  • In this video I review the Pentel brush pens, Copic brush pen, Pigma brush pen and the artists loft brush pen. I show what each pen is capable of by drawing faces and demonstrating line strokes. I talk about the pros and cons of each brush pen including price and durability.

All brush pens are made for writing. It's their primary purpose. It's the Asian pencil. We just happen to love drawing with them too ... because why not. 😊
    Nice review, thanks

I just bought each for $6.49 each. And a 3 pk of refills for a whopping $6.48. Guess the prices on them have dropped considerably since last year. Thanks for sharing this video!

02:11 🖋 Pigma Brush Pens: Offer versatility in color but lack bristle tips, resulting in eventual tip wear and less spontaneous line variation.
03:23 🖌 Artist's Loft Marker Tip: Provides fine to thick lines with similar features to Pigma Brush Pens, suitable for beginners.
05:27 🖊 Pentel Pocket Brush Pen: Offers fine detail and interchangeable cartridges, ideal for intricate work and lasting quality.
07:44 🎨 FuDe Brush Pen: Offers fine control and longevity, suitable for detailed work and available in various colors.
09:58 🖋 Copic Brush Pen: Comparable to Pentel Pocket Brush Pen, offers refillable option and quality line work.
11:57 🖊 Pentel Brush Sign Pen: Provides consistent fine lines, ideal for detailed work and complementing larger brush pens.

Your stuff will look great inked with real brushes like the Winsor Newton Series 7 #3.
Keretake Bimoji is another great disposable bristle brush pen. The ink is very dark and I think it's waterproof.
You are good at inking faces from scratch! I couldn't pull that off. Do you like David Lapham's comics? His inking style reminds me of your faces.

The ones you need to know about are extra fine, medium and bold. They come in both pigment ink (grey barrel) and dye ink (black barrel). Just search the one you want and you’ll get the product number.

I bought the brush pen kim jung gi uses and by god was it hard to use. It looks like with brush pens, the more expensive the harder it is to use. Unlike with some other art materials.
I'm sticking to hard cheap felt and brush tips, it's not like I'm selling my artworks. Mostly just for skectchbook stuff and practice.
