OK, I have had this keyboard for about 2 years now. Cons: 1. NO NUM LOCK INDICATOR LIGHT. This one is a real PITA. I use the numeric keyboard all the time, for Sibelius mainly, and lack of NUM lock indicator is a real omission. 2. You have to run the LG hub software all the time. If you stop this app, the keyboard stops working properly (no function keys any more). It runs about 4 processes that stay active on your machine. Really? For a damn keyboard? 3. Some of the backlight LEDS have died, so keys don't show the correct colour 4. 2nd USB port is full pass through (not just power - I have my wireless mouse receiver plugged into mine). I'd love a full USB BUS in there though maybe 3 ports, even if it came from a 2nd cable. 5. Colour setting software is pretty crap - for example you can't copy the colour of one key to another key, you can only guess close enough because it's a colour mixer only. Colour-picker tool would help here. Pros: 1. Great to type on. Mine is not too loud. Very comfortable, and great action. 2. Great build quality. Sturdy, heavy but not too heavy, but it means it really sits solidly on the desk Overall a pretty good keyboard, but they really need to rethink the lack of the NUM lock indicator (there's no Scroll lock indicator either but it's hard to care about that). And put a bit more effort into the software. Also, you can't set the keys white. You can in software, but they aren't white on the keyboard.
Could you elaborate on the functions keys not working without LG hub? I am thinking of getting this keyboard for my work office and since I am working on a company PC I might not be allowed to install LG hub on it. Do the F-Keys entirely stop working if I don't use LG hub?
Yes, I also noticerd that because I have both the g513 (with Romer Gs) and the 512 (with blue GX switches a think) and the secondary characters do not light up on the 512, but they do on the 513 (which is why I prefer the latter). I guess that has to do with the Romer G switches; I just wish they would offer a clicky variety of the Romer G switches and develop that switch concept more, because it clearly has its merits. I can understand tbhe concept of the G512 line though because that also includes the option of swapping the switches and keycaps themselves, and there just wouldn't be so many alternatives with the Romer Gs.
For everyone out there doubtful to buy this keyboard, right now i am extremely angry, after 6 months of using it some keys started to malfunction, arrows don't work 8/10 times i press the key, numpad also is very unreliable, and some of the letters send 2 actions. I was extremely excited when i bought it, design is flawless, RGB is very cool, the base material is also heavy which is something i like, but key caps feel cheap, and many of them have failed, just to write this message i have to delete a lot of unintended double letters. I've had cheaper keyboards that last for years withouth any sign of malfunction

Beside the fact that this video is already a couple of years old I personally don´t recommend Romer G anymore. All (!) of my Romer G Keyboards from Logitech suffered mechanical defects after under two years of - mostly - 10 fingers writing use and only very limited use as a basical "gaming" device. The next problem is the limited possibility of exchanging switches - ´cause You´re simply bound to original Logitech keycaps despite the universally available caps which suite all Cherry switches.
I have had Logitech products for close to 10 years now and I'm pretty happy with them. Only the software is kinda bad and can cause weird problems - did you check if that was your problem?
contact the support, they probably have the best one in the world. even if you dont have warranty they will send you new mouse and you dont have to send old one back :D
not trying to hate, but I recommend you put in your opinions a lot less. I genuinely thought you didn't like the keyboard when you said you preferred tenkey less. I would just say IDC what keyboard you prefer, but that's rude. I'm just saying more on the keyboard and less on your choice. Keep up the cool reviews man!

The secondary function keys are lighting up with RGB in this video from 2 years ago. Why is this not the case when I search up the g512 to buy now?
Because the old romer g switches allowed more lighting, but they broke down sooner

Single click work as double click, its a common problem. And now it doesn't even register the click anymore.
