opens with the rear window. It also is the first ever Audi combustion engine to enable partially electric driving thanks to the new MHEV plus technology.
It features also Audis brand new interior, with lots of new tech that we will cover in the latter posts. For now, enjoy the first photos and the detailed video.

For everybody that wants to know my opinion. Here it comes. I know the world is huge and we all have different tastes, but since I’ve been doing this for over 20 years, I think I have a pretty good idea what is good and what is not. All I can tell you is what I felt when I saw this car live and as I was shooting it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I’ve been very very critical towards Audi and their direction the last 5 years, and also the lack of new exciting models. But this, this made me feel so good inside. Yes, we have the badges situation, but I know that is gonna be solved within the next few months, and all of you that have been writing and expressing themselves on the Auditography channels, can tap themselves on the shoulder. Now, this car has such a presence in real life, and it’s so freaking beautiful, I almost teared up. The quality of the interior is also much better than for example their latest Q6, Q4 etc models. That made me feel good inside. I seriously looked over on my coworker and told him ”Do you know that this is the first time in 5 years I feel like I want to buy a new Audi?’. He looked over to me and said: ”I can’t get over how beautiful this car is”. So, I don’t call myself like what I think, it has to be like that. I just expressed my 2 cents and you do whatever you want with it. Thank you and have a lovely day!
I just want frameless door. Other than that, do you consider this new A5 more beautiful than the 2016 A5 sportback when it was launched?

I like the car overall, but the only downside that makes me hesitate is the look of the center console. It has a cheap appearance, and they replaced the gear shifter with a push-button gear selector, which makes it uglier and less appealing to my inner car enthusiast.

Unfortunately Audi surrended to the (ugly) tablets trend started by Mercedes-Benz.

B9.5 A4 45 owner here whose dad has a B9.5 S5 Sportback (TFSI). I'm intrigued to see this.

And the interior, I thought it was a joke when the rumors were around. As a 15 year Audi A6 and A8 owner, NO MORE AUDI.
It really is an amazing car - THIS is Audi (Vorsprung durch Technik) and they finally listened to their customers (no more fake exhaust, V6, and so on!) - WELL DONE
But still plenty of black piano plastics interior for a 45000 euros base model, we should not tolerate such behaviour.

Honestly, if the RS version stays this curvy, it's over. The design is lackluster at best. The interior is nice, though. The seats seem to be ventilated finally, but there's way too much tech inside. The displays seem forced. The steering wheel is up for debate-I don't like it. It looks kind of like the one in the Corvette. Just keep it round or flattened at the bottom. The Audi insignias are now fully plastic, which is disappointing. I prefer them standing out with clear outlines like they used to. The rear seems okay, although the sportback is cooler. For me, the RS5 B9 is superior in every aspect except the seats.

I have to agree... I am in the market for the current S5/RS5 and heard this was making its way out. Now that I see it... I am like... it's curvy... and just does not sit well. I do not even like the wheels on it either. Most likely sticking with the B9.5

It does look very good, still not better than the current model though. I hope to see a coupe and a cabriolet, as well as RS versions. I think the dream of the V8's is long gone now, but for me, an RS must have a V8. The S-line need for have 6 cylinders though.

The interior is good but I don't like the dash how it goes all the way across like bmw. Youre spot on with the outside. I think the back is cool but the front is soft and the whole car is rounded. I bought a B9 (2019) RS5 coupe because the new ones look soft too and like a regular A5. I can't even tell the difference when I see one

I always thought an A5 Sedan would be an A4 and an A4 hatch was an A5. Maybe not officially, but that’s how I categorise them.
Exterior is a downgrade in my opinion. The be B8-B9’s were so sexy, the B10 is the biggest departure of the original ethos. Trying to hard to look like the e-Tron which I think is a mistake.

For sure. I don't like how electric cars look, and this kinda looks like a cross between gas and electric i guess...just personal taste but yeah I wish it didn't look so e-tron. Love the seats though lol.

Kinda sad this car doesn’t make 400hp. It’s surely heavier than the B9, and a 15hp seems kinda ridiculous. That said this car looks freakin amazing. Wish the Avant was coming to the states.
Really beautiful car, glad to see the return of a TFSI S model here in europe. But I don’t understand the decision to ditch the converter for a dual-clutch transmission.
I guess when i get my RS5 coupe that will be my last Audi, that is my dream car.😢
I have a 2023 Audi A5 and I love the current design better than the new one ( my personal taste bit I do not like the continue stop ligth)but the interior is the best one I have seen in the past few years 👌👌

My personal opinion on this.
Front grille has become quite "ev"-esque. Front badging is awful, headlights are beautiful though! The rear is my favourite part (apart from the absurd rear badge) of the car, stunning tail light and "booty". Interior wise - the steering wheel looks quite cheap and again "ev"-esuqe, however it looks as if the overall interior has been improved in quality and looks more luxurious (have no idea how it looks in person but on the photos and videos it definitely does)! I only kind of wished they'd give the engine some 10-15 extra horsepower, but that's alright I guess. Very excited for the upcoming rs models!
Finally A true Audi again! After year of being lost, Audi is back at making good cars 😊

This is NOT an A5 - it's an A4 re-branded as A5, hence no coupe version, as that'll by a different model in the range. Read somewhere A5 coupe and sportback will become A6. Audi, so FUBAR it's unreal.

What, as an evant or sedan? Come on. The RS5 coupe will be the new RS6 in coupe or sportback. They're doing this to justify price increases, even with quality falling. Audi on a mission to lose customers.

I love Audi, and I will die and Audi fan. When I saw this car I was reserved, but I am pretty sure I'll go nuts over it when I see it. It's just that Audi, had the slickest, sportiest coupe and Sportsback of all time literally in the current A5, S5 and RS5.

So what is the A5 sedan replacing, the A4 or 6? For what I remember when it came out, the A5/S5 was the coupe version of the A4. Then came the 5-door S5 sportback. Now the sedan. Isn't the A5 sedan essentially an A4? I'm confused. This looks good and it would make a great A4 but its not. Like BMW and their mismatched models, this is a 4-door version of a 2-door version of the original 4-door model. It's crazy to me.

"Nur" Matrix Licht? Warum nicht HD, Laser oder Digital Light? Wo ist der Vorsprung durch Technik?
Aussen sehr schade keine Rahmenlosen Fensterseitenscheiben, stand für mich immer für Premium. Auch sehr schade das es das beleuchtete Audi Logo nicht auf den A5 geschaft hat.

You can but from what I see in the Polish configurator, it’s a part of a package which I consider pretty essential since some of its components are not sold as separate options.

Um am i the only one that thinks the brakes are tiny compared to the current S5/4 models? With the added hybrid system, isn't there more weight added to the vehicle?
Not a bad design. I’m still not sold on the oversized tablets manufacturers are throwing onto their dashboards. At least put a gauge cluster hood over it to make it look like a traditional dashboard. It also seems like Audi is always holding back on each platform’s performance. There’s so much more performance waiting to be had that Audi can easily and efficiently provide but doesn’t to keep their models under the performance level of the next higher model line. Seems like the S5 has hovered around the mid 300 horsepower range for a few platform designs now.

Maybe because that would depreciate the RS 3 model. Honestly, I do not know why they do not enhance the horsepower of this S model like the current facelift model of the S3 🤷♂️.

Only points I personally don't like is the steering wheel, the front grill (If you longer look at it, it looks like the rest of it below was cut off) , too less haptic buttons (at least the climate controll and other important features should have buttons - maybe as option so everybody choose for themselves) , and the last point the "cheap" materials in the door...
aahh yeah and of course the (S) badges...
but overall great car😮
Looks really nice. I'm still not sold on the interior though, it's like they're just trying to copy BMW/Mercedes with the screens. Maybe I'll think differently if I get to sit in one.

Everything looks really good, especially the outside is what I like the most, but inside I don't like the trend of one big screen that Mercedes started, but it's acceptable and takes some getting used to, I definitely like the center tunnel because it looks like the Audi E-Tron GT, which is very nice, the worst element of the interior is the additional passenger screen, it looks terrible and as if it was glued on forcibly, I hope it will be an additional option.

Bought a brand new 2025 A3 Black Edition exactly a week ago. The software straight up doesn't work, keeps resetting everything constantly and the dealership says there's currently no fix available, so I'm returning it for a full refund as per the Consumer Protection Act. Very disappointed. It was my third Audi in 3 years (first was a lemon, second was a 2023 S5 which I loved) and I'm now done with them. Ordering a Kia EV6 instead. Not as flashy but at least they work reliably.

Love the proper exhaust, the rear gives eqs vibe (softened, more rounded so i dont enjoy the look), front bumper is too big vertically so the grill isnt that sporty anymore. This exterior doesnt have that “menacing” factor.

You only get that on the A5 and this is an A4, re-branded as A5. Get it. The new A5 coupe and sportback will be A6. Audi messing with people's heads and seems to be working, as they'll be charging A5 prices for the new A4. You couldn't make it up.
The exterior of this car is very beautiful, but the design inside the car and on both sides of the screen is very ugly. At least it would be curved and simple like BMW. It would be very beautiful. The back row of the seats is not suitable for a big person. Audi still has problems with the design of the dashboard and screen. There is a screen. He designed a crooked space

There will be sedan and Avant only. Sedan will get a big hatchback but will not look like the old A5 Sportback.
The A5 and A7 won't be anymore the "sportier" version of the A4 and A6 but simply the one with a combustion engine
