I thought I was ok at bluegrass guitar, but I don’t even think I can play billy’s rhythm here at the same speed and not make mistakes. Much less the melody lines he plays.
Thile just harmonizing his mandolin with Billy’s guitar at that speed is so impressive and he makes it seem routine!
Billy is an excellent rhythm player. Thile is so good he just rolls with it. Zero effort zero mistakes as usual.

Every time I see this clip I notice something new. When Billy is taking a break Chris is able to somehow play a complementary break with him. It’s not rehearsed but it’s impressive he can anticipate what is coming and make it sound incredible

Love Billy Strings music ever since I saw him perform in Frankfort Michigan. So impressed with his talent.

@@bonniekolb9953, Chris did some amazing performances of Bach that don't get the attention they deserve. Imagine getting Bach transcribed to work on a 4 string instrument (I know there are 8 strings but they are in unison pairs)
