Good Old Pentel Brush Pen!
The Uni-Pin Extra Fine Brush Pen is also an excellent choice, although it doesn't accept cartridges and is not refillable. It is small and convenient to use, with a very responsive hair-like brush tip.
Pentel Pocket Brush Pen is my long time favourite but the Pentel Fude Brush Pen, Extra Fine might knock it off the top spot for me because you can control the ink flow by squeezing it. Great if you need to ink faster and meet deadlines lol, They're almost identical so you can't go wrong with either. Great vid!
Excellent info Thomas! I really like this pen as well. The tip on it last for a crazy long time and it is very reliable. The problem with other non bristle brush pens is if you draw too fast the nib creates a "railroad" stroke which is no good. Lately, I have been using the Pentel Pigmented Color Brush Pen. I think it is basically like the fude brush pen mentioned below (perhaps packaged with a different name?) 2 more reasons why I like this color brush is that when you start getting low on ink, it creates a nice drybrush (almost graphite look) to the ink. AND this pen holds more ink than the Pocket Brush. Some artists that use in on a regular basis are Mark Nelson, Jeff Miracola, Kim Jung Gi, Peter Han & Karl Kopinsky to name a few. Anyway, Nice video sir!
Preparing inktober 2020 and this video was really helpful :)
It looks like they come in different sizes. Do you use the Medium exclusively, or have you messed around with the others?
What are the differences/pro/cons with the similar brush pen from Pentel that is bigger? I realized that from the latter I may not like the lines on the body (as opposed to the pocket version, that is smooth), but perhaps there's more. Please tell me :-)
I like pentel pen brush but somtimes I think it spill more then usuall, is that only me ? somtimes is so easy to make a very thin line and sometimes is so hard
