Hi Tanvir Pranto , Minoxidil can delay hair shedding, and extend the hair growth cycle. Dutamax is dutasteride, which is a DHT blocker to slow hair thinning and stimulate some hair growth. Along with PRP, this a good combination, but since a treatment like Hair Regeneration stimulate so much more hair growth than PRP or dutasteride, then it's not all you can do for hair growth. Hi Arnav Kapur, I don't find low-level laser light therapy (LLLT) to effective treatments for hair loss, and they do require a lot of time. Also, not all PRP+ACell treatments are the same. Hi Jay, Whey protein and finasteride don't interact negatively with each other, so you can continue with both. Shedding 50-100 hairs a day is normal, and the hair grows back. Pattern hair loss is when the shed hair grows back progressively thinner. It is possible to shed hair due to PRP scalp injections, depending on how the injection treatment is performed. If you still have hair present, but it's thinning, then I recommend you try TrichoStem Hair Regeneration first, as most patients who do can avoid a hair transplant, or at least delay one by many years. If you have smooth bald areas where there is no hair present, then a transplant is best done first, followed by the Hair Regeneration treatment within 1-3 months after the transplant to help graft survival, thicken native hair, and help graft and donor area healing. Shock loss is due to the trauma of treatment, usually from the trauma of a hair transplant surgery. Hi Pri me. While saw palmetto is allegedly a DHT-blocker, DHT is not a major contributor for female pattern hair loss, so I wouldn't recommend any DHT-blocker for women. There could be risks involved with PRP while pregnant, so it is recommended to be done at about 6 months after you have given birth. Grafts are often taken outside the permanent zone in FUE surgery, so some of the hairs are prone to thinning. One of the problems with hair transplantation is native hairs surrounding transplanted hairs do thin and can be lost sometime after a transplant, leaving isolated hair grafts that look like plugs. With my Hair Regeneration treatment and technique, shedding happens if you are at the end of the natural hair growth cycle, so thicker hair can grow back in its place. With other doctors, there are many factors. It also depends on where you are in your hair growth cycle, but also other factors of their injections sites, how aggressively the inject, if they are causing shock loss to hair near the injection sites, or if the injections are damaging nearby hair follicles. Hi Moumita Roy, Sorry to hear about your problem. I don't normally prescribe treatment for telogen effluvium unless there is concurrent pattern hair loss. Telogen effluvium is temporary hair shedding due to severe stress, and pattern hair loss is progressive hair thinning due to genetics. Minoxidil delays hair shedding, but if you stop using it, shedding will likely increase. Shed hair due to telogen effluvium grows back after some time, so I don't recommend treatment for it, including PRP. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Female pattern hair loss is best diagnosed using scalp biopsies at different areas of the scalp, as it is more difficult to diagnose due to the many causes of hair loss in women, so it needs to be done in person. It depends on your type of hair loss. If you still have hair present, but it's thinning, then I recommend you try TrichoStem Hair Regeneration first, as most patients who do can avoid a hair transplant, or at least delay one by many years. If you have smooth bald areas where there is no hair present, then a transplant is best done first, followed by the Hair Regeneration treatment within 1-3 months after the transplant to help graft survival, thicken native hair, and help graft and donor area healing. I can't recommend a clinic in Vancouver as I'm not familiar with the practices in the area. However, you should have a proper diagnosis by a local doctor if your hair loss increased. Pattern hair loss is gradual hair thinning, not sudden hair loss, so a dermatologist or trichologist can perform a proper diagnosis about the cause of your hair loss. I hope this helps you.

Hair shedding can still occur after injection treatments, but thinning hair needs to be shed before it grow back thicker. Shock loss is due to the trauma of treatment, usually from the trauma of a hair transplant surgery. While saw palmetto is allegedly a DHT-blocker, DHT is not a major contributor for female pattern hair loss, so I wouldn't recommend any DHT-blocker for women. There could be risks involved with PRP while pregnant, so it is recommended to be done at about 6 months after you have given birth. It should be noted that estrogen levels are particularly high during pregnancy, and most women report great hair growth during pregnancy. I hope this clarifies things for you.

If a graft is taken from the true permanent zone, they will last since they are genetically resistant to hair thinning. Grafts are often taken outside the permanent zone in FUE surgery, so some of the hairs are prone to thinning. One of the problems with hair transplantation is native hairs surrounding transplanted hairs do thin and can be lost sometime after a transplant, leaving isolated hair grafts that look like plugs. Sorry to hear about your problem. If you shed hair due to sickness, your hair should grow back after the illness has passed, with any reasonably healthy diet. I specialize in treatment pattern hair loss, which is gradual hair thinning due to genetics, not hair shedding due to illness which is usually temporary. The idea of hair looking worse than before treatment, even temporarily, is kind of worrisome and might give a patient great hesitation.

There are many factors that can influence shedding after injection treatment. With my Hair Regeneration treatment and technique, shedding happens if you are at the end of the natural hair growth cycle, so thicker hair can grow back in its place.
With other doctors, there are many factors. It also depends on where you are in your hair growth cycle, but also other factors of their injections sites, how aggressively the inject, if they are causing shock loss to hair near the injection sites, or if the injections are damaging nearby hair follicles. Hair loss injection treatments have a lot to do with individual doctor's experience. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I don't normally prescribe treatment for telogen effluvium unless there is concurrent pattern hair loss. Telogen effluvium is temporary hair shedding due to severe stress, and pattern hair loss is progressive hair thinning due to genetics. Minoxidil delays hair shedding, but if you stop using it, shedding will likely increase. Shed hair due to telogen effluvium grows back after some time, so I don't recommend treatment for it, including PRP. I hope this clarifies things for you.
